And y'know the East meets West saga is probably the best part for me when I saw it on RU-vid. It was the perfect amount of campy and goofiness that I didn't mind. But episodes following that saga are just trash. Like something straight outta a Ryan Reynolds movie. Pre-2016 Ryan Reynolds that is.

Ironically it follows the path of every ninja turtles show except maybe 2012 which is starting up serious well "serious" in this case and with interesting plost, only to degrade into a dumb comedy by the end like 80s turtle after the first season (not counting red sky) or 2003 with fast forward

The Next Mutation really is one of those "you have to see to believe" even though no one should waste time with this crap.

Well, they tell Astronema in the In Space crossover that the Power Rangers are just pretend, forgetting that they take place in the same universe and have been covered in the news. So apparently Venus' magic being denied even if it's obvious that it exists seems to be a running thing for THESE turtles

Because like her inconsistent magic, the villains are a nonsensical joke I guess.

Imagine if the other dragons had listened to him and decided to move to another city, where they could eat as many people and animals as they wanted without the dumber-than-actual-turtles turtles coming in to awkwardly kick and punch and sound effect them into total submission every few days. Maybe they’d even eventually remember that their goal was supposed to be liberating Earth from humans, but by then Weinerlord would be too fat to lead them.

Definitely. Give her a reworked back story, nerf her magic abilities as well as make it consistent (heck, even include throwing items as her weapon given her use of that in this show). I know she reminds us that The Next Mutation exists and we all want to forget that but there was something of value there and it was the turtle people hated for some reason.

The incompetency of this show's writing staff is beyond belief! Each episode is "written" by a different person, Dan Clark and Michael Mayhew are responsible for banging out this episode and the lack of plot awareness is painfully obvious, they introduce an interesting idea, have an opportunity to take this crummy show in a different direction, add intrigue BUT they must have done a bunch of blow and forgot what they had and then ended it in a stereotypical way. Most of the production team must been on heavy meds or constantly drunk to make something this imbecilic!

@@maxbrandt6 I honestly thought the East Meets West saga was the best in the the entire show. It had a decent enough campy stuff to make it goofy and funny without being too over the top dumb and Shredder, for however long they had him, was decently threatening. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious to see where this would go once we've established the story we're going to tell and what was yet to be told after. So essentially only the first five episodes of this bitch were the best they could come up with. AND THIS SHOW IS ONLY 26 EPISODES LONG! Its like the game Action 52, you'd think with the variety we're given there'd be more gems than this. GREAT JOB YA CANADIAN CHUMPS!

Venus wasn't at fault with the Next Mutation's downfall and was the more tolerable part of the show. I feel like Peter should've long gotten over it. We can change her story with her being a Shaolin monk (since she's from somewhere in China) instead of the shinobi ≠ ninja, give her weapons of Chinese origin, maybe change her color, keep her name as Mei Pieh Ci), have her already in China and coming across Mutagen there, and more I can't think about.

I played it back when I was a kid. Lot of fun, but running up and down all those inclines made me think my legs were on fire.

I really liked it, and believe wholeheartedly that it could come back, as it could be more of am all-ages thing, more like paintball.

I Think because of two factors: 1. She took out the Shredder out of the show on a single hit, and That maybe soured the experience. 2. She reminds Kevin and Peter of the existence of this show. Which I think isn't fair, but I understand the reason. Those are my two cents. Jennika in the comics is proof that this concept can be used right.

@@minatempes4151 no, the actual issues she represents is that she brings terrible new ideas, what they did to shredder, unnecessarily changes old ideas, them making the turtles not brothers just for the sake of non existing romance, and making clear that they didn't want to work on a turtles show. When you OBJECTIVELY look at the plot it's about a magical warrior who has to leave their home do to an empire and work with a group of teen heroes. That sounds more like a power rangers plot than a turtles one.

Maybe she rejected all of them off-screen, and now they're pissed..
