Hi there, nice to see you back. With regards to doing things on the engine while the body is out, you totally should do it. Any gaskets, belts or whatever needs to be replaced will be way more easier with the extra room.
It is nice to be back! Yeah I'm also thinking about doing as much as I can on the frame and engine stuff now then after the body is on. Since I don't have a lift to lift up the body, I cant just pick up body any time I want... I'm considering getting out the exhaust mainfold screws that broke, because I'm worried about blowing out my gasket and now while no one is stopping me I can do that. Also got interesting comment from my brother who is more in to drift cars and has 200sx Nissan. He said that he replaced all turbine tubes to bending ones and that makes it way easier to manage tubing and you don't have to worry about cracking them. I have seen people do that usually on performance builds like Drag cars and Drift cars. If I take everything off for fixing screws I think I will also change them.
On the end you mentioned about some screw missing from the front axle knuckle dust guard holder, if it is right on the front, it could be the turning radius limiter. It is a longer screw with a locking nut that you adjust the lenth to match the desired turning radius for the steering and then you lock it in place with the locking nut. Mine is missing so at full steering the tire rubs the frame. I have to replace it.
Radius limiter 😯 Didn't know that even existed! Again you are helping me a ton! My missing screw is on the bottom. I will tear everything down on that side, because I want to inspect the knuckle and see if its rusted or something. It is giving me problems and water gets in there all the time. So I will soon see what is what. Again I believe next time I will have time to work on the car will be only next week, but we'll see. How is things in Brazil?
