It's one thing to offer a service to people to mod their consoles for them, but another to also teach potential customers how to do it themselves! Shows true passion.
can confirm that he is 100% legit. I sent in my Pokemon scarelet and violet OLED switch and got it back in less than a week and everything has worked perfectly. Thanks again!
This was nice watching a master at work. Gotta say I felt my heart sink a little imagining having to cut tin brackets in a new switch. Gotta do what you gotta do.
I thought it looked easy…..ordered a Picofly kit for OLED and Lite. Opened the small boxes and way like ohhhhhh, those are really small solder spots!!!!
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the difficulty of the install? I've done some soldering with keyboards and old gameboys before, but have never done any micro soldering.
That’s a good question but you will get different answers depending on who you ask. If you have some experience I think it can be don, just make sure you take your time. Another factor is the equipment, get your self the right tools. Maybe a 5-6. Best of luck !
that one part that goes under the chip labeled "SEC 243 B041 KLMCG4JETD SHX78SI3S" , the yellow one with "D0" on it. some tutorials also solder the contactpoint and the resistor on the left together, and some tutorials don't. what difference does it make?? i cant find this anywhere on the internet.
i am very curious could you make a vid to where the real A point is, say from a parts board with a hot air removal and then a reball to democstrate a fix if a point gets dammaged
Hi great video! My doubt is if this affects the original Nintendo Switch firmware or if it is something you can decide on boot. To use HACS or original firmware and connect to the Nintendo network. Thanks!!!
How do you confirm D0 is connected? I've slid it in as far as it goes and keep pushing as I solder the ground pads but getting long yellow short yellow pulse to say D0 is missing.
@@Wayayeo I had it connected brielfy and got the 8.10 reading mentioned in video but it usually reads 0.2megaohms. Had it do succcessful boot once but failed again and it's the DAT0 error so just the emmc. Any points for ensuring? I;ve stuffed it in as far as it can go and pushed it in while soldering grund to make sure it's stuck in place but no joy with consistency
Just for anyone else who was struggling. My DAT0 flex wasn't the best, got a replacement and it stayed connected no bother. Still had error though despite it being connected, turned out to be the 3.3v flex at fault so wiring the DAT0 wire to the RP2040 point on the board for it solved the issue,
Hwfly was a clone of the SX chip, it popped up when gary bowser (the creator of the SX chip), got imprisoned for piracy charges Picofly is an alternative made with the $4 raspberry pi pico. The HWfly is now no longer in production due to the release of picofly. They used to have a monopoly on nintendo switch modchips and charged exorbitant prices but picofly changed all that and they quietly discontinued hwfly.
I see several mod chip sets in my search for a mod chip for my oled switch. Are all of the options compatible? If not how do I determine which is compatible? Thanks.
Good work, I installed hwfly (not pico) on my oled since 2 years ago but i always face problem red led after rebooting, is that issue happening with pico ship? Thanks
yes Dat 0 give me always 0.8xx reading!! I had to disconnect the battrey and connect hw fly ship points together by tweezer its like a reset to get it work until nex reboot @@Wayayeo
Is it possible that I can send my OLED switch to you from Germany? Unfortunately, we don't have such good offers or options to implement this. I would be very happy about an answer
Hello i try to this and first time when I boot I have the ofw , I re see your video and I swap the cable I thought I had soldered the cable you soldered between the letter C and D in the wrong place, so I connected the cable to the point at the bottom, and then I had a BLOD. now I removed the picofly and I still have the BLOD…. Do you have any idea, thanks
this is for patched consoles, where as the jig and RCM trick doesnt work anymore.. all switches after the patched RCM and jig will need this method. and rp2040 is the best one for lites and oleds. Less failure rates. Im getting mine back from this guy in the mail with ups and i cant wait to play some games and emulators on it! :D
yeah i used wayayeo for my install service and he was very profesionall. Clean install, and it works! cheapest price i could find for the install. Anywhere else was asking 180$ and up. @@ryanbrahsling5096
My d point is OK, but I still get a blue light followed by three blinking white led. According to the error codes d0 is bad, but I get 845 or so diode reading from it. So I don't think it is.
I can also confirm that he is 100% legit Responded to every call every text he is super professional He knows what he is doing and i would recommend him to everybody wanting any repairs at all i shipped him my switch oled all the way from the bay area Everything came back working as it should and super clean work i couldnt be happier wish this guy the absolute best and i hope your business booms not too many honest and trustworthy men like yourself!!!! ( ALSO HE TOOK 2 DAYS!!! )
"Rp2040" aka "Picofly" They are quite cheap and easy to get your hands on. Theres also people who can install it for you if youre not too comfortable soldering or dont have the proper tools :)
Your commetning on a vhannel that offers services :P just thought id poit that out hah. HE installed the rp2040 on my Splatoon 3 japaneese edition switch tablet and was completed yesterday, getting ti back in ups this coming week and im excited to try it out! @@ToxicMothBoi
Wait do you not have to use hot air or anything to mate the point of the yellow ribbon that slides under the chip with it, how do the points that slip underneath mate with the chip, its never explained in this video how that is done, and I never see you do anything with it, just the two points near the outside of the switch board and the one center point where you solder the purple wire?
