Enjoyed the 37 until I ran over a construction brad and popped the zoom bag. Replaced them with a pair of Saucony ride13s and I dig them more than the 37. Comparison video?
Oops! Yes I'll definitely be getting the Ride 13, looks like a good day version of the shoe now Saucony finally dropped the ISOFIT! I love the bright yellow Mutant colourway as well 👍 Thanks for watching and getting in the comments 🙏
I have some good experience with the Pegasus and the fit works well for me (long narrow feet) and they last as long as other similar shoes. The 36 were firmer then the 37 which is something I enjoyed. Thanks for the review and keep them coming.
Thank you for the review -- very informative. I was actually about to order a customized pair and you scared me with that color. Do you recall the color you ordered? I am looking at the Laser Crimson online and it looks like more of a red which I prefer. I want to make sure that is not the color you ordered. Looking at the pallet I am guessing you ordered the Magic Ember.
No problem thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it 👍 You should be fine the Lazer crimson is a proper red 😊 Hope you shoes turn out OK, I'm sure they'll look better than mine 😂
Hi Lloyd. Like you I have never run in the Pegasus. I brought a pair based on this review. Love them, no heel slippage, really responsive and I have become a big fan. If I may ask a question, do you think, in your opinion, these would make a decent half marathon/marathon race shoe or should I look at something like the Zoom fly 3 (the Alpha fly and vapour fly I think are a little expensive). Thanks for the great videos on your channel really helpful and informative, used this channel for review when i brought my Speedgoat 4! Thanks again.
Hi Scott Glad you're enjoying your Pegasus! I think it would make a good half and marathon shoe 👍 I've done some quicker tempos and intervals in the Pegasus 37 and it's a pretty lively shoe when you up the pace! 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for supporting the channel 🙏 PS, I actually sold my Alphafly's after doing a 20 miler at marathon pace, they caused me all kinds of problems!!
I´ve had the Pegasus 34 and 35. Both great shoes but after 4-500 kilometres they feel kind of flat. Like a bike puncture. I´ve now completed 700 km of all kinds of running in Zoom Fly Flyknit and they still feel fresh. From the wear, I will say there are 100-150 km left in them.. These shoes are almost impossible to get hold on again unless you wanna spend 200 pounds or order them from USA which will add a significant amount of taxes.. I think I´ll try the Pegasus 37.
Hi Christian The new Pegasus 37 now has a full React compound midsole so it should hold up to mileage much better than the older models of the Pegasus 👍 I've had a few Nike shoes that use React and I've found it's a really durable compound. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
I did consider the customised pair. But with the mileage I'm running they'll be retired in 3-4 months. To me not worth the extra cost unless this is going to last at least a year.
Totally agree Emmanuel 👍 Like I said in the review I only did it to try to get the shoes early! 😕 Thanks for watching the channel, hope you enjoyed the review 🙏
I did indeed! Do you have any shoe recommendations for supinators? I’m primarily looking for both some fast road shoes, but also new trail runners. Would be fab to hear your thoughts 👍
@@loydpurvis8718 Hey, sorry for the delayed response! I've been using the Speedgoat 3 for trails, and Brooks Launch 6 for my other running. At the moment, most of my routes cover a weird mix of road and semi-trails, so pure-road shoes probably wouldn't work. I was eyeing up the new Torrent 2s...
Thanks Pushing the Limits! 👍 Really glad you enjoyed the review and it gave you some ideas. I'll go and check out your review, hope you're liking the Peg 37's 😊 Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Thanks Anders 😊 That's a tough call but I think I'd still go for the Kinvara 11. I think the Kinvara is just a little bit better at speed work, a bit more responsive 👍 They're both really good running shoes though and I'll definitely be using the Pegasus 37 for many miles to come 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏
It really surprised me how well it ran and the comfort level 👍 But like you say its so personal when it comes to our running shoe's 😊 Thanks for watching mate 🙏
Same here James 👍 I think a 6mm heel off set would be perfect 👌 To be fair to the Pegasus 37, it still ran way better than some 10mm off set shoes I've run in. Thanks for watching the review and supporting the channel 🙏
@@Run4Adventure Thanks for the reply. I know that Sidas make gel heel pads (which some runners use when adjusting to lower drop and 0 drop shoes, like those made by Altra). I wish a company would make forefoot pads, which would allow runners to even out the drop. Nike could supply different insoles (not as effective, as they would tend to flatten out over time).
