Thank you for granting my request on Nnewi. It is my home town actually. Nnewi indigenes have played there part, we are waiting for the government to compliment our effort considering our contribution to Anambra economy. Nnewi has not really gotten its fair share of development from Anambra governments.
We need to set world class standards on road construction if not everything will remain the same. Roads that go through towns and cities must come standard with functional covered drainages and sidewalks, road markings, road signs, bus stops, proper landscaping and street lights. In addition, policies around trading, parking, loading and off-loading must be implemented on these roads. We should also take tree planting and green areas very seriously. This is 2023 and if we really want to make our mark then we have to start building projects for the future. Major roads need to be dualised and our buildings need to be architecturally pleasing to the eye. The days of 4 corner buildings have ended. If we want to be serious then we should start building things properly. It is only when these things become the standard that we can say we have woken up. If we imbibe the culture of building world class infrastructure then it will keep going on with other governors coming in.
Absolutely! 100 hundred percent. The world is evolving AI is coming up within the next year or so. Governor Soludo promised to do things differently. I am yet to see the new innovation he promised. It does not take a rocket scientist to build road that cater to all, pedestrian and all. Road construction in most Nigerian states and cities are still constructed as was done in past 100 years. It's unacceptable. Our roads must be modern and inclusive of all road users.
You have spoken my mind, fully agreed with you bro. As an Igbo I feel ashamed of my people who always brag n brag but look how backward n mediocre East as a whole look and Nnewi a town that’s filled with billionaires is shameful. Everything about nigeria n ala Igbo is mediocre
Good job, what I noticed much is that most families both rich and poor plants alot Banana and Plantain inside nd outside their compound, I love it, as for road, they have no good roads in Nnewi town, some of the small good ones is being constructed by Nnewi individual...I repeat it again the worst thing ever happened to ñdi Anambra is obiano...he uselesss our money with his wife
Obiano administration was a complete failure, wasted valuable resource and time. Lack of version, very narrow minded administrator. Nothing to write home about.
@yangalife. This feature highlighted on Nnewi is very comprehensive and extensively exposed the level of negrate of the highly potential growing city by previous administrations who rather concentrated half of the road constructions within their respective towns. By my reckoning this episode on Nnewi ranks among the very best documentary and special attention henceforth should be given to the urban renewal efforts that will drastically transform our 3 major cities. So much extra hard work is needed to achieve the lofty objective of Anambra state of our dreams.
I am yet to see what the so called governor of change Mr. Soludo will bring to Nnewi as one of the most economical vibrant city within the state. So far it's all talk no action.
People complaining about narrow roads etc should know this is the village of many people. Not everyone is willing to give up there ancestral land for road.
Even uptill now as we speak there is no road yet in Nnewi.... Nnewi needs wider roads. Thé government of Anambra state should pay more attention to Nnewi. I am not from Nnewi but Nnewi needs dualised roads flyovers. Nnewi needs that flyover going on in Ekwuluoba more than Ekwuluoba. And as you saïd Soludo is not using good construction companies.
@@uchaysammy did I Say thet everywhere will be done at thé same time? I am only saying that Nnewi needs urgent attention not building roads but building befiting roads......wide and dualised roads or are you looking down on Nnewi? Can you possibly compare Ekwuluoba to Nnewi? For your information I am not from Nnewi I am from Awkuzu but I lived in Nnewi before so I know what I am saying. Nnewi needs more attention than Ekwuluoba.
YangaLife channel thank you for fulfilling your promise on my requests for you to let us see the re/construction by the government on Nnewi roads. I am truly disappointed with what I see there in your video. Many of your fans already made useful comments regarding the level of neglect by the government on roads and infrastructural development in the place that brings so much revenues to the state. I mean, I live outside the country where individuals are taxed to their teeth by the government. The taxes are hard on the people, but the government compensates with good roads, steady electricity and a very clean environment. If Nnewi is generating so much to the state, why can't the state pay them with good roads to help it generate much more? As I commend the current governor of the state for the road works he has done in parts of the state (like Isuofia, Ekwulobia etc, and) especially in Awka and Onitsha cities, let me equally observe that he has not done well in Nnewi. You are correct in saying that he needs to reciprocate for the huge revenues he collects from Nnewi. Again, thank you and keep up the good work!
Too many shanties in Nnewi roads and roads are narrow..govt should hava a plan to dual the roads also gotrid of those shanties .Nnewi is a great city govt should comein
The country of the millionaires and billionaires and the first millionaire Sir Louis Ojukwu. The country of HE Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Cos mas Maduka, Innoson, David Chuka Nwosu and no roads no flyovers, no Strategic Private Sector Initiatives, Public Private partnerships, Na waooo
Pls say it again, @ yanga life, this road needs to be dualized, if not for anything at least because of Nnobi & Nnewi, u can't walk on those roads without being afraid of being hit by a bike or a vehicle, the roads are too busy & narrow, it should be dualized with covered drains & sidewalks.
The roads are in horrible condition. Some parts look depressing. I always bet on the Igbo man, but this what I'm seeing here shows a lot. You guys can do way better. The east can look like Dubai or even better. People of the east, you guys can do better.
Honestly what I see on the road is structures that will be destroyed if there is going to be anything like expansion or dualization of the road or the fly over. Igbo people are so ignorant of the future. They only think about now. How do you build houses to the road without thinking that tomorrow the road could be expanded. When the government wants to demolish these houses now they will be seeking for compensation but doing the right thing is wrong.
Pls asked it again..this is virtually what soludo is doing in d state.. Using poor contractors to do the shadow job...all drainages should be covered ,that is the standard.
I believe I over heard you referred to his Royal highness Igwe Kenneth Orizu the third as first Class Chief. That was wrong. Igwe is king not first class Chief or anything of such. Igwe as King confers tittle of Chieftaincies to his subjects or his citizens. Chief maker if you like. Igwe is not first or second class Chief whatsoever. Igwe is a King. Please take note for future reference, thank you.
@@YangaLife Well, absolutely! Anyone occupying throne as Eze or Igwe across Igbo Land and surroundings are kings not Chiefs. All will be referred to as kings with all due respect. Not Chiefs. The Royal highnesses confer chieftaincy title to their subjects and citizens as the case may be.
Summary Nnewi dnt have good infrastructure. There roads needs to be dualized.all this tiney one lane road 🛣️ in anambra doesn't make ur developed,as some people portray. People felt that development is about individual houses , Anambra lacks qaulity road infrastructure like akwaibom.
nnewi is very backward considering their economic value to anambra state an africa at large nnewi has many prominent sons I mean successful business men nnewi need a better look thank this but we are too corrupt in igbond
It will take a non-Igbo or a non-Anambra Igbo for that matter, to realize that Nnewi is second to Onitsha in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Anambra State, and give it the due attention it deserves. You can take this to the bank.
I am sorry but Soludo is not going to do anything better than what you seeing right now. He doesn’t have it in him. I am alarmed at the killing that took place at Oba on the 10th of December 2023. I am shocked at the snail pace, the shoddy construction work, and lack of security in my home state. Soludo based on my statistical analysis will be a mediocre governor.
