Thanks to Manscaped for sponsoring today’s video! Get 20% Off + Free Shipping with promo code “MOTORFEED” at manscaped.com/motorfeed! Nissan revealed a new cheap truck that can beat Ford Maverick, Toyota Stout, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado and all other trucks. The Nissan Frontier is also a big deal. A Small pickup truck war is starting and Nissan is about to throw their hat in the ring with an awesome new cheap pickup truck. Over the past few years full size trucks have been getting bigger, fancier and more expensive but In 2023 sales of the overpriced trucks has slowed to a crawl and manufacturers are trying to figure out what to do next. Ford was first to the small truck game by releasing the Maverick, Rumors of a new Toyota Stout have been taking over the internet, and Nissan recently revealed that they are thinking about bringing back the classic hardbody pickup truck with a new and more modern version.
And it might even start at a shockingly low price of just $20,000!

I'm going to say it again: auto makers have totally lost the plot when it comes to trucks. They've turned them into luxury soccer mom vehicles and forgotten their bread and butter: guys who work for a living.

And the small truck market, event with the proposed Ridgeline, will still rob you of 49,550$CAN for the Sport trim. 58,550$ for the BlackEdition. Chipping 34,795$CAN for a Maverick XL makes more sense. If you can get one...

A versa, the cheapest car in America is $20k, you really think they can build a pickup truck for under $30k? For that price, people will complain about lack of everything. Oh no towing, hard plastic everywhere, no power, defeats the purpose of a truck. You have to be able to please and wow customers for them to buy products so I'll say that's going to be pretty hard unless the goal is just to capture customers, move units, take huge losses in profits to buy keep cash flow and profit in the future

The only thing he had to replace on it was tires and occasionally the oil, he regrets ever selling it. If they made the same type of vehicle today, I highly doubt it would be as tough as how they made them back then, it would probably be built for the average mother who gets groceries and brings the kids to soccer practice and never drives on dirt.

Nissan was sued over the issue in a class action lawsuit, effectively turning every one of those trucks and SUVs into Lemons. Thats why you hardly ever see those trucks and SUVs on the road. I had an 06 Xterra that was totaled by that very issue, fragged the engine and transmission, causing it to spew milk of magnesia from every orifice and Nissan denied me a fix to a known issue because my Xterra "was not part of the VIN run with that problem". @@mobilesolutions4u444 Well I bought my 2006 in 2021 for $10k. It had 1 owner and 120k miles. I used it for all my work stuff in the last couple years and also to move 250 miles away to another city. My truck runs great and it fits my whole family if I need to take them in it. The MSRP on my fully loaded max towing version was $42k. Now the base models are $40k basically. For me to buy a comparable model... its more like the XD since the regular Titan doesn't have a max towing model available.... So those start over $50k now. Since mine is a 2006 Crew Cab LE 4x4 Flex Fuel + Towing Package. I have the huge beefy rear end with dedicated oil & Trans coolers + Locker & Tow Mode. Ford quit selling the 2.3L 4 Banger and the V-6 RWD Ranger because it was "taking sales away from the F150." Yep they were selling only 90 to 100 thousand a year by 2011. But that was because Ford did not want to sell 4 banger sticks with just the basic list of options. Sometimes a 4 cylinder is all you need. I had a 7 passenger Envoy for the old lady's pleasure. But if I needed to pull a 6000 lb trailer the Envoy could do it. The Ranger had transmission problems pulling a empty trailer. I also did not have to adjust the seats in it. Stick shift. But she always pushed the remote button 1st when both of us were going somewhere in the Envoy. Yep the seat memory did not work well when she did that. Works fine. Now that the Envoy is out of style. They seem to not understand there are men that drive them. But then the women are raising up men with musical chair fathers now.

Selling one full size luxury truck generates more profit than 3 or 4 small entry level combined. The decision to build large luxury is strategic, as more soccer moms and salary workers want them. As the segment and desire for more affordable entry level small trucks gets stronger, manufacturing companies will comply. People buy what is available more than what they state they want.
