Came here to say this. I really dont understand how refs dont get penalized or at least plays like this looked at closer from upstairs.@@ilovecobblestonee
Yeah but at the same time some announcers that announce for the team they use to root/play for will back bad calls and diminish GOOD calls for the other team, which is why no one except Chiefs fans want Chris announcing for the chiefs
Beyond incompetence - NFL refs are deciding games on a regular basis. It's not worth investing any time watching a sport where outcomes are determined in the league office.
With what we know about the long-term effects of these hits, I don't see how you can have a sport like professional football anymore. What the NFL is trying to do is save a sport that is dependent on hard hits while somehow keeping it safe, and you just can't do it. So you get these ambiguous rules that you just can't accurately apply. Pass interference, hits on "defenseless" receivers, helmet to helmet contact, landing on the quarterback...these are all impossible to enforce with any semblance of consistency, no matter how hard the NFL tries to ram it down our throats. There's no way this isn't costing them viewership
Remember how that one player had all the controversy for his "prank" acting like the seasons were all scripted from the beginning, then everyone laughed it off because that would be IMPOSSIBLE? Yea, doesn't seem like a prank anymore.
@@tmtmtlsmln that's the shitty part but at the same time football can't end. It's too amazing and fun of a sport to watch n play. They just need to make better padding and protection, keep enforcing anti doping laws, find some balance with the betting world to make cheating less viable and work on teaching players how to get hit and fall better. Instead of just hitting harder
At some point the room for "human error" has to be re-adujusted because wow... I don't carre who you root for, this is insane regardless. Watching 32 teams get cooked over poor officiating is getting ridiculous!
go look at all the other weeks and last season at this point we should be asking which NFL referee team will be winning its the same with the heated moments and fights videos and the brutal hits.
The problem with the review is the face saving neutral position that defaults to the call on the field needing an act of god to overturn. It's very much like how the "office of the president" is considered sacred, so the clown breaking every law known to man gets a pass.
Wtf were the refs looking at with that punt kick recovery by the Texans?!! They must’ve had another angle cause the replay clearly showed the ball hitting number 37 from the Texas!!!! And wtf did that announcer say? “There wasn’t enough definitive evidence to overturn it?” Is covering for the refs part of the job description when applying to be an announcer?
Apparently there was only one angle of that return, so yeah, it LOOKED like 37 touched it, but technology hasn't advanced to the point where the NFL has enough cameras for a view from the other side of the play.
Amazing that 11 weeks in and each week we get a 15 min video of bogus calls from the refs. Something needs to change. If players get fined then the refs should be fined for horrible calls.
@@thejuniorseas7683 I'll take 200 million guaranteed to wear a skirt. I get to be fashionable AND rich? Yes please. That said despite all the penalties, this has been a hard year to be a starting QB. So many nasty injuries.
As a passer you are defenseless, as a runner you are not. That's why when a QB takes off as a runner he loses the protections of a passer, even if a runningback becomes a passer, they get the protections of being passer, as they should. Same for punters/kickers, they are in a defenseless and vulnerable state.
I agree why can't they tackle pretty boy quarterbacks. I can accept not allowing players to completely truck them. Although it would be cool if players could. But players get penalized for the lightest tackle. Tom Bradys legacy.
That 1st safety against Pittsburgh was ridiculous! During the game I was stupefied. It was like the refs gave the QB “forward progress” on a drop back! Aren’t there rules for this shit? Damn. Should have just spotted the ball back on the line of scrimmage!!
I'm a lifetime Steeler fan and the calls FOR the Steelers/Against the Browns are ridiculous. The ref's were clearly against the Browns. You deserved that game.
I've been defending Jackson's other hits and how they were all legal, except for the one that he got ejected for against Washington. That said, this one definitely looked like spearing to me. I see a lot of people defending it calling it "just football," but I really don't see it that way. People often defend it by saying if a runningback took that hit, nobody would care, but I disagree there too. That was an absolutely ejectable hit, and really should have been a 15-yard penalty and an ejection. I don't think Kareem Jackson is a dirty player, though, he's just old-school in how he plays the game. He's been in the league for 13 years and it's probably easier said than done to adjust when you've been playing a certain way for so long. He's also great player. Too many players are trying to make tackles by wrapping their arms around the opponent, and it's _clearly_ not working. Jackson doesn't really do that; he throws his shoulder into their chest and levels them. Football is a violent sport, and when you're trying to stop a 6'3" 200-pound freak of nature, chances are you can't do it by wrapping your arms around him and hoping you can drag him down.