What kind of paint tool have you applied on your pair? I have the same pink issue with my Adidas. I think of removing the paintwork but ... if it doesn't work...
I went with the white ones! My first run gave me issues, I made it 3 miles and swapped them out. They felt really firm but my second run was 12 miles and they felt good. I was surprised how heavy they were, my (go to trainers) Skechers GoRun Ride 7 weigh less and are half the price. :)
They're definitely not the lightest shoe Ryan! I'd like to see them 20 or 30 grams lighter to be honest 👍 I'm surprised you found them firm? I was surprised how bouncy they felt but obviously coming from a very light and soft Sketchers shoe I'm not surprised. Glad your second outing went better 😊 Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Run 4 Adventure great video as usual! Yeah I was surprised too but I looked at my notes and had similar concerns with my Peg Turbo 2 in the beginning. A few runs and I was in love. I think each run will be better with these 37s, less rubber on the outsole and they’d be on point!
@@i_run_far1132 Yep sometimes it takes a few runs to adjust 👍 I've run about 65 miles in mine and did a slightly quicker run a few days ago with Predicted marathon pace reps and the Peg 37 ran really well and felf pretty fast and responsive 😊 Thanks really glad you're enjoying the channel 🙏
That would be great but unfortunately the shoes aren't cheap and that lot would cost me a fortune!! 💰 To be honest I have run in the Sense Pro 4 and didn't get on with it and the Switchback 2 is definitely not a trail shoe for me! 😊 Thanks again 👍
@@RowOfMushyTiT Personally it was a bit to stripped back and firm in the midsole for my liking. It would run ok in muddy, boggy terrain but a lot of the stuff I run is quite hard trails like the coast path. It's a shame because I loved the original Salomon Sense Pro, it was one of the best Salomon shoes on my opinion. I had about 4 pairs 👌
Hi Anthony The pink colour looks a lot more red when you're on the Nike configuration 👍 To be fair it's not the greatest colour in real life 🤔 Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏
Yep coming soon Jason, I'll run the Pegasus Trail tomorrow and then I've hit 50 miles so I'll start filming the review 👍Thanks for watching and your support 🙏
Yes Definitely Nathalie 👍 The Speed is an awesome shoe but you can't run slow in it! It's a speed work, Tempo, race day shoe. I'd struggle to do slower recovery runs in the Speed 👍 Where as the Pegasus 37's are great for the slower stuff but it still runs well when you up the pace 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏
No Daniel, it felt good straight out the box 🤔 I didn't feel I had to break it in at all. It is a bit lower in the heel coller than what I'm use to so that took a couple of runs to get use to 👍 Out of interest what did you run in shoe wise before you got the Pegasus 37? Thanks for watching 🙏
@@danielpowerlifts9663 So there is quite a lot more shoe with the Pegasus 37 than what you're use to Daniel 🤔 More weight and more heel off set, maybe its that??
@@Run4Adventure Yeah both possible suspects. My Pegs do weigh a couple more ounces than I'm used to. I figured the 10mm wouldn't be too much of a difference as I had no issue with the Floatrides at 9mm. Is running in various heel drops recommended and will it mess up my natural gait cycle?
@@danielpowerlifts9663 I personally think it's a good thing to mix up your shoes it breaks up a bit of the repetition of running 👍 But if the Pegasus 37 continues to feel clunky then maybe it's not the shoe for you! 😞 How many miles have you run in the Peg?
@@Run4Adventure Thanks. I did not buy the 36 because the 35 rubber outsole i think was worn out so fast and it's very similar to the 36. The outsole now looks worst than the 34 which is a year older. The shoe is nice but I'm just not happy with the outsole rubber material. I think I will consider purchasing the 37 if I don't see any complains with the rubber outsole in next few weeks.
I did think about it but I couldn't be bothered to wait any longer, it had already been a month so I'll just keep them 👍 Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
I know John, it's terrible!! Who would ever chose to put that colour on their running shoe's? 😁 If the colour showed correctly I'm sure no one would chose it surely! Hope you enjoyed the review and you're fit and well 🙏
