Nissan Note Door Lock Noise | Revisiting my 1st Youtube video fix and my Thoughts

This week we have a really quick video revisiting my 1st video where i fixed a really common problem with a nissan note 2007 with a door lock noise issue... I also come to a conclusion why this problem happens only with nissan notes although the same lock is used in other vehicle .... Cheers Guys 👍👍👍

You are a legend. I’ve put up with this noise on my quashqai for a year now. Left the upper screw in but loosened it. Removed the bottom two screws, and pushed that pin back in with a screwdriver. Problem solved in less than 10 minutes. Thank you.

My 2015 Nissan Juke just started making this noise only with both rear doors! One does it when you lock it and the other when you unlock! Took it to Nissan and they want $510.00 Canadian dollars to replace each door lock mechanism! I will try this first! If it works ……. You just saved me over $1000.00!🤘

Outstanding work. I literally had this on the driver's side AND the passengers side. I think my neighbours will sleep a little easier when I lock my car at night.

I didnt believe this would work so tried it. Both doors on my car, the pins were sticking out so spent 10 mins, pushed both back in and no more buzzing! Wow! Thank you so much bro 🙏

Hello.!.. thank you so much for your video, it's a big help, i saved money as the mechanic said they have to replace a new lock motor cost from €250 or more... i done mine nissan micra, but i had to remove the side panel as the pin was fell down inside, it made me more works of me... but its fine .. it's all fixed...

Pathfinder 2010 - worked on that as well! This together with finding hidden child lock switch on same side (couldnt open door from inside), saved me a ton of dealer nonsense. Thanks Bud!

Thank you for great video.i had this problem with my car which was fixed using your method.this saved alot of time and money. I found if you left screws in place but lose you could get more leverage on pin with screwdriver.

It's really easy to do, it took my 5 mins tops. I had spoken to a lock guy who quoted my 22.00 for whole lock mechanism and 75.00 per door. Thought I'd give it a go as if I messed it still have cost 100.00to fix. Saved myself nearly 100.00

Thank you Igor! Dealer wanted only €100 for the "Diagnostics". Probably the pin will escape again later as nothing holds it from escaping on this side.

I was thinking the same . What i gonna do with mine is to glue a piece of plastic to preven that pin to come out again . I wonder why they left a way to scape .?

Just done the same fix on my 2015 Nissan X-Trail, has annoyed me for about a year. Was so so easy. Per another comment, only removed the bottom 2 screws, loosening the top one but not removing it.

Thank you so much for this video. Fixed the same problem on a Renault Clio Mk3. Made the fix more permanant by gluing a coin over the pin hole with epoxy resin.

Latest to give thanks. Just fitted a 2nd hand NSF door lock only to find the exact same noise when testing it. Thought I would check out YT before going through the hassle of stripping the door and replacing the lock again. Happy days. Problem solved exactly as you described. Couldn't be happier. Cheers.

OHH MYY GODD. My moms old car ( which is a Nissan note too) had this exact problem. We both thought it was normal throughout 8 years of her ownership. And sometimes, if my mom forgot to lock the car. She would press the lock button inside the house, and if she hears this noise, she’ll know that the car is locked. Pretty handy to say the least 😂

This is happening to my Nissan Versa SV 2015, going to check it right now and see if it’s just the pin issue. EDIT unfortunately after checking my door it was not this simple fix, found another video that had my exact problem. I wish it was just a simple pin like this video but it wasn’t. Thanks for this. I fixed the car in less than two minutes. No need to remove facia just undo the three screws, push the pin in with a screwdriver and put the screws back in. Job done. The hardest part was walking to the garage and getting a star-shaped screwdriver bit!!

This just happened to me I quickly tried your fix but I can’t seem to see the little pin hopefully it’s just because I didn’t have enough light I really don’t want to have to take the hole thing appart and replace the actuator .. great video !

That sound is similar to what my 2004 Nissan Sentra car is experiencing. I'll try this simple solution as I'm getting tired of that sound.

I tried it, and I didn't fix it (there was nothing sticking out). It looks like I'll need to pay someone to disassemble my car door to replace whatever needs to be replaced.

Once the screws are removed from the motor and the locked is moved over is it hard to line the screw holes back up to secure the door lock motor?

Does this mechanism work for Skoda Yeti 2014? I have the same problem. I thought it is something went wrong whith the servos or the locking mechanism system?
