Lindgren bailed out poor defense by the Capitals as usual. Kuznetsov made a fantastic play leading to the second goal. When he's good, he's one of the best forwards on the Capitals. When he's not good, he's not one of their 12 best forwards. Hopefully this is a good sign and Kuznetsov will be productive going forward. The Capitals played better against Seattle than they did against New York, but they lost by 3 to Seattle because Kuemper wasn't good and Daccord was incredible. But they win this game by 1 because Quick was decent, while Lindgren was fantastic.

Lindgren comes back from a lengthy injury and stumps the Rangers again. I love Tom Wilson, but Chucky Sideburns aka Charlie Lindgren should be an All-Star! Why does the Metro only have one goalie in Shesterkin representing them, where he has a 2.90 GAA and .901 SV%?! That is not All-Star caliber for a goalie. The Central has 3 goalies and the Metro has 1. Georgiev is not an All-Star goalie either.

Mantha is making a name for himself. Great season so far. Now, is this just because he's in the final year of his contract, or a flash in the pan one-time career highs? I'm going with the latter.

@@boerhae Huh? McMichael was in Hershey from last November through the Calder championship. Mantha was working through injuries until this season. Both seem to be in a groove. The only person to disappear is Lavi.

???sounds like you are hanging this loss on Panarin? he gave a few sick dishes tonight to Lafreniere and had the puck bounce/roll on him a few times unluckily. Coupled with very good goaltending by Lingren, I think this is a ridiculous take.

rangers - always paper tiger, because they are regular season heroes - the cognitive or recency bias among fans and "experts" remains. probably the most overrated teams in east, Vancouver is the same in the west. not a thing different about this team than last year (enough with micro analysis). they keep losing to teams that WANT to win more. I expect its possible even the leafs might beat them this year (if they meet)

Lindgren won that game. Caps needs to shake up the Dcore, too many wtf-plays made in every game.

Unfortunately, they've got multi-year contracts with most of their defensemen (not Sandin or Edmundson, and Bear for just one season after this). Also they don't have many good defense prospects in the minors. Iorio is probably their best defense prospect, but he's nowhere near as good of a prospect as Stevenson at goalie, or Miroshnichenko, Leonard, and Cristall at forward.