Fined 4 times so far this year, suspended twice, all for illegal hits to the head. Suspended for 4 games for illegal hit to the head, appeals and gets it reduced to 2 games, then on his VERY FIRST TACKLE after suspension he makes another illegal hit to the head on a defenseless player and gets another 4 game suspension. OF COURSE HE'S A DIRTY PLAYER.
It wasn't in this vid but during the same game they didn't call another leading with the helmet on a hit by the Vikings on Sutton. It would be interesting to see how many missed calls each crew has and what type. It would be a pretty large effort though.
3 things: 1) wow ALL highlights from the KC chiefs game were in favor of the eagles. I thought KC was the face of the NFL and the refs would never allow them to lose a game huh? Where are all those people now? 2) that punt return that hit Houston #37 ..................... That's soooooooooooooo freaking bad dude! Like, I GET that you have to give preference to the call on the field ........... No, I really do. But that was just so bad. This was a completely unbiased observation as it was the first time I saw or heard the play. The clip in here was 100% clear and convincing to me that it hit Houston first ... In fact the receiving team never touched it iirc (I'm typing this after watching the whole video just going off first reaction memory) 3) regarding the last play highlighted here: oh so NOW people want to complain about refs calling this sort of thing an incomplete pass? I vividly recall a scenario exactly like this in last Super Bowl but EVERYBODY (except KC fans) was ok with overturning the call on the field that time.
He also only showed the missed calls that would have gone against the Eagles …. not any of the either missed calls on the Chiefs or dubious calls against the Eagles.
defensive players can violate the line of scrimmage and safely come back as long as no offensive players commit a false start in result of the jump and the ball is not snapped. In the play, while the player had crossed the line of scrimmage, the tackle from Kansas city had just pointed at him (not a false start), and only started to move after the player had already returned to a legal position, therefore it is indeed a false start.
Every time you upload these, the more I am urged to stop watching football COMPLETELY. Sports nowadays seem rigged or predetermined. Thanks for showing the NFL we are catching on. Other than that, good video
Ikr. The games seem rigged to insure large market teams win. The LA /Saints playoff game years ago was the last time I took the NFL seriously. It's WWE, imo.
@@eriksturdevant8589So why were all the bad flags against the chiefs? Theyre the second biggest team after the cowboys. Dont blame on malice what you can blame on incompetence
The simple fact that a video over 10 mins long can be made each week of bad calls/missed calls/wrong calls, it really shows of horrendous the NFL officials are. AI officiating can't come soon enough and put these clowns out of a job.
bingo; if anything, nfl has become more popular since '12, when the refs were replaced by pop warner-level scabs. ah, seahawks vs packers always brings back memories...
Problem is 2012 proved the ref league has a fair margin of power over the NFL. With them absent, games were so bad that we ended up with the infamous Failmary. So people, the NFL included, had to abide by what the refs wanted. Admittedly if we want change, we'll have to accept the fact the NFL will be in a bad spot for a bit after pushing the Refs away for bad calling. Train up their own for long term usage instead.
As much as I enjoy these videos there's always a couple that make me roll my eyes. Like a few of the tackles this week and even that block by Arizona feel like they're only here to extend the length of the video.
Budleewiser seems to forget that a call can't be overturned without irrefutable evidence. A lot of these are just too close to call. I keep saying it every week, this video should be about half the length.
@@slayerozombies the ones that annoy me are mostly the ones that aren't penalties, but fans of the opposing team wanted it to be in that instance. Especially routine hits.
Nobody ever says " I am going to lie. ....". When someone says " I'm going to be honest" I think maybe they've either already lied to me or are planning on lying to me.
