It looked to me like your truck bottomed out? You sunk the truck up to the frame? Once you bottom out no tire will pull you out! There’s no traction? Yes the tires loaded up after the truck was stuck! All tires do that! I saw a lot of broken dirty Quartz rock I just going through those creeks and on the banks! Usually that is a good sign for Gold? At least in the areas of the Gold belts here in NC, GA, SC, VA and Alabama. I haven’t made it to Georgia and Alabama to hunt for gold yet....

Hey there! I've said it before, the effort and time you put into the video( over car, under, front, close tire etc...) is AWESOME! So glad you share your fun and exploration.

Looks like you might have high centered the front axle in that rut richie, tires looked like they were up to stuff. And you will get pack just sitting there spinning regardless of thread type. This was one of my fav videos. Next to you kayaking with copperheads on every rock. I agree the nittos would be better simply due to the +10lbs of rubber/steel per tire and +1000lb load capacity. It would seem the nittos are well engineered. Cant wait to here some RFB out of you over on the chute. Keep up the great work on both platforms. And get yourself a land anchor incase you get stuck somewhere without trees.

Richie, I love the way you have dedicated a video to tyres, most people ignore the importance on spending and researching a tyre and go with the cheapest. I do it all the time, research and buy the best according to what I need. I go by the mantra, your tyres are your only connection with the terrain oad. This year after 2 nights of research I choose Dunlop sport maxx RT2 for my opel insignia (granted, not off road, but I can trust them with my life and I do) and wow they boys are worth every penny. I firmly recommend them them for anyone that gives a shit about safety, road noise, grip. Grip is phenomenal. Thanks Richie, Shane from Ireland.

Appreciate the airplane comparison! I had to purchase inexpensive tires last time and I fly loud! Love the real mudding footage, it shows how anything can happen and if you're not prepared, you're dead in the water.

Ozarks is a awesome place to be my brother. I used to ride my motorcycle through the Mark Twain national park. That's what really where I really learned to ride. My husband at the time said for me to slow down. I would kick it up to 5th gear and kick down when I needed to. I learned to do my leans like I should know how to ride. That really taught me alot in riding my motorcycle. I got really good at it. Much love to you and miss your other channels. ❤👍

I went from Cooper STT Pros to the Geolanders. Couldn’t be happier with them. They were much quieter than I could hope for and the performance is amazing.

Your right about the rain this winter wettest I’ve seen and I’ve lived here in these parts since 1975

You came to an abrupt stop once you hung your diffs & your axles were so grounded that even your winch was struggling to break you loose. Pretty sure the Nittos, or any other tire for that matter, wouldn't have made any difference in that exact scenario. (PS: I run Nittos)

You had a Great time testing those tires! :) I damn Site Love 4 Wheelin' and you had a good one here. In the early 80's we had a Nice 72 Chevy PU with a lift and monster mudders and had a Great time. That was when lifted trucks and Big tires were First Really hot. Lol But What Fun it was. Trucks & Tires have came a long way since.

Mud consistency changes on the same Trail during different times of the year. Maybe if the trail was wetter like in Spring the mud would have been thinner viscosity kind of soupy thus easier for the tires to self clean. It might be too early yet for you to know which one's better right now. I'm sure if the tires are problematic compared to the others you'll figure it out in the long run. Basically not a big enough sample size yet to know for sure.

There have been a few other YT Channels Wondering what happened to you and where you went. You were always a great Source of info to what's going on! I will admit I only recently learned about how pulleys are used to multiply pulling (or lifting) power. Also, isn't it amazing that a shovel might be the last thing we'd think of when we pack for an adventure overland but it's the first thing we might need.

Thanks for your videos, they are pretty good. I bought Nitto Ridge Grapplers myself for this run. I have a 2k mile road trip coming up so it will be a lot of highway with a few stops along the way. The truck had a/t on it but they slid a lot. Here in Louisiana it's always raining and the Nittos are the best I've seen. Dropped into some deep mud accidently lol, they handled like a dream. I will be looking at real mudders when I get resettled. 👍🍻

Nice test I'm getting ready to buy another set of Nitto's I use them on my old Ford F-350 Diesel and now putting them on my 2500 Dodge diesel they work especially great with the weight of the diesel up front over the axel and are rated with a strong sidewall so I can still haul heavy loads with the truck. You should get a locking axel up front as much 4x4 as you do it would pay itself of fast.

Thanks for the video! I was on the edge on getting the Geolanders buy I just can't see how someone can buy after watching this video. While I do mainly rock crawling as opposed to running in the mud, I would never want to take the chance to not be able to perform when needed. Great video

When you frame out it doesn't matter what tire is on there. Make a video of the grappler going through that same rut. We all know you are using that winch again.

LOL! I used to make these tires Richie! I worked at Toyo Tires and used to sling these bad boys! The plant did shut down due to everything that "happened" last year so that is why you can't get these tires. We used to run 24/7/365 and still couldn't keep up with production demand so them shutting down for months has them way behind production schedule. Hate to be the bearer of bad news here but just wanted to let you know. Great video and glad you got out of that mess!!!

Somewhat Apples to Oranges. The dealer should have sold you the Yokohama Geolander M/T G003 vs the X-MT. The X-AT is a cross over/Hybrid tire much like the X-MT that you have. There are some compromises. The compound is harder vs the Nittos you replaced and some of the benefits is a quieter ride, and much better tread life at 80% of the performance of a true Mud Tire. I have the X-AT's on my 20 F250 7.3 gasser and I have had BFG's, Both AT, KO2 and the new KO3's, Nitto's, and Toyo's and for what I do which is not near as much fun but more in and out pulling trailers in mud these have been the best tires I have owned...Next favorite is the Nitto Ridge Grapplers...another Hybrid. An AT tire is not aggressive enough for me and Mud is too loud cause I'm on the phone all the time.... These Hybrids for me are best of both worlds. I enjoyed the video keep them coming ..subscribed.

BACK IN 68- TO 75 ME A A FRIEND TO A VOLKSWAGEN AND CHANGE THE AXLE HUBS , AND UPGRADED TIRE SIZE TO 15'' AND BACK THE WE HAD WHAT WE CALLED THE " GUMBO 'MUDDERS" . 15X5'1/4" AND WE USED TO PISS OFF EVERYONE IN THE BIG HEAVY TRUCK , BECAUSE WE COULD DRIVE THROUGH MUD PITS THAT NO ONE COULD GO THROUGH ! BUT OUR KNOWLEDGE CAME FROM FIGURING OUT THAT WE NOW HAD A VEHICLE THAT WAS ONLY A THIRD OF THE "WEIGHT" as all other trucks , Plus I already knew that a Volkswagen could " Float" !! And no one else did ! This was the ultimate hunting trapping vehicle . And we never got stuck . I wish I could show you pics. But that was way',back ! But I know you could envision this vehicle . Anyway just thunk',n bout ya when I see you doing what I used to do : climbing through the Glue mud and chaining up to a tree to pull my Ass out ! Take care Bro. KIRK'OUT'PEACE

Thank you for another great video! For the exhaust gasket try Remflex. They are thicker and when tighten down they conform to both head and header.I have used in the past on my 22re.

Ive been using Nitto tires on all of my off road rigs for the past 12 years. They’re pricey but I stand behind them nonetheless. They are great tires all the way around.👌🏽🔥🔥

This an actual tire review! I'm glad I watched this video, considered those tires, but not after this. That's the kinda soupy stuff I go through. I'm trying to do it on 35's vs some 38.5's and bigger. I have to be careful of the lines I take, because I'll bottom out my diffs regardless. I need all the help I can get. These tires ain't it. They look cool though.
