I like all singers of Nightwish. Of cause they all sound different but no one is better than the other one. They all have different but beautiful voices.
It’s very hard to sing that song with full voice and Anette did it excellently! Tarja was singing it with her opera voice, but believe me 🙏🏻singers will understand me that this kind of singing is much more difficult. Respect to Anette, she really did amazing and hard job!
I think, personally, that Anette was the most adorable of the Nightwish singers. The way she was like “Emppu!” when it was Emppu’s solo time was actually so cute ahishdkahshshhd

Acho os discos com a Anette as grandes obras-primas da banda, ótima cantora e com uma voz encantadora. Ela foi perfeita enquanto a banda precisava, para aquele momento. Mas cantando as músicas da Tarja, realmente, a discrepância da qualidade vocal é evidente. Não acho que seja questão de gosto enquanto se escuta ela cantando as músicas da Tarja. Está um patamar abaixo no que se refere a essas músicas.
Say whatever you want, but this version of Nemo is actually really good. I liked it. Of course Annette's version of Nemo is different than Tarja's - different voices, different manner of singing, that's right, but the way Annette sang it - the song was so full of emotion it got into my heart. Really touching.
While Tarja is a technically really good singer, she's not always in contact with her emotions while singing. It showed when she was singing Nemo. Anette brings a lot of emotion and vulnerability into the song, and that's why it touches us in a different way.
Annette had such a awesome high range that really game certain songs a beautiful tone to it and this is one of them, Escapest is the other. I got the pleasure to see her live twice and I always hated how much the fans tore her apart because she was after Tarja just remember it was the band that picked her not the other way around.
According to RU-vid videos of singers vocal rangers, Anette has the widest range of Nightwish female singers. Practically they are all identical: Anette gets a note lower than Floor, Floor gets a note lower than Tarja, Tarja gets a note higher than Floor and Anette. But singers seldom visit their lowest and highest notes. So they are in practice identical. It's a non-issue between them.

This version of nemo is really catchy so I like it, though sometimes it seems she's trying too hard to reach a higher tone that it seems almost like she hoarse... If you get what I mean... Sorry my english is not as good as I'd like it to be and often what I would like to say is not so understandable... All considered I still think she's an amazing singer

Even though the song is a bit above her normal range, Annette managed to give her unique flavor to the song. I love her as much as I love Tarja and Floor!!! ♥
Nightwish con 3 vocalistas muy buenas pero diferentes en su estilo, aunque tarja y floor son mas similares. Pero anette canta hermoso solo que es otro estilo eso es lo que muchos no entienden y critican a anette.
Anette es una persona muy dulce, al igual que su voz. Viendo toda la entrega que tenía en cada show no logro entender como puede haber gente que la vapuleara. Es una tremenda artista.

Anette most certainly is not my favourite Nightwish vocalist (she's actually my least favourite, but I still love her), but when it comes between her and Tarja, there is only one Tarja-era song that Anette sings better than Tarja (in my opinion). This is that song. Fuck, I love Anette's voice on this one. The way she changes the last chorus is different, but so beautiful.
This is actually a better performance I've seen of Annette singing this. She dosen't hold a candle to Tarja, or even Floor but definitely did her best and that's all I can ask for
I wouldn't say it like that. The clarity and lightness of her voice is unique and expecting every metal singer to have classical training just because Tarja has it is absurd.
well..this song was really written for Tarjas voice, for me her version is just sooo special...Floor comes close but Anette doesnt come even close to me she sounds like she is trying soo hard that she is almost screaming , but that is very difficult song as wel and Tarjas shoes were almost impossible to fill
I said on another video that Anette's version of Nemo is the worst out of hers, Tarja's and Floor's. That's mostly because someone has to be third. She's not really "the worst" as much as "the least best". There's still more I like about her rendition than I dislike. Besides, she was the perfect singer for Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum.
In my opinion there are some songs that belong toTarja like Nemo,Sleeping Sun, Walking on air and I wish I had an Angel and some that belong to Floor like Ghost love score,Storytime and Elan but I have to admit that I prefer Floor singing even Anettes songs....not that Anette is a bad singer...actually she is better singer thanmost singers nowadays but she is just not as good as Floor or Tarja and she also doesnt have the magical stage presence Tarja and Floor both have
Yep they were so bad to her, taking a no name singer and making her the lead in one of the most popular bands on the planet, asking her to sing their back catalog without butchering it or having to play some neutered acoustic version. Yeah, terrible.

