That lisle kit is probably the best one out there. I have the hose clamp tool and really like it. Good selection of tools in this one.

Good video mate. Watching tool videos is keeping me through the lock down here in the UK. And your right. The way techs have rallied round has been good. Few of us been called out to fix drs/nurses cars and the lads haven't thought twice about it. Makes me proud to say I work with them and work in the trade. Don think some techs get enough credit for what they do. Stay safe man 👍 keep the vids coming.

I have the 3/8 Gearwrench X-Core and I love that set! I want to pick up that 1/2 set now! I just got the 1/2 metric impact socket set Alsos from GW its shallow and deep for under 120$ now that was a great buy 9-30mm -25 -28 and -29 been beating the hell out of them work great. I have a bunch of GW stuff they make great tools! I am so Glad to still be working through this Scamdemic! Auto shop owners and employees are the unsung Heroes during this thing because the health care workers wouldn’t be getting from point A and B without us! Also JRC54 Justin Dow and CaptinRon are some of my very favorite Chanel’s they are good dudes! As well as Rustbelt! I always miss the damn live steams! Be well good video

There is a revised tool set from lisle or that includes a tool if the top porcelain piece breaks. There's been three revisions on that tool, you can tell which one you have by looking at the main threaded piece it will have up to three rings around it.

Good video. Step drills are great for sheet metal round holes and no grabbing or chattering. Donot work on fords so almost never have spark plug problems. Want to see the video in universal impact sockets.

Those 2 button clamps are used on Volvo coolant lines a lot. First one I ever did I changed a transmission cooler, had to unthread the actual fittings to get it off because the clamp wouldn't come off with my fingers. Took me probably 6 hours to do. The next one my dad got the Mac pliers for those, they aren't the cable kind just regular pliers, I then did it in like 3 hours, then the next week I bought those same pliers off the Mac truck, probably the best thing i've bought from him so far.

@@RustbeltMechanic and now that I'm getting into derbying dodge chargers and Chrysler 300s, we're getting the ones with the p.o.s 2.5 or 2.7 something like that, getting them dirt cheap, some tools might cross over from working on semis to building these chargers.

The matco usa made pinless swivel impacts are much better and shorter in 3/8 size range aswell how do I know I have both gearwrench xcore and matco usa versions and the gearwrench moosh and start to bind over time where the Marcos don't deform as much or as quick

I thought the whole point of step bits was that exact size didn't matter...why does sae vs metric matter?
@RustbeltMechanic
@RustbeltMechanic 4 года назад
I use mine for exact sizes. It’s mostly for the point of having all the different sized bits in the drill without having to change bits out all the time.

Thanks for sharing!!! The MATCO pliers are actually Lisle 35070. Save more coin by buying the Lisle version. I hate to say it but the Gearwrench X Core impact swivel impact sockets are a poor copy of MATCO's pinless design. The X portion tends to peen with heavy use and they're taller than MATCOs. I've had good luck with ASTRO's pinless set that runs 12-19, 21, 22, & 24mm an 11 piece set that runs about $90 on Amazon. Hopefully, you'll include the ASTRO set in your upcoming test videos. Stay healthy!!

@RustbeltMechanic 4 года назад
Good call on the lisle pliers!! Which Matco set, they have two different designs? I’ll have to look at the Astro as well, I was also looking into the Capri tools set

@@RustbeltMechanic The best MATCO 1/2 drive metric impact swivel set is SCUPM106RB, It's very expensive though but, is pinless. Their ADV line is more like SUNEX. Don't forget to do a DECARB before removing the Ford plugs, LOL

A lot of folks on Amazon reviews were saying the astro pinless 17mm measures out to 16 mm have you found that top be the case?

Lifetime warranty on the handles but I’m sure not that cable that will eventually stretch out & break?🤔

Get some mtn bike brake cable to replace it. Bike shops will even replace the stop and measure it for you.

It’s a good thing that ford no longer sells two piece plugs I work on piles of 5.4s I’m a self proclaimed guru of the 5.4 I’ve never broken one ever. Also shouldn’t use the motor craft plugs anyway they end up being duds soon after they get changed. 1 by 1, E3s are the answer. They’re all 1 piece designs now but still E3s are cheap and last
@RustbeltMechanic
@RustbeltMechanic 4 года назад
I actually like using the champion one piece spark plugs to make sure they never come apart again.
@DDescalchuk57
@DDescalchuk57 4 года назад
Rustbelt Mechanic yea they’re good in Canada here there expensive tho 25$ a plug where the E3s are 17 for 2. I run autolite high threads right now 110$ my cost for the 8
@DDescalchuk57
@DDescalchuk57 4 года назад
Rustbelt Mechanic the new updated ford plugs are one piece too they stopped making them 2 piece after 08
@DDescalchuk57
@DDescalchuk57 4 года назад
Rustbelt Mechanic that just shows you how bad people are at takin care of their vehicles. To still be seeing 2 piece. The 5.4 wasn’t a bad motor it’s lazy people who don’t take care of them that made the truly bad name you have to be responsible and actually take care of them proper full synthetic oil changes at proper intervals change the plugs once a year etc. Plugs are cheap just change the Damn things plus they’re easier to change then a push rod motor everything is on top super easy access
