About time Nissan gets serious. Hardbody for the win, just make the lights more square like the original. Love LOVE the retro throw back. Nissan, bring them down under and watch them take off. You know we like our UTEs here and anything that is a throw back will sell well so long as you keep them simple.

project 72X is by far the best! Love the steelies and the utilitarian look. As a new englander who used trucks for hauling and hunting-electronics and all the frills are non starters. Just the rear locker and the basics to get the job done-with the ability to easily modify. What works and nothing more.

Yep that's why I love my 2009 Nismo 6 speed manual so much. Thing is bulletproof. Never gave me an oz of trouble and not ever has it not got me where I was going or stranded me somewhere. I've wasted almost $1000 on CAA membership Ober the past few years and never use it lol. Although CAA is great way to get a new project car home. Bring your plates, slap em on the new car you just bought and get them to tow it home for ya. A couple of the drivers over the years knew what I was up to but said hey I get paid by the hour, I don't give a rat's ass!

The first truck with the steelies was my favorite. Growing up in the 80's I had a plastic model kit from ERTL which was exactly like this truck except of cours it was a sand color with Orange/Red 4x4 graphics on the doors. It was neat because it was a snap together and you could play with it after you built it. I also like the second truck with the retro hardbody wheels, so iconic. The last one I would never use half the stuff on it but its cool to see all the accessories you can screw to the truck.

That Hardbody throwback model is 🔥🔥🔥. The Adventure is nice, but I think the guys nailed it when they should have built a wide body to show what this truck’s real potential is. There is so much capability to swap out suspension components with the Titan (aka Titan Swap) that gives an extra 3” width each side using pretty much all Nissan OEM components (Frontier and Xterra owners have been doing this for years!). Throw some fender flares and BAM, a wide body long travel concept version of the Adventure for the next auto show.

As an owner of a hardbody that I'm restoring, this feels like a slap in the face. You took a regular frontier and slapped a decal on it that "looks like" the 720 decals, and used existing but painted spare wheels for it. You took a regular frontier, threw a tailgate sticker on it that says nissan, when the hardbody had actually embossed metal lettering with a decal over it. The hardbody is called the hardbody because the bed was double walled and thicker than any of the competitors bed. It was literally a harder body. Nothing was done to the body of this frontier to speak to that. The wheels that you are so proud of recreating from the original hardbody were a factory option wheel that was only offered for 2.5 years of the 8.5 years that the hardbody was sold in the U.S. rather than copying the chrome wheel with black center cap that the vast majority of the hardbody actually came with. Next, the hardbody was a small truck. Small truck. This thing is huge. Also, the hardbody was largely known for its cool side graphics, starting at the front wheel and going all the way down the side almost to the back wheel, which this frontier did not pay tribute to at all. And the last main stylistic defining feature, the hardbody had what is often referred to as "biceps." The fenders and wheel wells all came out away from the body, allowing lots of wheels to tuck, even ones quite a bit bigger than stock, without cheap looking black plastic fender flares like this frontier has. It gave the hardbody a sort of "muscle" look. You have basically a flat side of the body, minimal wheel well flare, with gross plastic fender flares and a crease on the back door. It's nothing like the hardbody.

The cheaper the interior materials, the better, for my dedicated 4x4 lol Edit: I cooked an engine of an old Jeep Cherokee, in a VERY deep water crossing gone wrong, because a forward facing snorkel sucked in all the water that splashed up and out as i bashed into the water (too fast) that was deeper than it looked... I'll take rear facing snorkel lol.

The Hardbody concept is my favorite out of the 3 and I'm hoping Nissan offers the wheels off of the Hardbody concept as a accessory

Those hardbody throwback wheels are really sweet! Funny though the original 80s hardbody STILL looks better than the modern truck imo.

I'd like the retro 80s red hard body as like a trim package with gear and options for camping. When I used to go camping my uncle always brought his hardbody 4x4 and we would load it up and drive straight up mountains to a little place we like.

I think a 2 door slightly shorter option would be awesome especially the way they built the gray one

The rear tire that mounts to the factory bed rail system is pretty sweet! Never really thought about all the added options that they could be used for

Grandpa had one. I'd buy it just for nostalgia & to have a solid truck for truck stuff

The red Nissan hardbody SV with the 3-inch lift is my favorite

Nissan should do the Hard body as a package on the Frontier. That 72 brings back memories too. There were several lifted 720s in the parking lot back in highschool.
