NGC COIN Submission - Shocking Results and Mistakes made by NGC 

If you call NGC and point these issues out, they will correct it at their expense! They did it for my silver dollar that they slabbed as a fifty cent piece! They also paid postage both ways! Sorry this happened, Raven..but quite a wake-up call! Buyer beware! What a waste of time, money and effort! One mistake is an accident. Several mistakes is simply an unacceptable level of human error!

😲 what the heck NGC 🤷‍♂ That many mistakes in one submission. I do like the 5 oz silver quarters. Slabmaster J approved 👍👍 But, the mistakes on the slabs....not sure about

Thank you for sharing. Same thing happened to me this week with a complete set of 2009 Lincoln Anniversary pennies. NGC labels were wrong on 2 of the coins- I had to resubmit them as a “mechanical error”. I can’t help but wonder what quality assurance controls the NGC has in place when errors of this nature occur. I mean, a basic check of label against coin is not asking a lot. The adage, “you had one job to do!” comes to mind. Scarier than that, it begs the question whether or not the grades were off as well. Oy- now there’s a can of worms.

Unacceptable for a ten coin submission. These graders are going through hundreds, if not thousands of coins per day and to screw up like this tells me they need to slow down and get it right.

28th 👍 Another reason to cover the scannable part of the sticker is to remove the risk of someone being able to copy it and make fake labels for fake coins. I respect the effort, Brother RavenHawk!

This is one of the things that keep me away from the modern coins and rounds in slabs. Its a nice way to keep them protected. But personally I like to save slabbage to older coins. Ive also heard all the rumors and there seems to be alot of things going on with the grading companies recently. It keeps me away from making my own submissions. It sure is nice to be able to look up a coin and get an immediate estimate and not worry if your buying a cleaned or worst case scenario counterfeit.

Labeling seems like a QC error and should be corrected. Free shipping both ways and maybe a few free vouchers.

Honestly makes me wonder if they even looked at the coins

Think I have heard of some other collectors with the same problem. It might be good to have them as errors, but if they slip up on an easy part like the slab --- makes ya wonder if they make lots of mistakes in the grade?

Wow !! You would never figure, especially after the cost of grading a 5oz, that they would mess those labels up so bad. But I know NGC they will fix it.

First off, love the over sized slabs by NGC! They do very interesting things with their holders. It looks like they may have put the wrong labels to the wrong slabs, although the Chickasaw one has no reason to be there. One error is one thing, but several???. Each one of these companies have quality control. There's no way THAT should be happening. Too much dinero is being paid by customers for that many errors. Maybe they're getting overworked...They have been getting slammed these first 3 months of the year. But there isn't room for sloppy work from these companies. Big giant silver rounds and we can't line up the details label with the coin?

That's pretty messed up right there. I'm not one to critique mistakes because I've certainly made them, but I'd think a quick double check would be in order

I don't have a problem with the grading companies being tougher on some than others... What drives me crazy... people that submit coins that clearly have no idea about grading and then complain about the grades... this has nothing to do label errors, just about the grades... And regardless of a person's knowledge and experience sometimes I think people need to be much more careful and selective when choosing what coins to submit... I know graders don't spend a lot of time looking at our coins, but how much time do we actually spend looking at them with a loop... sometimes it isn't long enough! Just my two cents!

I know all the grading companies have multiple graders for each coun.They must look at 💯 s of coins a day.My only thing is why are some slabs right and some wrong.My last comment on your videos was to buy the coin and not the slab but in this case buy the slab!I'm guessing if they were your coins you would keep them as well.Thanks for a great video.I like to see what kinds of grades these companieTake cares issue for each coin.I would like to see a video wherecoins are submitted to multiple grading services and see what grades they give them.I bet they would be different.

I’d return them to NGC because having the wrong name on label is not a good look. Could drive away some sales because potential buyers may think they’re fakes

I would ask NGC to re-slab them with correct labels. . Population report data should not influence the grade.

For what they charge there should be better quality control.

Those are some beautiful pieces. Thats a serious mistake, people clearly aren't paying attention in a business that is supposed to be all about fine details. Id be VERY mad. I was just watching a video on PCGS doing stuff like this, like saying a quarter is a nickel and so on.

Keep them as is, worth way more with the error. I would be hapy lol

Well look at it this way you have some errors. 🤷‍♂️ I really don’t like how huge those cases are. It seems like overkill to me but they are still pretty cool. I have a few I’d like to get graded because I also have the W’s. I think I have 4 that match w’s to 5oz’ers.

Mistakes happen but unfortunately these grading companies brag about the millions of coins being graded and they are all hooraw and woopty doo attitude that's millions they have made from the general public, they should be held accountable for thier flaws , jus sayin

Grading is a scam, Grading coins began in 1981/82 right at the same time as collecting really took off in America and became huge.. Of course people collected before that but the coin boom with massive values started at the exact same time as coin graders popped up, coincidence? There's tons of videos of people getting wrong gradings and two identical coins being graded different always in the favor of vip members to the coin grading companies...

I understand what CAC is trying to accomplish, but when people send in already graded and slabbed coins and want them to be cracked out and graded by CAC, the probability of the coin losing a grade or 3 is very high, or getting an environmental, what happens when someone sends in a Lincoln Cent and it's beautiful, should get a high MS grade, then, after a few years later the coin tones in the holder, what are CAC gonna say about that?
