And it's nothing against people who live in coyote or whatever the city's called but it's like putting a football team here nobody cares about it why have a hockey team where nobody cares I would not care but for me paying hundreds of dollars to see a hockey game on paying for them to have your team
Vegas and Phoenix are only 4 hours away from each other and Vegas has one of the highest attendance in the league backed up with a Stanley cup win. Hockey can succeed in Arizona it just needs to be marketed correctly!!!
@@anthonys3631 obviously there’s an issue though. A large tv market and not a lot of people wanting to watch the coyotes. There’s been times the coyotes have been good and that still can’t sustain them. The league really should’ve saved Atlanta and had Arizona (Phoenix) go back to Winnipeg. Hopefully you get this arena and put it all to bed.
@@Falconforge89 I'm in Vancouver Canada my friend. That's just what I had heard is that Arizona is a large TV market. I know where you are coming from and I agree with you. The team should have relocated buy now either to Quebec City(they have a brand new beautiful arena in place plus corporate support) or Houston. Rockets owner would like to get an NHL team there. Atlanta? I dated a girl from there around 15 years a go(she was from Snelville GA) and she told me the majority of the people population there are black and they just aren't into hockey. As well a few years back I was at a Atlanta FC versus Vancouver Whitecaps major league soccer game here in Vancouver and met a few Atlanta fans in attendance at the game. Jokingly brought up the Super Bowl CHOKE JOB versus New England then discussed hockey. They told me that growing up in Atlanta no one there really played hockey. NHL has tried there twice. Had Arthur Blank bought the team last time it was for sale and/or going under you know he'd have succeeded with them. It's unfortunate.
@CWS and TKP 66-02 not exactly sure about that. Buy the sounds of it yes. But the team is probably getting rewarded a nice fat paying TV contract which in turn helps alleviate the teams financial losses yearly. But buy the looks of it now the Tempe Arizona entertainment district idea was voted down yesterday. So looks more than likely Bettmann's Arizona project wanting to keep a team their has failed and the team will relocate after next season. They are going to play one more year at Mullett Arena.
@@anthonys3631 no, they shouldn't relocate to quebec city. quebec city failed for a very good reason... the canadian dollar is not level with the american dollar, and no player would want to stay in a market where nearly 25% of their revenue goes to provincial tax. it also would completely screw up the division/conference alignments, so if there's any place the coyotes would move it'd definitely be to houston. the nordiques will never come back... period.
as much as I dislike bettman he handled that encounter well. But yeah look at that clown with the sign that’s who frequents AZ now and voted against having a hockey team. I say f em
