I feel so bad for Ermias Dad, you can hear his sadness and how he wishes he could have spent more time with his son while he was younger. Divorce is hard, really. But look at Ermias and how he built his store and brought his dad in as a partner, mannn that must have lit up his world. @mike tyson yes, he referred to himself as a weekend father, how he couldn't wake up to his family or kids anymore, he could only see them on the weekends, 2 days a week. That's hard, those are the most important times with your kids. So I feel for him. Kids can drift away from their parents like that, I'm just thankful and happy that this wasn't the case, that Ermias chose to bring themselves even closer when he grew into adulthood.

God can bring you peace for sure but grief is real and it's better to embrace it early on than delay it. Delayed grief turns very nasty. Also the whole abuse thing ( not at all saying this didn't happen), but I personally think there was a huge culture clash between the 2 of them. He is a very African man you can see that and they show love in a very different way. Traditional Africans get married as a way to preserve the family name, conserve wealth it's more of a building thing so they often lack in the emotional side, but I believe he was there for his children, because in Africa the children are more important even than the wife.
