I was at this show, in the second row. It’ll always be one of my favourite gigs I’ve ever been to, and since this is one of my favourite songs from the more recent era, I was thrilled they opened with it.

One of their great show opening songs. Yeah, you pretty much got it, the 'Beautiful' refers to the beauty of the Earth itself, and all it has to offer. First track on the 2015 Endless Forms Most Beautiful album. It features the first keyboard/guitar duel in about 15 years at that time.

Hi Ray, greetings from UK In the song after this one "Yours Is An Empty Hope" you would hear Floor GROWL! 😁 She also sings like a siren! The song for me which shows Floor's lower range best is "Song Of Myself" from Wacken 2013

Shudder before the Beautiful is referring to the amazement and wonder we (The Travelers) should all feel regarding the natural world. It is all around us including the solar system and universe, which we are all a part of while traveling amongst the stars on this small spec of blue. I agree with you. The vocals should be slightly louder in the mix from this show. The bass is just a bit to loud with dampens the overall sound a little. This was from the Nightwish 2015 record, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". many of the songs from this record revolve around a theme of wonder and appreciation for the natural world all around us. As you probably know from other comments, Nightwish members are very much nature lovers and ponder deeply about the universe, how it works, and our place within its grand workings. NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/yreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘

Nightwish - Making of new album 2015, episode 7 (a short 5 minutes video) Floor telling how Tuomas (and Marko to some extent) challenged her vocals, including her lower register. This was the 1st Nightwish album written for Floor to sing.

One of the 4 great openers, I love this partly because she starts in my favourite part of her range, that beautiful velvet lower register, that she says she is least comfortable in. The opening also of what I call to myself "the Evolution album" which tells you what the song is about. Spoken opening from Richard Dawkins of course whose work inspired Tuomas to write the album. Wembley is about 12,500 and Nightwish sells it out every time. My second favourite show, this one was, according to Marco, his biggest - not because of the audience size (far smaller than Wacken) but because the venue is iconic.

Most of the songs that you heard before were originally written when Tarja was in the band and when Floor sung them she had to sing in a higher key. Shudder Before The Beautiful was from the Endless Forms Most Beautiful album written when Floor was in the band and in a key that suits her voice. I agree with you that it’s nice to hear the warm tone of her voice in this number.

Love your style! Little remark: when you talk during the song, the sound of the clip is going down... You can switch that off? The "Shudder before the Beautiful" line features in a poem by Roy Fuller, which states "even scientists shudder before the beautiful" (The voice ar the beginning is Richard Dawkins') "We are the Voyagers" is referring to the fact that we are sitting on this planet (A pilgrim shining bright) that is speeding through the endless space.

Floor usually/always has an upward-directed floorfan in front of her. In the 2018 Vancouver concert I was right up front and close enough to touch it. Maybe it's for the look. But I suspect it's because of the heat. Floor is physically very active, which creates heat. In the bigger shows pyros are used, and that stuff is hot!

this song is a masterpiece in every sense of the word and the album this is from is holy smokes what a powerful and dynamic and energetic as well how do you not feel anything listening to this no one quite makes heavy metal with all the symphonic elements the way they do if you want to know what its about you can read the lyrics but she enunciates pretty well for me i don't have any trouble understanding her that energy when she says and a very good evening to you wembley we want to hear you what

One of the best Nightwish albums and (unfortunately) their last good piece of music. I'm kinda sad that their time is over, since it was one of the first metal bands I discorvered. Plus, and I hate to say this, but I've seen Nightwish live twice and they really suck as a live band :(

Ich denke, mit dieser Meinung stehen Sie ziemlich alleine da. Nightwish ist eine der besten Live-Bands überhaupt, besser als bei den Studioaufnahmen. Und Human : Nature ist ebenfalls ein großartiges Album. Aber wie heißt es so schön: Über Geschmack soll man nicht streiten.

When did you see them and what exactly sucked? Was the playing sloppy? Vocals off-key? Sound poorly mixed or just bad? Low energy and no crowd interaction? These are genuine questions; I’m curious.
