I didn’t have much time to make individual videos for every game I played last year, so I made this one! I realize that I let Advance Wars and Bayonetta slip through the cracks - my apologies. Those are both good games that probably wouldn’t change my take on how great of a year it was.
My favorite things we got this year are waves 4-6 of the BCP and Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe. I've enjoyed speculating and anticipating each wave releasing and it was a blast to play, and Kirby Return to Dreamland is one of my favorite games on the Wii and I grew up playing it so much, so playing it again so many years later is just amazing and nostalgic as hell.
Awesome video on an awesome year!! 🎉 Pikmin 4 is my GotY as well and a top 3 Switch game! There hasn't been a single year for the Switch when I was able to play all the games I wanted, even only counting the main suspects 😅 Here's to an awesome 2024 as well🎉
Always glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Pikmin 4 was so good, and I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who preferred it over Mario and Zelda. Totally understand not getting through every game every year. There were a couple of games in this video that I had to go back to this past month just to get the video done - it’s always hard to keep up with everything as it comes out!
@@thesaucylorax It was really close for me - but I am a bit of a Pikmin simp. I’m surprised that a lot of people are commenting that TOTK should have been in my disappointing games video - I thought it was awesome.
2023 was a great year for Nintendo, and this was a great video (well I am so far 10 minutes through but I know it'll be good for the rest) Also I completely forgot about 1-2 switch

Never played Metroid on the cube because of the way the aiming worked😅 sucked because i could see how good the game was! But im glad they remastered it! And i was finally able to enjoy it! Sometimes missing a great game and have the chance to experience it years later is a fantastic feeling!
Looks like you might have forgotten to include Bayonetta Origins and Advance Wars. What did you think of those games? Also, this was a great first video that I watched on your channel! I enjoy reviews, so it might be fun to binge your content!
Nice catch! I was actually on the fence about including those but I ended up leaving them off because they’re “published” by Nintendo but not “developed” by Nintendo. Technically that’s also the case with Detective Pikachu - so I’ve violated my own rule! I also didn’t want the video to get too much longer. Anyway - I’m really glad you enjoyed the video!
In that case, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe (HAL Laboratory), Fire Emblem Engage (Intelligent Systems), and Super Mario RPG (ArtePiazza) would also be ineligible, but I'm so glad you talked about them anyway! Nintendo-published games in general have a certain degree of quality control that's really rare in most big releases (except Pokemon...)