The training video a couple weeks ago says if a QB is doing a passing motion, no matter where (out of pocket or pass the line of scrimmage) you can get roughing the passer. I seen a few QB do pump fakes as they are near the line of scrimmage and the person has to hold up from hitting him or it will be roughing...
These refs are utter trash. If they don’t fix this the game will become unwatchable because fans will feel robbed because of these calls. Makes you wonder what why it’s happening, considering the sports betting world nowadays
wonder why it's happening ?? All you have to do is open your eyes. DEI. Same as what they are doing to the schools in this country. Reduce the intelligence and skill level requirements so the "oppressed" can compete and get jobs. diversity is our strength .. (lmbo)
Its hitting a defenseless receiver. I agree that it should be a legal hit; the QBs should stop throwing hospital balls. But that is clearly a flag considering how they have been calling similar hits all year.
I know you couldn't highlight the constant holding of Jalen Carter on Monday night because ESPN didn't focus on it like they did on anything the Eagles did.
@@JakeThompson14fletcher was getting held all game too. And people complaining about that false start on the center for the chiefs is hilarous because it was a good call, he was set and then unset himself
Exactly! Jalen Carter was getting blatantly held ALL game. The one Mahomes scramble down the sideline Carter got tackled from behind or would have been a sack.
Watching the replay video of a penalty during the game I noticed swift getting handled by the face mask. Should have been offset penalties on that play.
Am I the only one who likes unbiased commentators? I like it how they will call it a bad call regardless of whether it's for their team or the opposing team.
An entire Chiefs TD drive starting with the block in the back on the punt return right in front of the returner, but none of that is on here for some mysterious reason.
Its not just the refs. The clock issue needs investigated from the bears/lions game. That td before the half shouldn't have happened because time had run out, but with the manipulation, they had extra time.
The shit terrible. These games are clearly being fixed and not ONE mainstream sports media outlet is talking bout it. Thank you for puttin a spolight on this bs. 💯
Genuinely, I think Sean Payton needs to be investigated again for bounties. The past few weeks, the Broncos players seem to be playing very dirty. Especially when it comes to QBs
YES. The Broncos vs. Vikings game should have demanded an immediate investigation by the league of exactly that. He has done it before, just because he is with another team doesn't change anything. The hit on Dobbs was bad but the hit on Mattison had me seriously concerned for a second that he might have gotten paralyzed, and that was out in the open and not called, very easy call to make, it was graphic and terrifying to watch. I can't recall who the player was who made that atrocious hit on Mattison but they should have been suspended for multiple games by the NFL (if they weren't but I don't think anything happened). Sean Payton should have not only been banned from the league for the bounty program but I think he should have had criminal charges for conspiracy to commit assault brought against him.
PI I can get but dear god not RtP. The issue with RtP is even a simple pump fake can get it called. You've prolly seen a lot of them this year, like with Lamar Jackson who always pump fakes then runs. In other words, it wouldn't be overturned ever. It's a minimalistic call. Most you can change with reviews is having MORE of them called.
Bad calls have become the norm. I say it again, just put the flags on their hips and get it over with. At this point, I just catch some highlights here and there, while I do other things on Sunday's.
Budleeweiser you have the best content on the internet. If the NFL isn’t careful the gambler is going to realize they are being hoodwinked. Although the NFL billionaires don’t care. They are getting paid for entertainment.
"If the NFL isn’t careful the gambler is going to realize they are being hoodwinked." not if they're addicted...it's comical that draft kings/sportsbooks and now even gambling addiction PAs air on game days. they're not even hiding the association the slightest bit...
There needs to be some better type of quality assurance for some of these calls. I realize a lot of those decisions are very tough to make in real time, but they’re affecting outcomes of games. If they can review game footage and impose fines on players after the fact they should be able to review the penalties/no calls.
Here's my thoughts on the calls. I get it we all make mistakes, after all we are humans not God. But the fact the refs are intentionally making bad calls is NOT a mistake, it's a screwjob, and this kid does not tolerate screwjobs. So these refs deserve to be fired or be held accountable.
