"Why would anyone sign up for Nijisanji despite all the drama?" It's actually really simple. Any publicity is better than zero publicity. Every other day, a vtuber graduates because practically no one watches their material despite how much effort they put into it. There is not a single EN Liver who was better off before Nijisanji than now despite all the drama that has happened. That being stated, they said they would do another wave, it's not really all that surprising.

I feel bad for the person who's gonna have to read through all of these to filter out the joke ones/the ones that completely shit on nijisanji

Nah I am so mad about this. For every past audition ( and I was already thinking of trying my luck for iluna ) I was not yet in a place in life where I could have actually provided consistent high quality content. So I spend months improving and listening to every liver's advise. Figuring out what exactly would have made my content unique etc. And since the beginning of this year, I felt like I could finally say that I would have been ready. And then we all know what happened next... So now I am looking at the first ever audition that I could realistically apply for and make something out of it, yet not a single bone in my body is remotely happy about it. Coming from someone who's dream it was to join Nijisanji and who put a lot into making it come true - don't disrespect yourself like that by joining :/ I know I won't.

If I were a more spiteful person I'd apply, just so I could record every single interaction and leak every piece of paper they park in front of me.

I just feel bad for people who are unaware getting baited to this and gets Mysta and Selen level of debts for working….

Recently did a college presentation on Black Companies in Japan. Had a portion on idol groups and niji.

Gonna be honest I had NO idea wtf Nijisanji was until Rev and Legal Mindset covered them. Like Rev hipped me to Gawr Gura and another to KSON. I found IronMouse too. Like seriously no one I had heard of was on Nijisanji at ALL.

I would love for someone to actually join and give us more insider info on this sinking shipwreck.

Even if we ignore all the Dokibird stuff, all the Uki racism, all the management BS, etc., that leaked contract alone should be plenty enough reason to avoid this company like the plague.

When I very randomly stream and get that stray who somehow found my stream and chats something, it makes me very happy lol when most of the stream Im just chatting by myself xd

Considering the last wave almost 6 months in is just barely managing to hit 100k, joining Nijien seems like a terrible choice. Not only is the fan momentum seemingly gone, but it probably will be close to a year before they debut, and if more top talents are graduating before, or close to their debuts, that's going to steal the momentum and talk away from them too. On top of that, people are going to be able to figure out that you joined Niji during all this controversy, showing you care about money and fame more than anything else, which is going to lead to harassment and ridicule. I just don't see the value in joining, especially when you have to take all the risk with your money before knowing if the branch will even remain open before your debut.

There are so many low-viewer vtubers out there that will sign up at a chance for financial success. The talent pool selection has certainly decreased, which gives the no-view andy a better opportunity of being selected. It's like outsourcing work to a 3rd world country: there's always people willing to do it for less.

I somehow can see some niji defenders sign up and a few months later get into some drama because of nijisanji themselves

The part with the sudden boost in viewership hit me a bit. I'm a mod to someone else's twitch and she has like on average 30 viewers, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, but it's around the 30 mark. I would usually be able to do the work a mod is able to do, but when I was close to sleeping (it was 3am at the time, was still in college and had to wake up long before 8am as at 8 I would start walking) she got raided by 3 big names, 2 official raids, and 1 unofficial. I saw she was like at 2k viewers at one point and only me looking I was hyperventilating to sleep any moment. I'm anti-social, I have severe social anxiety and severe depression and hyperventilating isn't helping me at all. I don't talk unless I'm talked to first or if it's a topic I have a deep interest, whether it be IRL or online. I need to be dragged around if I want to have things done. I'm a pupper on a leash, you tell me what to do and I'll do it, but otherwise I just mind my business and don't bother anyone and do my thing. I am a fine man until eyes are on me. I freeze in fear of being judged if too many eyes are one me. When I was still in college, I had to do a presentation and the entire class was brought forward, and it was my turn, I almost broke down in tears, I almost fainted from the amount of panic I was getting just from sensing all the eyes on me. Sorry about that rant. That specific part of the instant boost in viewers when being in a company just kind of hit me in a way even if it's derailing from the main subject at hand. I just had to point out that there will be people who can't handle that amount of pressure from so many people watching them that they'll panic and potentially hyperventilate to the point of fainting, in turn worrying the viewers and turning some of them off from watching any of your future streams post-debut.

Why would anyone…? I mean, it’s a pretty good boost If you just started and have less than 10k subs, you can get a deal for a year (or less if possible), get the boost and jump ship. You will get viewers and they will most likely follow you. Although it’s gonna be a rough year

You can only think how bad the en auditions are if they pulling this. Also how long has it been since there last en branch by nijisanji standards they would have been announced another wave by now. Also did the last people who applied for the auditions leave after all the drama.

Reminder for those who want to join them: Let's not overlook the fact that there are some livers who want to quit but can't do it easily. I don't know why, but they just end up being inactive instead of quitting. I'm assuming it's because of the contract; if they quit before the term, they will either face a penalty or won't get paid.

I should go audition for Niji. I work for the US Army. There is literally not one single human being in that company capable of bullying me. I, on the other hand, would be like a chihuahua with a nuke strapped to it's back that got shaken up a little bit in the hall and then tossed into the room.

Yep the advantages have always been known by anyone who actually follow vtubing. Some non-vtuber content creators love to talk shit about the agencies, but the advantage has always been massive to those who get in and manage to maintain and grow that initial audience. There's a reason some spend years trying.

You know it's funny because I just saw a video that showcased the 5th Ani of Akina Saegusa? But what's amazing is that they actually showed his model on the giant 3D cat billboard? I've never seen anything like that so I don't know how accessible or affordable trying to advertise on that is. We see something similar in Times Square, but it usually costs a lot 🤨🧐

Even I as an aspiring Vtuber, I'd just rather keep working on my model little by little, than to join an agency where I know I'll be treated like shit

I wouldn't be surprised if a large amount of people apply knowing they'll be mistreated but do so seeking the aftermath support a lot of ex members have received. For those who think this just remember these ex members gained that support through their own actions, and even if you gain attention from the drama, it'll slowly fade if you don't deserve it.
