Thanks Patrick I appreciate it! At the end of a marathon , legs definitely felt beat up (as they would in any shoe) but the pace was still there, which keeps the confidence high. One other thing I ve noticed is how quickly my body rebounds after high efforts.
Great. Mine is somewhere close to 150km, but it's still rolling smooth. Soundwise, only that annoying clicking that it has since day 1. I agree that for -50% is a buy, for sure. Fantastic shoe.
Day 1! Yikes . To me it just makes running seem so mechanical as opposed to natural. But yes agreed fantastic shoe. Load up those miles buddy. Have fun!
The squeak sound possibility is the air unit rubbing against the foam at the front when compressed. I rubbed just a tiny bit of vaseline on where it made contact and it solved it. Otherwise it might glue separation which causes internal rubbing somewhere.
@@yani.leigh. To bad, this is why I keep dead/retired Alphafly/Tempo Next air units around. With a hair dryer and shoe glue it is possible to replace a unit/tire lol. It's a hassle but with shoes like this, it's worth it imo.
hey this is kinda random and might sound dumb but so I just starting looking into the alphafly series and so I heard when nike first announced it.. the shoe had 3 layers of carbon plate flows but then was later banned from world athletics and later on announced a black and green colorway that had 1 carbon plate instead. My question is that do you know if these purple colorway are part of the 3 carbon plate or the singular carbon plate?
Not a dumb question at all haha, Single! The one that was questioned and had multiple never made it to market so any alphaflys you can purchase all meet the world athletic standards which is 1 carbon plate and a max stack height of 40 mm!
Looking to buy a running shoe and not sure what to get. Thinking of these, the new balance 1080s or the ASICS novablast 3s. Which should I buy? I don't mind spending the extra for a great shoe. Open to suggestions
It would be tough for me to recommend without knowing the type of runner you are! All three are great options. Novablast and alphafly are definitely going to be the most "unstable". But if you are someone newer to running or looking for more of that everyday utility shoe, you can't go wrong with the new balance 1080. If there was one word to describe each one Alphafly = propulsion Novablast = bounce 1080 = soft Hope that helps
You forgot to mention this shoe is not for everyone though due to the high and narrow arches especially those who are more flat footed. I'm one of them, tried out the Alphafly 2, same problem, very disappointed. So only Vaporfliesnfor me.
Thanks for comment! Yeah totally, I can only speak to my own experiences so I hope people with a foot type such as yours read that. I will address in future alphafly videos :)