As a Ravens fan I don't like that there were a few iffy calls that went their way. They're not KC, they don't need refs to win. Btw there were 3 penalty non-calls on the last 3 plays of KC's first scoring drive that the announcers didn't pick up on. 2 holds and a false start - they should have been struggling for a field goal, not walking in a TD. I'm pretty sure every single scoring drive in that game had a bad call or non-call. You didn't have to validate their fans' whining by only showing the ones that went Philly's way. Also, was that Logan Wilson piling on at the end of that Hill run? Hmmm
Referees should be hold accountable for blatandly missed or bad calls, they have so much power they can determine who wins or loses (and make a lot of money) so if they are constantly doing that they should be fined or fired. I strongly believe the worse thing it could happen to any sport is betting against them. Money determines who wins the pot.
I only casually watch the NFL now. The Rams/Saints game convinced me that the game is semi-rigged to insure maximum profit. Of course the NFL would want large market teams (e.g. LA) to go to the Super Bowl versus smaller market teams (New Orleans). Rigged for profit, imo.
@crankfastle8138 so what happens when you guys realize that Kenny was the real problem? And regardless of play calling, Canada wasn't the one out there throwing to ghosts, or spinning out of the pocket when he has a wide open reciever. Canada wasn't in control of that
I like all the times the O line was called offsides when it was clearly Kelce's hand and not Landon's. But hey, let's complain only when the Eagles get the benefit.
@jun6174 or how about the blatant holding call in the Cheifs game that directly resulted in a touchdown for the Eagles? I call so obvious that even the officiating director said it should have taken 6 points off the board. Thats probably a little more important than a mistaken offsides call. Just my thinking though. 🤔
@@jun6174 or the super obvious facemask against... I believe it was the Dolphins receiver that somehow went uncalled even though it was right in front of the ref? Yeah, the Eagles have benefited QUITE a bit from calls/no calls this year.
Several of the games were reffed really well. Of course there will be some missed calls but sometimes a no call is good and there was nothing crazy this week.
weekly reminder that the nfl is like wwe: it's entertainment only and not to be taken seriously; i can't believe people pay what they do for entertainment, but to each their own...
I'm a Texans fan and we have at least 15 bad calls against us by this point in this Season !! The Refs it seems are trying to help the bigger Market Teams since more views will be on those Teams come the Playoffs & SB . It's not which Team has played better !! It's about views and money !!
There are some truly appalling decisions in these examples. Is there a rule on Challenges that prohibits a challenge on Foul Play? If so, why? It is absurd / inept / costly to teams / detrimental to the game. We HAVE to assume corruption is not involved. But this simply makes it seem like corruption is involved.
The thing is we have the tech to be able to determine some of these calls that are missed. Im sure there is someone programming a program that can determine holding, PIs, legal hits, and other things. Perfect example is the punt that clearly hit the defensive player. Gps in helmet gps in ball, you can pinpoint it within inches, probably even more accurate. It would have clearly shown the ball was inches away from the offensive player but directly hit the defensive player. Refers will only be there for theater soon.
In my opinion the new fad of online gambling has added to corruption and bad calls by NFL and NCAA officials. I may be wrong but there seems to be more and more non-calls and controversial calls!
Something is not right at these Philly games. It's like someone who's very powerful is forcing the refs to ignore and make calls in favor of Philly. And for some reason the upper management who holds the ref accountable is doing nothing about a bad calls.
Follow the money. Since betting on college and NFL games is allowed, notice the amount of “ bad” calls favoring one team or the other and the scores. Someone’s making big money on CFL and NFL.. I’ve stopped watching football because the calls ruin the game when you can tell someone is being favored
@maekklyn I don't know what you're on, but you're misunderstanding a lot of things. Methinks that Football is the most popular sports among men. Basketball is a close second. And a close follow up is MLB. In all three of these sports, people have made friends with the bench like it's a gamers couch. They see next to no time on the field. This goes for college football as well, which has like 3-4x the teams the NFL has. I would say they're willing to play the sport itself. No, the issue with injuries comes with the NFL not offering lifetime insurance despite the MLB offering it as long as you play in ONE major league game. It's laughable.