Tarja had a distinct style in this band; Anette had another distinct style, but just because you trolls didn't/don't like it doesn't mean that it loses its merit. Nightwish has always been about experimentation and growth... it isn't a band that repeats the same formula for morons (its core fanbase is so, so chockful of fools). If you all truly understood the journey that Tuomas paints with each and every album, Anette would've never received backlash. The journey is his ability to create something fresh, and just like Tarja's soprano coo before her, Anette offers up a wonderful blend of soft rock and musical theatre... this is music for the gods!!!
Anette was pregnant. And yes she had also personal stress, if I recall right, she had custody fight over her son with her 1st husband in 2012. I think Anette sings great version of Nemo here. Tarja is my fav Nightwish singer but I always loved Anette too. Many of my fav Nightwish songs are by her. Following her now in THE DARK ELEMENT, her new band.
The description says this is Wacken 2013, but that isn't the case unless the festival is held twice a year. This rendition of Anette singing it isn't good. Anette lost custody of a child and while performing the Poet and the Pendulum burst into tears and ran off stage. It was gradual, but by 2012 it was very pronounced. One only has to watch videos year by year to see it. Anette was fired before 2013, so Wacken almost certainly had to be Floor in 2013. It didn't help that Anette's Swedish accent was so pronounced. Even Tarja's earliest Finnish accent wasn't quite that bad. Admittedly, Swedish and Finnish are light years apart. Listening to Anette these days (even live) with the Dark Element her accent is less, her pop sound is less, and she sings much better. She also looks healthy. I wasn't a fan of hers in Nightwish. I agree with most who say that she was not a good fit.

All three ladies that have been with Nightwish have stunning voices! All different and unique. And I have my favorite songs from all three. However, to me this was not a good song for Anette to sing. In my opinion, she sounds like she is struggling through it even with the changes made for her. Nevertheless, she is an incredible singer, but I never felt Nightwish was right for her. I've enjoyed her in her solo career more.
Nightwish band members think it fits very well. When they composed Dark Passion Play- album's songs, they didn't yet know who would be the new vocalist. Over 2000 girls applied for the singer job, for almost 2 years they compared, they had the best singers brought to Finland and test DPP songs. They took a vote, and Tuomas said everyone voted for Anette. This also Tuomas said: "I’ve said this many times. When I listen to Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum, I don’t think there is another person who could have sung those songs better than her. I really, honestly think so, and the rest of the band does, as well." DPP and Imaginaerum both got very good reception from professional critics, you can see it in Wikipedia page of these albums. DPP sold second most globally (after Tarja's "Once) and in Finland it sold 5 x platinum by 2010, being the most selling metal album in the country ever, it is the only NW-album that sold platinums outside Finland (Germany and Hungary). Imaginaerum is the 3rd most selling NW-album. Anette was very good for Nightwish.
He escuchado "Nemo" por las 3 y la verdad, si bien amo a Floor, ninguna la canta como Tarja. Así como hay temas escritos específicamente para la voz de cada intérprete, éste no le queda bien a Anette.
Floor suits Nightwish the best overall. But Nemo, Over The Hills And Far Away, I Wish I Had An Angel and The Phantom of The Opera are Tarja's songs and they're invincible to Floor and Anette.
I like Anette’s version better than Floors too. Even if here her voice strains and is flat at times she could obviously do a solid job on the song. Floor sings in a way that doesn’t fit the song at all. This is different from Tarja. yet still works for the sonf
My least favorite singer of NW....thank God people seem to like it and even get emotional hearing her. I find it very painful to listen to. Saw her live once with NW...and never again. Saw them with Floor, what a difference and what an energy. I am happy for you guys she is bringing out solo albums, but she did not belong in NW. No clue what they were thinking when they hired her.

I think Anette brought a different style to nightwish, that made us apreciate Floor more, as if it was Floor directly after Traja. And I really like her jodeling in "bye bye beautiful" for example, and think that her interpratatation of the songs in dark passion play is the best. But when she tries to perfom Traja songs, it is simply horrible, especially live. I saw her at WOA, and it was garbage. To me Anette is the weak link. Traja paved the ground and I respect her for that, and she is a really ggod singer, just not very exciting. If you heared one song with Tarjy, you heared them besically all. Floor is the multi-talent that Tuomases kind of music needs, she gives them different colors and meanings by the way she sings every passage. She is the best!
She's not even staying in tune! She's good in the studio where they can fix her voice. She has 0 charisma! That said, her solo career is great sounding! All I can say is Thang God for Floor!
Tadinha! A mina tá sofrendo pra alcançar as notas, ainda mais quando a música faz a modulação, aí que fica mais difícil ainda... Cantar bem é imprescindível, a interpretação e emoção vem depois! Quando um cantor tá sofrendo pra cantar, a única coisa que dá é agonia. Agonia de pensar que cantar desse jeito pode arruinar as cordas vocais de maneira irreversível.
Nightwish war einmal.....Tarja kann NIEMAND ersetzen. Anette war eine aussichstreiche Nachfolgerin, aber die ist selbst ausgestiegen und diese momentane, gepiercte und tätowierte, Putte hat noch nicht mal annähernd das Zeug eine Anette oder wohl gar eine Tarja zu ersetzen. Schade um eine richtig geniale Metalband, die sich selbst zerfleischt hat......
