I made the decision to patronize mostly locally-made products. From clothes to shoes as long as it has good craftsmanship and is well branded. I don't consider it flex to wear foreign brands but rather a personal preference, not a status symbol. The more we buy locally, the better the economy gets. If a shoe has "Made in Aba, Nigeria" or "Made in Kano, Nigeria", it gets priority for my money.
Brother I can only pray that God continues to bless you. It's people like you that we will look back on as those who changed the narrative of this country. Let's take pride in our local industry.
These men skills is what wise leaders of other countries are looking for, but in Abia state the useless governor cant realize how precious these men skills are . A wise governor would have create an world standard industrial cluster with convenience services for these shoe makers to carry out their trade which in turn create jobs and increase IGR.
Please you all should get your pvc and vote for Mr Obi. He’s the only one with detail plan to promote the industrious potential of Nigerians. Can you imagine what Aba producers can do with just a little support from the government? They have been thriving despite all odds. God bless these hardworking people. Am a sister from Edo state.
Igbo's are very hard-working and determine just like other Nigerian.......all we need is a good leadership that will give little SUPPORT and u will see progress
Yes! This is true craftsmanship! When I was in Ghana I brought some sandles which lasted me for over a decade! Top quality compared to the ones we buy in the States made in China which don't last! Africa produces top quality n thanks for sharing this info!
Ututu oma from Mexico. We have here in the country the city of León in Guanajuato state, the capital of shoes and genuine leather products production. I'm happy to watch this cute video. May Chineke bless igbos and shoes industry.
Wow the craftsmanship was remarkable! The gold sandals you were holding were my favorite.😆😆 The absence of machines here allows thousands of workers to have jobs. Many things would have to be considered as far as employment if they were to bring machines in. I suppose this would be where that "business model" you mentioned prior would benefit the people .
Great production center!!! Weldon !! Have been seeing this new design everywhere I never knew this was where it was produced!!! Nigeria got talents! Thank for this video
Don’t mind Nigeria government all them knows how to do it perfectly is borrowing but their can’t put head together to know how to make things to work which if things start working it have started working for everyone
My city my father makes ladies handbag and I also did when I was going to his shop from there I learned and when I went to university I was making them and was selling to students and lecturers that's how I made money in training myself also in school after graduation I started working with Hello products limited but my father is still making female handbags there in bakasssi market
The Nigerian government is actually patronizing Aba for most of its military boots now. Did you know that? Also the govt built a solar powered electricity generator for Aba market so now they have 24 hrs power. Do you also know that Innoson motors makes armoured tanks for the Nigerian army?? Pls do research before speaking online.
@@kejioshin Which solar powered electricity generator? Please don't misinform people. The power plant is called Geometric Power Limited. It's not built by the government. It's gradually taking over from the present power company in Aba and will come on board fully before the end of 2023
@@emmabk344 you're wrong bro the federal government actually built a power plant at fualks Rd before ukwu mango the problem we have in South East is our politicians who has sold us for ntn and Abia state my state has the worst governors in the world
@@petercleveronyenso5183 ok bro. Which year was it built? I don't know about this power plant built by federal government at Faulks Rd Aba by ukwu mango and there is absolutely no information about that power plant on the internet. That's all I can say about your claim.
Igbo are very talented people . I am happy you made the video for the world to see thank .Can you provide me the vendors number as it disappear half way through the video . We need to support these people . I'm waiting your reply. Thanks
Look at the pride and passion the featured Aba shoemakers show even under difficult working condition!! If only they would TOTALLY and PROUDLY commit to stamping Made In Nigeria on all their products. Every Nigeria watching this video should forward it to Walmart, Target, and other major stores outside Nigeria, as I have done.
The day Nigerians start taking pride in its products. And government start promoting then and establishing Microeconomics policies that supports these products and businesses, then this issues of fake labelling will be a thing of the past.
Thank you Uzoma. Kindly share the video, let's help promote the businesses of our People. Turn up notification for more episode and do check out the Eastern tour playlist
Why did you cut him off every time he tried to give his contact information? you've replaced his contact info with your own contact information. You should watch how Wode Maya promotes the people he films, rather than just your self promotion. Great inforative film though, I just felt you took advantage of these people's time, and re-directed their contact to make you the middle-man. This shines a bad light upon your reputation, and credibility. Do better.
Why would you cut off his number? This is not the first time I've seen you do this in your video. Wode Maya wouldn't do such. Where is the artisan number?
The places are so dirty and uncomfortable. Just imagine if the workplaces were better designed to make the workers comfortable - their productivity would increase. What we need to do is develop our leather industry. As it is our leather is processed in Italy and then reimported to the country for us to manufacture with
If we can forget these deceiving politicians, believe and work together as one people irrespective of tribal and religion differences, no country can stop us. We have it all. ❤
Last I checked, I don't see them begging you to purchase their products, Nigerians have been using 85% aba made things since the establishment of aba market! So you patronize or u no patronize can't bring myself them down a bit! Nothing u say can stop them from putting smile in the face of Nigerians
Lol u bought low quality for 500# or 1000# if u want high quality go for 3500#- 6k to 10k all been process by mechine all my shoe when I was in Aba are from 3500 to 4k are it last, just say u have one shoe and u wear it every day so why will it not spoil
