Hello, I really appreciate your effort in making videos. In the taxation part just one correction is there about short-term capital gain that is according to the tax rate of Investor, not 20% after indexation. For example, if you come under the 30% tax rate category, you will be taxed accordingly. Regards.

What is the tax applicable on the income earned by the mutual fund schemes? a. It is a function of the type of income since dividends, short term capital gains and long term capital gains attract different tax rates b. Income earned by a mutual fund is exempt from taxes c. 10 percent plus surcharge and cess d. It is a function of the marginal rate of tax applicable to the respective investor in the mutual fund scheme

The short term capital gain tax for debt funds is as per the income tax slab and not 20% and also there is no indexation provided for STCG in debt funds. The stripping slide is incorrect. There is a time constraint on the setting off. If the units were bought within 3 months prior to the record date and sold within 9 moths post the record date, the loss is not available for set off.

Taxation are subject to changes. The stuff given in nism study module and latest data might differ. Thank you for letting me know. Further the stripping slide is not covered in detail as for your exam purpose i focus on the topics that could be easily understandable and let you score good. For deeper knowledge you can surely go through the pdf and use the videos just to get an overal understnadng. Thank you. Keep up the support.

@@DevTechFinance I agree that taxation can change from time to time. However, STCG of Debt fund was never 20% with indexation. Even the NISM book does not say so. But, I must say that your videos are in general, excellent and have helped me a lot. However, I have one suggestion. You should do a proper SEO of your videos. I was searching for similar videos for a long time. However, these never came in the search results. I couldn't find much keywords either.

Mam STT is not applicable in case of purchase of debt mutual fund schemes but if we switch from equity scheme to debt schemes whether stt would be charged?? or if we switch from equity to hybrid schemes?

Tax rate applicable for Short term capital gains with regard to Debt fund/ Non equity fund is Maximum Marginal tax rate and not 20% as mentioned in the video. Also in case of Short term capital gain no indexation is to be considered

Good Video. However Debt Short term taxation is wrongly mentioned. Its not 20% post indexation but added to the income and to be paid basis the final income tax slab investor would fall in.

maam in dividend taxation the investors do not have to pay the tax if the dividend income is less than 10lakhs but is it the same for the mutual fund company they also do not have to pay DDT if dividend income is less than 10lakhs ?

Hi, maximum weightage(10-12%) goes to ch- 4,7,8,9,10,12.....next comes ch- 11,5,6and the last uploaded topic of financial planning & model portfolio all with weightage of(7-9%).....least weightage chapters (4-6%) are 1,2 and 3
