yeah agree. but as usual media focuses on tom brady becsuae they want to think he gets treatment. LOL. meanwhile no one gives two craps about the wentz one because he sucks LOL. then you got josh allen last week and carr this week. but somehow brady gets all the calls? lol
@@jeetknowschess take it easy you got down 21 points, should have been much more as fournette got a first down. Scotty got PI, winfield got held. Yes brady got a bad call. But mariota isnt going the length of the field against the bucs with there ear pinned back anyway. That being said hopefully they start to not make this call much going forward. The tua hit got everyone rattled. Had nothing to do with brady. Boger made a worse call on josh allen last week.
@@Rascal455 Yeah but though that call altered the game, it wasn’t like they had a whole another quarter. That call extended the Bucs’ drive and essentially ended the game. That’s why I’m mad.
@@jeetknowschess i hear ya. It was a bad call. But no way to tell. And yes they had more football after all those other calls. But they were indeed there the bucs without that call on brady i would say got screwed that whole game. Final drive makes it LOOK worse but really isnt in the scheme of things. We will see how the season shakes out might not make much difference.
For years, it’s been a penalty to land your body weight on the QB. If you watch any game where the QB is sacked or put on the ground, you see defenders bring them down without landing on them. Yeah, the rules do make it very difficult to put a good hit on the QB, which is exactly the point. Can’t hit them high, can’t hit them low, can’t land your body weight on them, can’t deliver “punishing” contact, etc etc. And they’re calling it now more than ever, because they saw what happened to Tua and had a nightmare that the world would see Mahomes or Brady twisted up and getting carted off to the hospital and be out for the season. Personally, I think it’s getting out of hand, but they made landing body weight on the QB a penalty like, four years ago, and it’s dumb as hell that people still don’t understand that that means it’s a penalty to land your body weight on the QB. They keep calling it when it happens, and it keeps getting edited into these “shocking” calls by the officials compilations, and around and around we go.
Getting? GETTING out of control? Dude. This crap has been going on for 20 years and will keep getting worse. Why? Because all of you addicts piss and moan about it and keep coming back for more.
Well he stopped playing because of being sacked so often, so I don't know what you're getting at. Also, he took the Cowboys to more than a couple of Super Bowl victories, so I really don't know what you're trying to say. haha
@@Gooner253 yea I had baseball in mind when commenting and it just sucks that all these athletes train theyre whole lives to play a sport just to have it ruined by someone who probably stopped playing as a kid bc they were ass and decided the next best route was to officiate the sport they were ass at lmao
These professional, veteran refs are making those "replacement" refs we had a few years ago during the strike look like they should be the professionals!! The NFL is not the same. It's hard to even watch anymore and I've been a fan of the NFL since I was born 33 years ago!!
@@ejdolo Well, with what happened to these QBs getting "roughing the passer' calls awarded to them, when the real roughing the passer penaltys happened and didn't get called, I bet in 5 years the new rule will be that your no longer allowed to takle or push the QB to the ground, and that you just have to wrap him up in a very loose bear hug and just stop him from moving forward or throwing the ball that way.
@@PeanutButterAndJellyBros Facts, but it was so beautiful to watch them get screwed by the Refs a year later in Super Bowl 55 against the Bucs. LOL Karma at it’s finest
@@LEBUMCHOKEDIN6FINALS I mean the chiefs' defensive backs be holding like hell in superbowl 55 as we look at those replays. The refs finally called those chiefs for holding like obsessed little girls in superbowl 55 and it was beautiful. The chiefs' defensive backs are still holding now if you were to watch the chiefs play. It's disgusting and it really comes down to whether the refs wanna call it or not.
They likely had a meeting after Tua to discuss how to further baby quarterbacks instead of trusting that teams would follow concussion protocol. Their reaction is the fault of dolphins’ coaching staff
Righhhhtttt since mahomes and allen have just about the same roughing on them as brady. With bradys number is over 270 games and mahomes and allen is over 80 games LOL. Get a clue. Allen, wentz, carr, stafford, all had call this week and worse than that one. Stop making it about brady you crybaby haters. It was a terrible call and you can throw it in there with all the other horrible ones the past 4 years. Its crazy what you can see on yourtube. Its almost like you can go back and see all the calls mahomes and allen have gotten the last few years. You should try it.
