I think a lot of the time it means 'the graphics look about ten-to-fifteen years out of date because that's the best we can achieve with the budget/time/manpower/experience we have, so we're just going to use it as a selling point'.
So I wanted to make a joke, somehow involving Grendel's mom.. I couldn't remember her name.. which then led to a rabbit hole of this century long scholarly debate amongst the ultra elbow patched tryhards of historical literature.. in a discourse that has been going on since the 1920s back and forth as to a word used in her description that has a potential meaning in common usage outside of a direct translation potentially depending on which fork of the language you're talking about, all revolving around it as to whether or not she was a fugly troll lady.. or supernatural sexy demon goddess.. books have been written.. many many books.. But turns out she doesn't have a name.. so my joke doesn't work.. gosh darn it.. another example of academia throwing an endless amount of effort and resources into the tiniest of things that.. actually technically by its very debate is nonsensical in a wider context, as it's the wider context that is providing the ammunition for the debate.. when you could have been trying to figure out the name of the lady, so I could make my stupid joke.. asshats!

I love the channel but it always bugs me when a relatively large creator doesn't pay for a game even it's a demo. I mean, he's going to make a good chunk of change off of making fun of.this game.
