Not a Panther mrs B thought it was funny. So she shared it. I had a chortle. It’s pretty weird watching someone watching your work. But good feedback I guess. Had the intended effect. Lol. :).
@@sebastianwagner7334 I believe it was an interview I heard, or perhaps one of his streams with Majorkill, but yeah he said he writes down all his opening skits himself, with plenty of inspiration from the books of course.
It wasn't Sanguinius that was there when the Emperor found Konrad, it was Ferrus and Fulgrim, with Dorn. Terror tactics are actually a viable tool in the formation and maintaining of an intergalactic Empire, but yeah... that is how he was designed for war. Konrad's true purpose was to become the Emperor's Judicator in the Imperium; judge, jury and (if needs be) executioner of the law. The problem is, Konrad was dumped on Nostromo knowing the law word for word, but nothing of morality or the spirit of the law. Nostromo truly broke Konrad, it set the stage for the birth of the Night Haunter, a part of his psyche he forever fought a losing battle against until he chose to use that identity as a shield to protect what little remained of his frail ego and psyche, spiralling further into madness and sadism up until his death.
@Old Man Reacts if you liked this one then check out his Dark Angels lore vid! Another great lore vid is his Alpha Legion vid. More very worthy mentions are his tank vids. Leman Russ Tank, Baneblade, and Hellhound in that order because it's a three part story.
Bit of a misnomer to say that the Night Lord's specialty as a Legion was simply torture, because that came later. Much like the Raven Guard, they were experts of stealth and guerilla warfare, but more than anything they were masters of psychological warfare. Compliance through fear of decimation was their raison d'etre, as their purpose was not to annihilate the enemy wholesale, but to visit upon them such devastation and horror that they would lose the will to fight. Only in the worst scenarios would the 8th Legion be called to completely destroy the enemy as only an Astartes Legion can, and only then would the gruesome spectacle be used to dissuade those still loyal from ever dissenting. Curze's arrival did not change this, but the influx of criminals and violent psychopaths from Nostrsmo did.
The way his eyes popped at the first words. Priceless. Edit: I have already seen Baldemort's video before watching this one. My anticipation for the laugh... you know the one I mean... the eager anticipation of the laugh I know is coming, but he doesn't... delicious. 😈 Edit 2: Ahhhh.... that reaction... such gratification. I think we can all agree that a certain shiny-topped Servoskull has got Mark Hamill levels of skill in crazy laughter, can't we? 😈 Edit 3: As with his reaction to String Storm's pretty marines video, I keep coming back to this video. I watched a dozen other YT-bers react, this guy's is the best.
Have you read the story when Curze made an effigy out of corpses and summoned the emperor and they had a small last talk, some time before he got assasinated ?
I can't remember what youtuber made it but they made a very compelling case for a loyalist Night Haunter that could have been and it was really good in my opinion.
Did Curze consider purging his Night Lords and rebuilding? Some of the other primarchs were allowed to get away with decimation after all. So would not be unprecedented to go ahead and kill them off bit by bit and replace them. I think for the Angel seeing and knowing the future was less of a problem because he believed in what he had to do. Sure it would be terrifying to know what was to come always, and even worse because of the universe they are in. Yet there is a certain amount of courage in accepting a terrible fate for yourself if it can help others even a little.
Just wanted to say that StringStorm put up his announcment video for the next round of his Idol competition. You're welcome. Edit: insert evil laugh here
Everyone on here congratulating him on his Night Lords “voice”. I find it to completely miss the mark. Night Lord madness is much less Renfield from Dracula and more Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs. Perhaps Lucoryphus from the Night Lords books would sound like this but he was not indicative of a Night Lord. There is no way that Curze, Talos, Malcharion, or Sevatar sounded like drooling maniacs.