@Fallen yeah i want to know what he said, notnsure what he was saying. I thinknit was about grady pushing him after he rolled him over. Still a terrible call and im a brady fan. But its still not a brady thing. Its league wide and terrible.
It's been going on across the league since week 1 in multiple games each week. There's several games already that had have their outcomes flipped or nearly flipped by these calls. This season is insanely tainted. Worst officiating crisis since the replacements.
Look. I understand the reaction given what happened to Tua but they've gone too far in the other direction. Some of these are either perfectly decent tackles or minor brushes that are getting called as roughing the passer. What are guys supposed to do? Ask nicely that the QB fall down?
And people wonder how they can script nfl games. All you need is the head ref and you can change the course of the game. Add to that vague penalties that can be interpreted one way or another
Im absolutely in disbelief how they have the horrible calls to "protect the qb" and they still let someone hit a qb already in his slide. The most inconsistent reffing ever
I love how the NFL is making a full on push to encourage gambling on their games, yet at the same time, they’re making it impossible for gamblers to make an informed wager. You don’t know if the refs are going to make competent calls. Rules and enforcement are supposed to make the outcome completely dependent on the talent of the teams, not also on the fallibility of the refs. You’d be nuts to gamble on this product right now. Fanduel, etc. should be outraged.
But it wasn’t. It was super close, but when Picket started his slide, the defender has already left his feet. On top of that, this all happened at the first down marker
@@andrewgrove1691 Picket was trying to get a first, and the defender has to stop him from getting there. They both left their feet at the exact same time. Maybe slide earlier🤷🏼♂️
You missed the Defensive holding on the field goal during the Raiders/Chiefs game. This was overshadowed by the fumble/roughing the passer, but was equally as important of a bad call that changed the outcome of the game.
make up calls. they call something bad early so they can call something bad late and not get as much s*** for it. chiefs fans are also scumbags. calling players the n word throwing bottles. that 2nd half was the most 1 sided ref turn with calls against the raiders in history. and those refs did it because they were scared for their lives
@@jeetknowschess I'm a Cowboys fan, but watching the Super Bowl where every incomplete 4th down there was a penalty to keep the drive alive was just infuriating. And this week we saw the same thing.
Since the Falcons are my #1 most favorite team in ANY sport, I got so mad at that call. That would’ve been fourth down and the Falcons had a chance to win! Also did anyone hear at the Chiefs game the crowd chanting “refs you suck”? Yeah roughing the passer has gotten insane.
@@jeetknowschess lol all good, I figured you were just bringing attention to it, it was nuts. Arrowhead sounded like a WWE pay-per-view for a solid 2 minutes 😂
Dolphins fan here. I agree. Same sack that happened to Tua that knocked him out. Funny thing is a lot of us Dolphins fans were saying if that sacked happened to Brady it would be a flag. And here we are.
Thanks Bucs fan, Falcons fan here. That was horrendous. Even the announcer (not sure who it was) agreed with Arthur Smith as he was in disbelief when it was called.
@@todd785 the dolphins are the reason this horrible officiating is happening, if they don’t put Tua in the game against the bengals, his injury never happens and these callas don’t happen
@@jeetknowschess Falcons got robbed. I wonder why Arthur Blank hasn;t given RG an earful. Besides, that was the worst officiating I ever witnessed. Refball on both sides.
With Gambling so prevalent now in sports I would not be surprised if the Refs are being paid to have specific things happen. It is time to let New York overturn any bad call on the field.
I had no problem with Aikman's "take the dresses off" comment. You have a former quarterback saying that this protecting the QB has gotten to a ridiculous level. He's 100% right. These Brady rules have gotten way out of hand.
Between horrible calls on a drive by drive basis, and watching several players stretchered off of the field every weekend, Football is becoming impossible to watch and uninteresting
No wonder tv ratings are tanking. Terrible calls. The players are so fast and so talented from where we were 40 years ago, but it seems like these kids are really hampered from hitting a chump, and that was one of the major reasons to play.
Look, being in the NFL is like smoking. You know it's gonna be bad for your health in the long term, and you can quit at any time, but you also have to acknowledge the danger.
