Nico, “you’re a naughty, naughty swine.” LOL. Great line. Who ever is doing the editing of the videos for Fully Charged needs a pay raise. They are most impressive of late.

If some of these videos don't start going properly viral, there is something wrong either with RU-vid or with the viewers. This channel, most especially since Jonny came on board, is just the best. Every video is interesting... and some like the Robert & Jonny news episodes are properly funny. And the quality of the editing on these bigger videos is just fantastic. This channel needs to skyrocket in popularity.

Great fun episode. Yes, it is a voyage back in time actually, but let's not forget, Porsche actually build their first fully EV car in 1899 and a hybrid three years later. Hope they can translate that into the future. However, since they dropped the ball in the meantime, they sadly have to play catch up to Tesla, as does the whole car manufacturing business, with the possible exception of Nissan-Renault in the low to mid price segment.

I am very impressed with Nico's thoughts of the car and how quickly he was able to extract that level of performance from it. I like many others quickly forget just how fast these F1 drivers have to react. Plus how much goes into the engineering that creates a machine that we all think we could drive. When you hear an F1 driver admit that he was close to loosing it on the track makes me understand what happens to people who talk about how fast some cars are but will never have the skill or be brave enough to extract the total technology from most of today's hyper cars. Nico is getting better.

Bwahahaha! You should have seen your eyes, Jonny! Like saucers when he hit that throttle and went through the gears. That Spyder was impressive and looks like a really, really, really fun car to drive. I drove my boss' 928 to 125mph on southern California roads once, and that was fun. I'd had to pop the dashboard out for them to fix it after a wreck and got to test drive it after I had aligned the wheels. But he had quiet exhaust in it, nothing like that. Thanks, Jonny. Such an amazing and groundbreaking car. When it came out suddenly every gear-head (self included) lusted for one ... and had to admit there was "something to this electric thing." Then I saw my first Nissan Leaf on display at the inaugural Grand Prix in Austin. Now on my 2nd EV I know that special feeling of driving electric. I don't think I could ever go back to gas even if they weren't, you know, a necessary step on the road toward saving the human race from misery and abject poverty.

Nico is truly a great bloke; so much talent and charisma, yet none of the attitude that often accompanies these overachievers! Great editing between the in-car drama and their conversation as well.

Thanks for the video, and thanks to Nico for the quick drive of the 918 Hybrid. 25km of EV range is a joke though, and the 918 is heavily petrol/combustion biased. Taycan may be a good EV, but it's still going to built in relatively tiny numbers and many years late relative to pioneers like Tesla. It also won't be as good of a value as Model 3, though hopefully it will drive well too.

Nico personality is likeable. perfect if he continues doing youtube video car review or prototype car review.

Did not know where else to place this comment. I thoroughly enjoy the fullychargedshow. I am a Techno Geek. I love to see all kinds of Electric Vehicles. Today something just dawned on me. For over a hundred years there has been separation of skills between an Auto Mechanic and an Electrician. Or Truck Mechanic and Electrician. But with the advent of the newer electric vehicles I see those skill set merging. Auto Mechanics will have to have much more Electrician Skills that knowing just the electrical wiring of vehicles and less and less about Internal Combustion and Diesel Engines. Are the Auto Mechanic Trade Schools adjusting to this trend?

Nico is just the nicest guy. I met him briefly at Silverstone in 2016 and he had endless time for everyone, as did Lewis. Cheeky Max Verstappen had a big grin on his face as he nearly cycled into me but didn't stop. But I couldn't be mad at him, he was only 12.😂

Campaign to get Robert sat in the passenger seat of a hypercar being driven by an F1 world champion

Nico's a tremendously personable, charismatic, and talented young chap; people on this Channel suggesting that he becomes the Fully Charged test pilot should be wary, though. Many of the Comments I've read from keen proponents of EVs are aimed at developing the breed for practical day-to-day use by ordinary (albeit pretty wealthy) people. That's fine. There's a 'danger', though, that concentrating on power, performance, track days and what used to be high-octane thrills will steer the Channel in the wrong direction. It will become an electric 'plugged' version of Top Gear. It's true that high-end developments gradually trickle down and improve things for lesser machines, but don't kid yourself: people with cash don't care. Subscribers on RU-vid don't care, either. They'll just want more and more speed and performance, stunts and races, celebrities and crashes, and this excellent Channel will wither and die. The Beavis and Butthead "Huh-huh, that was cool" gene will become dominant. Please, don't let that happen! Please don't be seduced by Nico's undoubted charms! If you want speed and thrills and hypercars and ruddy great big-block V8s - and there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't want such things - watch some other RU-vid Channels as well as this one. I'm an ex amateur rally driver from the Group B era, but I'm well aware that such things have no place on a Channel like this. So I get my rally fix elsewhere. Please, let Fully Charged maintain its focus and get you petrol kicks elsewhere, too. There are hundreds of brilliant, awesome, hilarious or stoooopid Channels to choose from, but this one needs - yes, NEEDS - to stay different. If that sounds elitist, well, it is. Yes. It's not something to be ashamed of. Accept it. If electric vehicles hope to succeed, their supporters need to adopt the moral high ground. Adopting it doesn't mean you have to chuck rocks down on the people below, though - it just means staying alert to those trying to undermine your position and deflect you from your goals. Top Gear began on the BBC as a very serious, dry, practical motoring programme. No stunts, no silliness, just honest, unspectacular, in-depth auto-analysis by mature presenters who were passionate about... Um... Well, about stuff that 45 year-old family car owners and pipe-smoking gentlemen-motorists were, but that the street-racing, vociferous members of the public weren't. Young guys - petrol-heads - wanted a show for hairgelled yuppie hooligans, and the BBC gave them one. And so it changed. Out went the tech-manuals and oily hands and useful tips on ignition timing; in came the stunts and Jeremy Clarkson. The end. I love Fully Charged. I love it, but it's at the same stage Top Gear was before the format changed. By all means, explore the boundaries of EVs, but don't let track-thrills blur your expectations. Enjoy Nico's amazing abilities on his own Channel (and yep, it's terrific!), but please don't lose sight of where Fully Charged needs to go if we're to have a sensible, Clarkson-light future.
