NIV Zondervan Study Bible and NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible Layout Comparison

I am very glad that you did this Review because I have been drawn to the Zondervan Study Bible and had no idea that the Biblical Theology Study Bible was the exact same Bible. Still leaning toward the old version for some reason. _______________ @Bible Believing Christian - Came back just to let you know that I finally received the older version today! I got it from eBay -- awesome Seller because my Bible is like NEW! I got around the gutter issue by taking it in sections and flattening out the gutter. I soooo LOVE the older version!

It truly is preference. Everything you liked about the new one I preferred the old. The gutter is far better if you have a leather cover instead of the hard bound. I also prefer the 2 column notes and the wider sentence spacing as well as the references on the outside.

Yeah. I don’t like my text falling into the gutter either ;\ It’s hard to highlight in my bibles like that. You did a really good job with comparison, I can really see the difference.

Zondervan do awesome job on there niv study Bible's

After watching the previous video and now this one as well you may have swayed me on this Bible. Like I said, I've never been a huge fan of this particular translation, but I do like to have many to cross reference. I also love all of the different features. I will be doing some research on this one for sure, mainly to see the font size and cover options. Thanks for the comparison, I think the updated version looks much nicer. God bless my friend!

Let's hope that the industry standard for Bible page layouts fully adopts this fantastic "no-gutter-text". That's new to me and such a valid factor that many would miss. Not having to hi-lite into the gutter, too.

I have the old version and love it would be nice to update it

I notice that the old one uses a serif font and the new one uses a sans serif font. For me the sans serif makes all the difference in the world. It doesn't have the tails on the outer edges of letters. It's plain, and therefore just easier over all to read! Great comparison! Thank you.

Love your video, Im still learning whats what. I'm in England and sadly the choice of bibles are very limited and costly (Above the retailer recommended price) the ones i'd love to purchase i find are always from the United States and the postage is usually £20 upwards. (not blaming them, im just saying). We certainly dont have the euphoria for praising God or going to church that is prevalent in America. When i watch celebrities, they talk about 'their' church nearby. You'd rarely, if ever, get a 'British' celebrity or 'average' person talk like that..churches have become either apartments, mosques, knocked down or a haven for the elderly (bless them, because back then they were still taught to love respect, honour and fear God) No anymore sadly.

i cannot justify spending another $50 or so to "upgrade" if the only complaints are cosmetics. That money could be used for better purposes- like missions, which is what I would do with the extra money. switching just doesn't make any practical sense.

I have a question does the NIV fully revised version has illustrations like the City of ur the ark of the covenant Jerusalem in time of Hezekiah, David, Solomon etc?

Im a baby christian and Im considering moving from the NLT version to an NIV. English is not my fist language so Im a little bit intimidated by the KJV and NKJV versions. Between this one and the Cultural Background study bible, Which one would you recommend?

just out of curiosity...are both of those bibles you are showing with the updated text from 2011 or newer..?.. since they gender neutralized the NIV text around 2011... I have the D.A. Carson Theological Study Bible... but was thinking of getting the Zondervan D.A. Carson Study bible.. due to the possibility it would contain the prior to 2011 text... but I will not bother ......if both bibles have the same text....

are contents same exactly?

If the differences are in the layout, why spend the extra money to get essentially the same Bible.
