Dev here (one of several): Thanks for playing our game! Glad to hear you enjoyed it! More content is in the works! Sadly, it won't involve Sigurd or Bionicles but maybe modders will come in clutch.
I have no idea what the finished game is going to look like, but it's off to a great start. The only real complaint I have is the number of times I've lost runs to physics, be it a chest that decides to send me to the shadow realm, a dropped weapon cutting my leg off, or something else equally inexplicable. It's funny as all hell, but is a real downer when you're on a roll, only to get killed because you accidentally turn a corpse into a flying carpet and get yeeted into a candelabra.
He really went “If I’m going I’m taking you with me!”. That revenge adrenaline hits hard. You can actually see him standing up at 13:30 just as Oboe turns away
I played this demo for like 15 minutes and was so tense from clenching my entire body trying to swing the damn sword for some reason lol. Its absolutely hilarious though.
@@djinnxx7050 axes for war and for utility are different, war axes often times had blades almost as thin as swords, so less heavy and better for slashing, kinda like a sword but with a shorter blade with different balance. But ofc there would always be some random peasant bringing a wood cutting axe to battle sometimes. But the use of axes is sometimes overstated in warfare, prettymuch everyone used spears or some other kinds of long pole arm
@@nagh887 Yeah, I'm aware of the difference in the design of axes. But even a war axe can cut wood, not as efficiently as a purpose built axe but still good enough. You'd assume so if it cuts through flesh and bone, and even some shields with horrific ease. I wouldn't like to face one. And yeah, spears are god tier for the most part, a distant enemy can't touch you, it's one of the most cost effective weapons for an army, but they lose some effectiveness if your opponent is clad in chainmail and/or some variation of lamellar and you don't have the power of a horse behind it. What an axe lacks in piercing ability it makes up for in blunt force, it'll easily break an armoured limb if you can swing it right, and it's probably cheaper for a soldier buying his own gear and easier to carry with more uses, hence it being a popular choice for a raiding party. Alas, if your opponent has a spear, you have to figure out how to get past it and close enough to take a forceful swing, and if you're not wearing chainmail yourself you're in trouble. On the battlefield with two large opposing armies and their various tactics, polearms become god tier. At least until some fancy dressed fella turns up with a sword taller than him, and then you're going to be kept busy for awhile avoiding that whirlwind of death. It's all a game of rock paper scissors but with real bad consequences for the loser.
I've seen this game before, Oboe. Knowing the game, I give you props for the clever title. Only thing more visceral than the gore is the screaming. Lol
This would be a masterpiece if it had multiplayer and you could get tournaments going with your buddies, and you could watch from the bleachers when youre not fighting, and gamble on the winner
Let's just say that it isn't entirely unrealistic. It's reasonably plausible and even documented that a man can still be somewhat active, even to the point of being a threat, even when half of him is missing or he should otherwise be dead. Adrenaline is like a second chance, only not quite, a false hope i guess. The human body is both horrifically fragile and shockingly tough, a man can be permanently taken out by a single punch, no visible damage beyond what an autopsy will reveal (spinal chord damage for example), but another can survive having his legs blown off and his skull fractured. It's all about the vitals, that's why burst fire exists, if you don't hit any vitals you at least lower blood pressure to the point that those vitals start to take damage over time, the heart having to pump much harder and the brain essentially switching off various systems until sleep mode is the only option. Think of it like an rpg and it's less frightening I guess I've sadly seen a guy have his heart cut out and somehow, he was able to stare in horror at it, well, I assume an expression of horror but considering his face had been very recently flayed, it was kinda hard to tell. That guy went out in a horrific way but somehow took it like a champ. Wouldn't recommend.
you should have just used one weapon with both hands by clicking the right mouse button it had more weight behind hits rather than that flailing. the axe and scythe can easily kill and the scythe cuts people in half alot. only takes me one swing with most of the weapons to kill unarmored people but once they get full plate you might want to switch to a mace if you aim like this and flail about since you won't hit weakspots like this.
Please read the controls properly when this actually releases and you stream it :P Right hand is primary you lefty. Put large weapons in your right hand and click rmb to hold it with both hands. Much more effective than feeble lefty flailing
We're reasonably fine with it, for the most part, especially considering the fellas in this game are of the wrong melanin content for a serious stimulation of such extra curricular activities. How is the EU doing in that regard, you still letting those folk in en masse? I understand Sweden is rather delightful these days, certainly a marked improvement over the last 20 years, the addition of racial tension and racially motivated violence has really enhanced the vibrancy of Sweden and the quality of living. The same could be said of most EU countries, much better places today.
