Night watchman circuit explained 

Cute, but... Cycling them in the other order would not work, as switch #3 must be off for lights 1 and 2 to get power. If #3 is turned on, neither #2 nor #1 can get any power. So the night watchman has to walk his rounds in the proper direction! Got a way to make it work in either direction?

Awesome explanation. I loved the exploded view with everything outside the wall. Doing hvac as myself, I love learning new electrical skills to add to the arsenal of knowledge.

That's cool. The closest I did to that was my garage lights. Had a 3 way set up to change from the standard bulb to the shop lights.

In what situation would you use this ? 1st time seeing this, and I really cant see how it can be useful as yet. Can somebody help me out on this one please.

I get the idea but is there a point to this? Or just messing around? I cant think of anything that you would use it for
