I think that all the time, it makes it 10x easier to be comfortable when you pretend people are always watching. Even in windowless rooms, I flick random shit off like smoke detectors and air vents xD
Cctv footage have bad quality because its made to stay 24/7. So they need to make it low resolution and low frame rate in order to save space on the memory.

Theres a couple points during the night when they're still up or just getting up and it's still night time, during summer in England ( not sure if its the same in America) they get up at about 3.30 to 4.00 am whilst its still fully nightime (although it's only couple of them).

The atmospheric pressure, wind direction, particle density matter! It's crazy how far it can zoom and show alphabets clearly! Technology is evolving..... forwards!
I own one (Nikon A900) and for a camera that can be put in a jacket pocket, it has an incredible range. Yet there is the question of how intrusive it is to have this range. You make a very, very good point. But: there was an article about a new camera that uses light spectrum (not consumer camera) and can photograph a subject from 45 miles away. The photos are in the colors of light and no detail but?
Depends what you mean by privacy . Ive a P900 and yeah i can see things most people cant except for the people whom are closer who can ...... think about that one . If its in public its fair game . Binoculars and sight glasses have been around for hundreds of years . In a world of cameras in everyones pocket then its upto the person who demands absolute privacy to do something about it .
Street is open but it seems strange, at times I'm taking a photo and A900 range is only 874mm (?) .. not like P900. But still it seems like the person knows. But not worrying about that but security cameras everywhere. And if consumer equipment can do so well, just imagine what technology we don't know, can do

Bears, Baltimore Orioles dive bombing an eagle, an owl far out scoping future pray, elk or pronghorn antelope, the list goes on.
