I have seen some people here claiming that John Stewart is the voice of reason amongst the late night hosts and claiming that Seth is a mouthpiece of NBC. If you have been watching Seth for any length of time, you know this statement is false. Both Seth and John Stewart are excellent late night hosts, who are skillful at exposing the gravitas and urgency of our political crisis. Seth has been doing so often and consistently for ten years straight. John took a break; I am glad he is back now, even if we only get him once a week. However, to suggest that Seth crossed some line in the sand during last night’s ACL is akin to denouncing Biden’s performance based on just one debate. I went back and watched both John’s monologue and last night’s ACL. I didn’t find them so far apart except that Seth additionally spent some time on Project 25 and used RFK as the running joke. A second watch of both might illustrate the similarities in content as it refers to Biden. I do think it is time, however for Seth to retire Biden’s tripping up the stairs clip. Neither candidate is the picture of physical health. Now is the time to focus on cognitive health and concrete policies.

Project 2025 is a subtitle. The actual work is called "Mandate For Leadership: The Conservative Promise". If you were to go to wikipedia and search for "Mandate for leadership" you would see that this is a series from the Heritage Foundation. A series going back to 1981. I think debates are stupid anyways. I work in executive level parts of companies and I often "lose" debates. A liar can easily make a broad generalization while the truth is far more complicated. It's easier to get confused trying to explain it. Better to just have receipts and deliver them when appropriate.
