I remember when I used to work at Walmart. The Walmart I worked at was not a Supercenter so they would get what they call remix trucks which are basically all different kinds of groceries on pallets wrapped and I swear at least once a month we would have to restock pallets and rewrap them just to get them to be able to go to the floor so trust me I feel your pain

I remember back when I was a grocery store manager and got shipped 2 pallets of bacon beans they were only half wrapped as soon as the back door came open it was like a shower of cans

BTW Justin...... it would be a good idea in situations like this... if you didn't have a pallet jack... to have a very long chain/strap with hooks on either end... then they can use the machinery to pull the pallets to the tail of the trailer to unload.

Had that issue hauling gallon bottles of windshield washer fluid. I hated every time I was going to get it.

They line the dump bodies so it can get loaded with contaminated gravel or materials with asbestos etc

They should have put air bags between those stacks. whenever I worked for a grocery warehouse some would come in the same way. 🤦🏽

On a straight 6, bank 1 is usually cylinders 1-3 and bank 2 is cylinders 4-6. At least that's how it is in the gas engine side of things.

those plastic bags are for contaminated dirt... they have to seal the dirt to prevent it from contaminating the roads or other areas.

I think bank 1 is cylinders 1-3 and bank 2 is cylinders 4-6 on the ISX. If I remember right it’s an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes to supply fuel or cut off based on engine setup parameters (governor, speed, etc). There are also timing actuators that look almost exactly the same, but they are different so make sure you get the right part numbers.

recomend looking into zachlifts they are 5th wheel attachments that turn your heavy rig into wrecker but can be taken off in 15 minutes for normal day-cab activities

It would seem to have made more sense when they loaded you to put the pallet that was already compromised on top and not the bottom with a pallet stacked on top of it. Probably hauling some kind of contaminated dirt, hence the bags lining the dump trucks and the guys wearing the tyvek suits and respirators.

Looks like a lot of those pallets shifted. More than likely they're rolls of plastic bags inside boxes so they shift easily. Yes, I've hauled them before. A lot of those places are union people and they don't want you handling anything. I'm sure they've seen it all before

What companies would you recommend I go to? I am a new CDL holder, but I am afraid of heights. I would like to be home on the weekends, however it is not required. I have a company lined up, but they require 3 years of experience before they even look at your application.

I love learning what goes into trucking, but it definitely isn't a smooth operation from what I've seen. From brokers, to shippers, to receivers...it all needs be overhauled to save time, money and mental health. Good luck with your loads.

Not true about Spot bro,I pull alot of freight for them and they've never asked for an inspection. The only thing they've ever asked me for is a picture of my trailer to make sure it was food grade. I agree with TQL tho..screw them!

It was not secured properly. The straps don't help if they aren't even touching the freight! Plus extra straps hanging on the wall. Legally, the pallets have to be secured and supported on at least 3 sides. It never should have left the shipper loaded like that. The driver should have had the shipper push the pallets together so they were touching, with no gaps between, then use the legally required minimum of two straps to secure them and prevent any shifting.

Dam that suck's. We hate it when that happens. We always secure the load properly and allot of times the shipper wants to secure the load. And they hardly do a dam job securing the load. Me and Jesse had a repo to do. And we finally was able to get the vehicle repossessed from the person who failed to pay the vehicle payments. We was able to get in the vehicle and then get out of the area. Jesse checked for tracking devices and none was found. We have a device that can track them. The dealership was very very happy seeing the SUV delivered at the location. We exchanged the keys for the cash payment. We hardly ever do repo runs but the cash offer was $$$$$. Jesse said that u should secure the load the way u do. We have rejected loads when the shipper says don't secure it's not going anywhere. We are going to take a shower then let the dog's out then back in then 💤💤💤 the kid's are outta here for the weekend. Nana's is at my oldest daughters house babysitting. So it's just me and Jesse and the cat's and dog's and parrot's. WTH Instagram just stopped working. Jesse said he can't access it and neither can I. Ugh hate it when that happens.

Good friends with a guy that has 5 rotators and I’ll tell you you don’t ever want them at your crash scene. They charge $50,000 for them rotator to touch your truck and $9,500 an hour that they’re on scene.
