Nigella Lawson's Victoria Sponge 

I made this cake for our 5th wedding celebration. Just like when we got married, our anniversary celebration was simple, intimate, and full of love!❤️❤️
INGREDIENTS:
For the cake
• 225 grams very soft unsalted butter
• 225 grams plus another 1-2 teaspoons caster sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 200 grams plain flour
• 25 grams cornstarch
• 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
• a pinch of fine salt
• 4 large eggs, room temperature
• 2-3 tablespoons milk, room temperature
For the filling (what I used on my cake)
• strawberry jam
• 200 millilitres heavy cream
• 150 grams fresh strawberries
• 50 grams fresh blueberries
