I love the hell valley sky trees. They're just a really weird thing that was put in that most people won't even acknowledge or notice, and the fact that there's no answers as to what they are, just a really weird background alien, makes them so cool. So many questions but no answers, something a lot of games are missing nowadays.
After finding this out as a kid I went to play the game and I saw it for myself. It actually really terrified me and I was scared to go back to that galaxy for a good while lol.
@@theturtleking2454 It's scarier learning how big they actually are compared to Mario, texture scaling-wise. (Specifically, there's a cool video from a guy called Swanky Box about it.
@@sirdioth No, I mean they are literal individual animals, each one made of of millions of cells themselves, they have their own organs and everything. It's like making giant lego bricks out of lego bricks, and then making a mega lego brick using those giant lego bricks.
Ben Drowned was honestly the most unnerving thing when I was younger. I think it was really just from the effort the original dude put into the act. Cheesy, yeah, but leagues above a random text story that didn’t try to add any extra detail to it.
I remember having a dream about picking up a tiny octopus on a beach and the moment I thought “I hope this isn’t the one I saw on Animal Planet.” It turned yellow and blue like the poison one.
As a zoomers myself who knows people who know people, some zoomers know about Ben Drowned ... because of FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN. NEVER underestimate the power of fandom, Coney. It consumes all without thought or mercy.
As someone who isn't a fan of either, that's objectively *hilarious* Just imagining that blue haired guy rollin up to a creepypasta just to beatbox against it, the thought slays me
I'm actually surprised that they didn't know Ben Drowned, that's like, gaming 101 lol. Hell it's thanks to long standing RU-vidrs like PBG that I knew what it was despite being a Zoomer myself, although i guess it's just where you were when you were on the internet back then
The Polybius thing is interesting for how many different layers it actually has converging together, and while individually they could be explained easily, lumping them all together into a Polybius myth is cooler. Like unmarked cabinets randomly put in arcades with no explanation (usually as a pseudo-market test), kids that got sick from playing arcade games (long playing periods with no rest), mysterious men in suits investigating these cabinets (CIA or FBI trying to break up gambling rings in arcades). Individually it can all be explained, but at the time with no good internet, playground word-of-mouth culture, and it all happening at the same time, it looked extremely suspicious. The Modern Rogue did a video on Polybius, and it’s an interesting dive into the subject.
omg coney has never heard of petscop? you're in for a treat my guy! (not that I ever saw petscop but the gane theories on it were mad fun back when it started to pick up traction
i'm a zoomer but I'm 20 so I absolutely know Ben drowned, as well as I know demon the Black pikachu (as a kid I genuinely thought that happened to the youtuber telling that Story btw!)
Love when even watchmojo stoops as low as making a Top 10 Animals you've never heard of (i actually knew every single one ) also Who the fuck has never heard of the Blue ringed octopus
I could be misinformed so correct me if I’m wrong, but the hell valley sky trees also only show up if you’re playing as LUIGI. The torment for Luigi will never end
Someone in a completely different comment section on a completely different video called you a kangaboo. I laughed very hard at that, and felt the need to come here and let you know I'm laughing with you, not at you.
Was the DS3 Easter egg that Coney was talking about the one where you need to use a young white twig or whatever to turn into a humanity and bring down the ladder in the Ringed City? Because I don’t remember anything about an Easter egg with the Mantis Preacher’s Head
I know about ben drowned. I forgot all about how it started but it was very creepy seeing that weird ass link statue thing looking at th e player in that dark room
yo hey ik this is off topic but i got mario kart wii smash brawl and new super mario bros wii at game stop i found it fuckin weird that they sold em or had em for sale
Strikers is so slow.. Is not an upgrade. Will love seeing your take on it, but oh boy I do not like the pace. Plus the fact that 80% of the full cast is in 1 match if you dont have duplicates. Hoping there are unlocks, but the free dlc is gonna be annoying
Fun fact, Sonic.EXE was so bad and poorly written we removed it from the creepypasta wiki. JCTheHyena had an absolute meltdown because of it, it was funny as hell. I was a chat moderator when it all went down.
In Animal Crossing (at least New Horizons), if you equip the graveyard wallpaper, you'll see a random ghost appear every now and again in dim lighting; and of course we all know about 3:33 AM....
I didn't realize people found lavender town creepy in Pokemon red and green. Whenever I heard that song I instantly started humming to it. It's a nostalgic feeling I guess.
I love man'o'wars so much and they aren't related to jellyfish, I don't know if it's true or not but each man'o'war is like thousands of small creatures
