Cheers John for your comment, so you live up the road. well I think its one of the best stations in the country for freight trains. I only live 20 minutes away so I've been there more since Covid 19 took over the world.
Don't think I've seen a Water Orton video in the dark before Mike - I bet parking was much easier! Nice opening with the two Kettles(I got those crossing Harringworth Viaduct)and then plenty of Shed noise. Oh for HD video back in the 1990s here though!
Well as you know Darren I don't film much steam specials but because the 56/47 TnT was coming too I went and did some night filming, and the went and did a early morning there before catching a train to Lincoln. I did see your filming over that great viaduct. Cheers Mike.
Living in Sleaford now, I really miss my visits to Water Orton, I loved photting at the wall and having a pint of Guinness or 'Doom Bar' inbetween, lots to enjoy here in Sleaford and the surrounding area though, excellent crossings you don't have in Brum, I'll try to get back to WA this year if I'm allowed to, if you see an early fifties baldy guy say hi, I'll buy you a pint and a burger at 'The Dog'! 😊😉🍺🍔
If you do ever come over to WO in the future Daniel let me know and I will come and say hello. I was interested what you said about the them I believe foot crossing in the Sleaford area as you get a lot of freight trains down that line these days, so I will have to do some homework and come over in 2022.
Thank you very much Les for your kind words. Yeah I do like to travel about every week either by car or train, because I if I don't I feel life is passing me by and my mom kept going out most days till she was 90, so if I can follow her I will be well happy Les. You also take care Les and keep safe and well in 2022. Regards Mike.
Oh good Jamie, I don't film much steam, but saying that I have filming 3 or 4 in the second half of 2021. thanks for watching this video Jamie. HNY Mike.
Happy new year you you Ian. Thank you very much for watching and making a comment on certain videos during 2021. I would like to do some new locations if I can find them in 2022, so time will tell. Mike.
Well at WO Ben there is always something to film as you know, I must cut back in going there in 2022, but its not easy when its a nice sunny day and its on 20 mins away.
Great catch of the Steam engine action, what was the second train Mike? The one with those class47 Diesels, love those class 47s, look like some parcel train! Thanks for uploading this Night/day video!