Found the raiders fan!! That has and always will be a penalty. You cannot prevent an oline player from blocking by grabbing them and pulling/holding them out of position to open a run lane
@@CalebJohnston apparently you didn’t really see the play in question. The lineman for the chiefs engages directly with the raiders lineman, he places his left arm in a collar tie with the raiders defender with his head to the right(left shoulder/collarbone of the raiders defender and drives into him. The chiefs player then tied up with the raiders player leans and steps into the raiders player creating the hole. The raiders player reaches under the left arm of the chiefs player at this time, causing a slight tug on the shoulder pad, but not enough to knock him out of position. In fact if you watch the replay closely the only hold was committed by the chiefs players lined up next to him on the offensive left/ defensive right. He has his right arm wrapped around the waist of the rusher and his left arm wrapped under the rushers arm across his collarbone.
@@ftb6421 I know that comprehension isn't a raiders fans strong suit. So I'll do my best to explain this to you. It is a penalty when a defender pulls an oline man towards them. It always has been. Regardless of your feelings and what you asked Santa for, it's still a penalty. There are coping mechanisms that you can use to overcome your raiders bias, but if you can't accept they're a dirty team yet, I don't want to be the one to break it to ya, but they lead the league in penalties. Hell you'll be without davante for the next 4 games or so, so those close losses? Those are a thing of history. 🤣
@@CalebJohnstontheres never been a holding call on field goals since 2015 which was on the raiders and called by the same refs too. so no that wasnt a hold plus koonce literally had his neck grabbed, how i that not holding hmm?
well his hit on trubisky back in 2018 was actually the correct call. dontt be bitchin when rodgers is literally the king of getting all the calls. should i mention akiem hicks so called roughing the passer on rodgers or how about rodgers grabbing bears facemask last year.
That’s not how it works though. If a defender knocks the ball loose after a catch it’s incomplete. He has to “make a football move” which usually means take a couple steps or turn upfield before he can fumble
The NFL refs make a tad over $200,000 per year. You'd think there would be some minimal standard of accuracy for someone making that much. Instead, the continuous fountain of bad calls is deciding who wins and who loses.
I remember a clip from a previous video (probably last week) where they expelled a player for accidentaly bumping into the referee but didn't do nothing about the guy that was thrown to the ground.
I am 57 years old. I feel sorry for out young true football fans. You didn't get to see how real football was played. The way they baby these quarterbacks is ridiculous. Even Lawrence Taylor played today he would set records for penalties. If you want to see some great tackles on a quarterback. Search for Lawrence Taylors greatest hits. Then you can see how they let players play. They have ruined the game. What a shame.
That Brady call is why I hate the NFL now. Unless you can overturn bad ref calls, the game looks rigged. Fire bad refs and they'll be a little more careful in the future.
Never thought I would lose interest in football so quick. With all these lightly touch roughing the passer. Bring back the rules from the 90s and before.
NFL officiating is why I could care less. I will never invest time into it. If they aren't going to get it right 100% of the time I could care less about it.
You ok there Football? I mean at this point you might as well just remove the entire line of scrimmage since nobodies allowed to touch the QB anyway so there's not really any reason for them to be there.
Referee- Oh No, TOM!!! TOM!!! ARE YOU OK!?! MEDIC!!! HE'S BEEN SHOT!!!" Tom- actually I'm fi-- Referee- ROUGHING THE PASSER!!! ROUGHING THE FUCKING PASSER!!!
This league growing softer year by year...its very sad. NFL needs new refs. The old refs need to retire. I miss when defenders can actually play defense. Sad year for the NFL.
What about the roughing the passer on mahomes? Davante pushing off and his offensive pi? The holding on the fg was legit. You wanna complain? Complain you have a dirty team.
Didn’t see a single roughing the passer or what ever davante did but the way they were throwing flags I’m sure they would’ve thrown it and I would rather have a “dirty team” than a racist as fan base
@@bmhancock01 ummm what? 😅 You do realize every single person in the stands loves Patrick mahomes right? Pretty much every player on that team. Racist? Oooof that's a bad take. But when you're team sucks, and you have a personality your dad wishes he blew into a sock, I get it.
@@CalebJohnston obviously they gonna love mahomes especially if he wins and I said your fans are racist it’s sad you guys yelling the hard R to players still and throwing beer at them as they go to the locker room, it for sure is not the first or last time u guys will do that smh
