NIKON SB600 Review using CLS NIKON'S CREATIVE LIGHTING SYST 

Thank you so much. I read the manual several times for my SB-600 and couldn't get it to work. Five minutes after watching your video I was in business with remote flash! I used your instructions with my D700 and it worked perfectly.

I don’t know how many times I keep coming back to this because I forget the process for setting up my SB600 😳

Thanks for the Video. I was looking at the SB 600 for aditional Off-Camera Lights and to see if it could do all the things I wanted it to do. On a side note: I think if you set the pop-up flash on the camera to "--" it actually syncs it out of the shot instead of turning the power down.

The Nikon SB-800 has Commander and or Remote mode.I use mine with the extra battery which clips onto the regular battery compartment.The SB-600's are a good flash which I use primarily as remote slaves.

Thank you. This is the only instructive video that enabled me to set the SB-600 Speedlight (Channel 3, A Group) in conjunction with the D600 Nikon camera and they have worked well together since. Then suddenly the SB-600 failed to flash. I have three SB-600s and none will operate in line-of-sight photography as previously. The Nikon camera generates the flash but for some reason it is not being transmitted properly to or processed by the Speedlight. Could you suggest a remedy please?

Can't ever remember how, but 7 minutes in here! However, last time I hadn't reset so after Zoom plus "-"-sign didn't show sqiggly line, had to press - again, huh? Maybe because I put it back on the camera last night and got it back to normal operation somehow

I have a Nikon D300 that I an trying to use off camera with SB 600. I can get it to flash with the onboard flash as a trigger, but I think it's still firing and over exposing my photo. In the settings I changed it to the two dashes. Is there something that I can get for the hotshoe that will trigger it and another SB600 I have without breaking the bank?

Harry, I had difficultly understanding the name of the batteries that you prefer for this flash..sorry 'bout that mate! :)

I understand that the SB600 SPEEDLIGHT has HSS capabilities however can only achieve it once it on the camera's hotshoe as you have to do it from the in camera menu setting. But what I want to know is if when that FP sign pops up on your flash screen and u take a couple of shots but want to remove the flash off camera and still operate in HSS mode will it be possible or it will have to stay on top of the camera for it to work?

I love Nikon. I have more than $8,000 invested in my system. But I have to say the most worthless thing about Nikon is their CLS. It's plain stupid. I can't use my SB-700 as a slave with gels or whatever because you need the popup flash to trigger it. Well guess what. It drowns out anything creative that I want to do with the remote flash. I can get away with it sometimes if the flash is close by by putting my finger almost all the way across the popup flash. I am now investing good money into a Godox trigger-receiver setup that I really didn't want to do.
