Yup the whole idea behind the Chaos language is what human speech could potentially sound like 10000 years from now, when Automata takes place.

@@smward87 it wasn't when automata took place because even in nier it's chaos language the singer herself said it's what she imagines language in the real world might sound like thousands of years from now as if it's drifted away over time. Check the PlayStation blog on nier replicant they talk about it.

Funniness aside, Nier Automata switches up the gameplay genre quite frequently at times, so yes is a legitimate answer to the question.

@@Qazqi bullet hell, hack n slash, fighting game (that one mecha boss fight), platformer, and etc... Honestly the switch ups were never jarring but actually beneficial towards the game, I can only remember one time during the start where I managed to confuse myself

also, the boss attacks are timed to the song. it always does the first beam attack as the bass drops for example

@@JessesAuditorium Someone else wrote what I was going to reply to you with so I'll just agree with them on taking a look at Weight of the World haha Honestly, anything from any of the Nier games is wonderful and the live versions are their own treat. Regarding the multiple versions of songs though, they often are the same or similar songs but have entirely different feels because some follow a character's narrative arc over the game (Nier's Emil - karma and Emil - sacrifice, or Kainé's songs) and some are connected songs across both Nier games (Replicant & Gestalt, the originals) and Automata (Nier's Wretched Automatons and Automata's Wretched Weaponry, as well as Nier's Grandma and Automata's Grandma - Destruction, or Automata's Emil - Dispair). And this isn't even getting into the Nightmare & Arrange Tracks Nier Album, the Piano Nier album, and the Automata 8-bit tracks (or the Quiet, Medium, Dynamic, and Acapella versions in Automata). Point being, as much as I'd love it I don't expect you to go through every single song and version that is suggested--not to say comparison videos of different versions wouldn't interesting!--but even if we don't get a video from it these OSTs are 100% worth checking out on your own. Either way, keep up the good work! I've been watching a lot of your videos recently and really enjoy them!

This is honestly really important as it sets your ears for the song. It's a shame that even the recording from the official album doesn't have those intro notes.

The three note intro is honestly one of my favorite parts of either Nier game.

Atonement is the ONLY version of it that matters to me. It was used in the best way for the characters involved when it played. T_T still get feels every time I listen to it.

I dunno, SoA: Fate in Replicant 1.22 is absolutely amazing. It's not the same as in the original Nier and instead has this absolutely amazing strings segment.

Adding to this, I would also recommend Daredevil from the Persona 5 Strikers soundtrack, it's one of my favorites.

Just about any song from twewy slaps but my favorite is calling.

@@askechadd2473 dude it’s sick. You don’t have to play the og to understand the sequel but it does help as a lot of the impacts of like returning characters increases if you know who they are. Like I actually screamed in excitement at some points when an og character returned and I’m not typically the type to do that i was hyped

But overall, trust me. The NieR series is a GOLDMINE for music reaction videos. No seriously, it's too good for people to get burnt out on. If you're up for it, do em all 😂.

I think this was a trend in the PS2/3 era with JRPGs. Gust had a few games with made up languages, specifically the Ar Tonelico series.

But trust me, you ain't wasting our time no matter how you want to do this, you have great knowledge and expertise into the specifics of these songs that non-musicians like me really appreciate hearing, and its great to see your passion for song just when you listen.

Also as for music suggestions, I highly HIGHLY recommend checking out Shadowlord from Nier Replicant/Gestalt, which Automata is a sequel to.
