I’m interested in seeing how the Sylvania LEDs hold up. Being one of the leaders in automotive light bulbs I’d think they’d know how to make an LED bulb. Please review them

yes, it's much cooler than halogen but do mind solid state components doesn't like heat. most big brand chip manufacturer rated their longevity at 80C so yeah, running it at near its TjMax will burn the chip sooner than its life expectancy. if you want sharp cutoff on reflector housing, you need a small emitter like what's used on Morimoto 2 stroke or Philips ultinon pro series. you might came across with Luxeon Z ES from older retrofit products. this chips is only 3W max. each (usually came with 3 chips per side, 18W per bulb) but they perform better than this big 3570 emitter type on reflector. i usually recommend those Z ES based LEDs for anyone who uses reflector. projector is much more forgiving but they need high output source like 30W+ LEDs

Awesome video as wlways! I'm not sure if it's doable on your end but to see if you can test lights under DRL settings (I know there are different types which can be challenging) to see if LED lights can actually DIM rather than flicker or not run well. The only bulb that pops up from Google that does well in that is Morimoto 2STROKE 3.0.

I can see this being perfect for high beam use. High beams sre typically only used a few minutes at time. And many high beams have tighter fitment than lows. I can see this being perfect for 09-current 4th gen rams with the quad halogen or the projector housings where the high beams have nearly no room for most led bulbs.

Do you have any video reviews on the Forenner Fahren H11 or the MOTOBEE H11? I bought thr MOTOBEE for a Suburban amd the Forenner Fahren for a projector headlight on a semi. I tried them both in the 2014 suburban. I feel the MOTOBEE does better in it. I haven't got to install them in my semi yet. I was curious of your opinion on them. Thank ya sir for making these videos it helps guys like me who are budget spenders lol. God Bless

Great and very informative video as always. Would you please consider offering a testing comparison for the dual beam led bulbs. I have a car that uses h13’s and feel like they come up with different beam patterns and brightness. The chip sizes make up some of the difference too. I guess that would make sense when adding more variables but I feel like it would be interesting to see. Thanks!

It is not every good because that draws way too much power, for tint led bulb with a tiny cooling fan. That will definitely shorten the lifespan and will not last. If it was a bigger heatsink and a larger cooling fan. That it can dissipate the heat much more efficient.
@toyotabrony
@toyotabrony 8 месяцев назад
Holy crap. That is the hottest all in one, perfect size halogen bulb type led bulb that’s almost 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Back then. I use to think that Auxito Q16 has the hottest one for 168 degrees Fahrenheit. But compare to the newer all in one led bulbs. It’s not even that bad. And Q16 is a monster, more wattage, it has a big ass cooling fan that does better job. This nilight led bulb is ridiculously hot. For the price, the performance of the led bulbs, the retention, it is not worth the money. I prefer Auxito M3 and Q16 over that thing. The longevity of that led bulb will not last for that temperature. Not worth the money.

I can see this being the perfect option for a high beam set up. High beams typically aren't run for hours on end, and often times in tighter spaces.

@@n.shiina8798 I’d recommend white led in fog lights. For those wants to see better to illuminate dark side angles and not just headlights. I have switchbacks to use 6000k white and 3000k yellow in my headlights. From lasfit - LD plus switchback H11 projector.
@toyotabrony

@@n.shiina8798 a 4700k/3000k is of course a better option. Or u can use again, a switchback from lasfit. Best of both worlds.

Thank you for the review! I'm in the very tight space between my dust cap group. Does anyone make a LED Headlight that is super slim and has an external driver? I'll be sure to use your affiliate link when I make my purchase! If you're up for adding another category to your spreadsheet it'd be nice to know the collar tab to back of fan depth on headlights or at least adding the word slim to the test notes. I'm curious how other slim all in one models would stack up against the E4S. Like the Lastfit LCAir and the Novsight N63!

Are H11 and H9 the same in LEDs? I replaced my low beam halogen projectors with H11 LEDs on my Kawasaki ZX14R and I’m needing to replace my H9 high beam halogens. I thought the only reason the halogen high beams throw farther is because they have more power and the tip of the bulb isn’t covered in that dip they use on the glass on H11. Are the projector housings different between high and low beam also to give the extra throw?

Unfortunately, I can't suggest a recommendation for specific vehicles as I can't test them all, I am sorry to say. That's why I can offer a baseline reference. However, I do suggest that you consider what is most important in an LED lighting upgrade for YOUR needs? Brightness? Value? Quality? Pick two of the three. Then, review my headlight data spreadsheet here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and use that data to guide your decision. Also have a look at my awards videos: 2022: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YMxLhQtwB7I.htmlsi=6UnMSmbHZcWHNXzh 2033: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mCPfobbCDvg.htmlsi=2s_4Qdip0hnV_pyt That should help!

I think it'd be good as a high beam bulb given its poor brightness over time Have you seen the Bulbtek X6? I commented on another video I thought was your latest but I was wrong. It's a really interesting bulb, its projector only and has this weird triangle arrangement for the LEDs so there's no dim spot like most of these LEDs. I returned mine though as I deemed them too bright for regular use
@toyotabrony

I agree with u. Use that for high beams is fine. But in low beams, it’s not good

I did test the Morimoto 2-Stroke 3.0 a couple of years ago on my other channel, just before I started this one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0N9419LxeIU.html Slightly different test methods than I do now, but that should give you an idea of things.

So i bought a combo of 9005 and h11 of the exact lights, The h11 for my fog lights lasted about 3 months before one side of the bulb failed, the 9005 are going strong till now. In a reflector, I had the same problem of scatter on the cutoff line so people would flash me regardless of how much i adjusted the beam and height. (for my fog lights). However LUXTER iv had for 6 months now and I love them still as strong in brightness as day 1 (Used for low beam).

Actually it’s more Auxito M3 to Lasfit LAair. This one is much much smaller and match the size of the halogen bulb.

Thank you for the review. Though not a great performer it is one step into the right direction and the little dead zone in the projection headlight is a great plus when driving in fog condition. For those who are tired of changing their halogen bulbs frequently at extreme tight space and have very little room in their enclosed small housing (eg. SMArt car) this design is still an excellent option at great price consider how much longer LED would outlast the halogen bulbs. Based on the design showing I could not help but wondering if an adding a second small fan below the driver by extending the connection stamp may yield a much better result but the noise may go up a bit. Thanks again for the review.
