😂😂😂 I was thinking it was my internet buffering I was doing stop and play. It was like watching tennis match he is moving left and right like mother f*****
As a Nigerian....I thought that was the funniest thing eat I've heard this week. That accent was talent. If you are mad at this then don't make another joke about anyone else's accent, because it's obvious you can't take a joke. The part with the flowery shirts in the winter., had me rolling in laughter!!!
@It's Still BumbleBee "them" ...! And no they're not found. Nigerians are not animals in the wild. You can MEETZ Nigerians. Nigerians can BE there. But Nigerians cannot be found because they're not in a nature documentary. It's careless colonialist language.
I'm Nigeria/Italian and i always make fun of my own African culture, in my family where allways joking around like that, and hearing other people do it gives me stitches because its soo funny!
Do you make fun of italians too or do the white people in your family only like laughing at black people? I'm mixed too. You need to wake up son. Respect your African family. Italians wouldn't allow it the other way round. Of course you do it without thinking.. but you should think...
I've watched this video of Omid 1000 times but it still makes me laugh. His "This is not variety to me, bring me the King Carlos or something" is the funniest joke I've heard in years.
Apart from having the same roots as him I mostly like his performances because he never uses sexual terms or refers to sexual matters to cause laughter. He finds the comic side of all our lives which we never thought about. He is indeed a comedian. A good one and an actor too.
Guy is so funny The Nigerian part was the funniest of all for me even though I'm Nigerian. It sort of shows how funny white people think Nigerians are in terms of how they speak their own English. I guess Nigerian accent is funny to white people.
Lol! Nigerian accent or not, the guy is funny! Lol! I am Nigerian... But I don't mind , kno why? He's made his point- to make people laugh...Hahahaha! Guess if he had said the accent is from one of the African countries, Nigerians wouldn't have been offended..."Ghanariah?"... Ha ha ha ha!....
@Chidera: With all due respect, this video was found by me sometime in 2009. There are many people out there on the internet who make fun of each other just by offending their feelings. Russell Peters for example, being of Indian origin, makes fun of Indians. I believe that we have to take it just as a way of fun and not get offended by them. We know what we are and nobody can change us. Why not laugh at the guy who makes fun of us instead of getting offended? I believe that's a better choice.
I'm a Nigerian, I love comedy and I love anything fun, even if he doesn't sound like Nigerian or yes, he doesn't mean any harm or anything hash/violent, he was trying to be funny and keeping the audience laughing, comedy is about making fun of anything but without violent, peace
Have all you Africans that keep saying his accent doesnt sound right ever stopped to think that THIS is how you sound to non africans? Its comedy, get over yourselves, the guy is a comic genius..
+Tunde Aguda Dont mind him. That is how they do Nigerian accents in British movies and Nigeria has a whole lot of English accents depending on the geo-political zones. But he got the Nigerian joke right. Often smiling to your self"
many of us should have Know by now that, until you watch a clip From RU-vid,you would be wrong to judge a clip from its headings or title.I have seen many headings or titles that does not tally with what i watched.
As a Nigerian, born and raised. I was waiting to hear the "Nigerian accent" until the video ended. Please, where is it at? Or is there part 2 of this video?
lol Nigerians running away from their accents. Come on be truthful. At some points he sounded Nigerian, the trafgic warden part epecially. And to the Nigerians saying it sounded Ghanaian, are you kidding me? It's Nigerians that pronounce blood as blord, doctor as doct), Bus as Boss etc It's your accent, accept it in good faith. And it sounds great when your musicians sing with it. This is just comedy.
There is nothing like a Nigerian accent, for example a yoruba man's accent is different from that of an hausa man, when you hear an ibo man's accent you won't believe he is from same country with a Benin man, and whereas there are some people with very porch accent in Nigeria you can't even associate with any tribe unless they tell you where they are from, so in essence. Your accent in Nigeria depends on your tribe, city or even the kind of school you went to, so there is nothing like Nigerian accent and honestly I can't associate this man's accent with anyone from Nigeria, nice and hilarious joke by the way :)
The thing is you guys can tell that differences between yourselves but us outsiders who aren't familiar with those slightness differences cannot tell. It's like Americans who can tell Chicago accent from New York accent or New York accent from New Jersey accent but for us foreigners we can not here the slightness in their accents. So don't get hurt when none Nigerians combining your accents regardless of your tribes. I think the guy did good job on this. If he would said it's African Accent then there would be a problem.
+John Lunyamila If He had said West African accent then in a generic sense it would have been acceptable but he specifically said Nigerian. While there are different english accents in Nigeria, most people can speak Nigerian Pidgin English, add that to their native language and you get what would be acceptable as a generic Nigerian accent. what he did is like someone claiming to do a Boston accent but ended up sounding nothing like how people in Boston really sound like and sounding more like a Jersey accent.
To non-Nigerian for instance to Kenyan like me, Nigerians got same accent, the guy was spot on, unless you can convince me that, may be Yoruba has produced the influential folks that have come in contact with non-Nigerians, either in Nigerian movies and business people that mingle with outside world....all Nigerians in Kenya speak so
+Dee Dee First of all what will you classify a Nigerian accent?... cos an Ibo man sure sounds different to a Yoruba man , an Opinion sounds different from a Kalabari man, a man from Benin sure doesn't sound like a Fulani man? so which one is the Nigerian accent? getting worked up over a irrelevant things... Be proud that you're culturally relevant enough to be used in a comedy show internationally... ease up abeg
I enjoyed it too... If you noticed.... I was saying he doesn't have to be right... He can't even be completely right... It's just comedy.... We're saying same thing
well if they want to make jokes about accent, I hope they can take a joke too because Nigerian comedian are very good at this. as a matter of fact this. is their area of specializations. am sure they cant. lol..
this guy with his nigerian accent..made me crack up. i'm african and he got the accent fairly right. his jokes in general cracked me. he's got gd material. i liked the part where he answered the doctors question with a question. that's what africans do in general.
