I love the video - it's exceptionally helpful and your way of explaining is very good, my only observation is that it would have useful for the camera to be a little closer to your hands

I'm glad we get this first, so it is out of the way. This loop stitch is new to me. I like the chart in the pattern. I can use for other styles of crochet, too.

Great video, although I've had to mute it at times as the counting kept making me miscount 😅 took a few tries to get the hang of the loops but I think I'm there, far from perfect but special to me 🥰 some of my lighter green that I've carried shows through the darker green, is that right?

That’s usual when carrying your yarn. It’ll hardly be noticeable once the blanket is finished.

For all who need the following information to the Yarn: Hayfield Bonus DK Extra Value Hook size: 4mm (US F/5) Yarn weight: 100g double knitting Yarn Lenght: 280 meters (360 Yards approx) Hope it helps. 😊

Hi i am left handed. following the 1st part of the pattern to make the tree box is alright however i now have the difficulty of making the loops because for me the loops are on the wrong side of the work. Help??? should i just do an extra row of the bottle green befor making the loops or is there another way for me to do them so that they appear on the right side of my work?

Why am I getting a red stitches showing through the green on the right hand side of the tree? I am using a green background and red tree. The red dot is where i make my last loop stitch and change from red to green. It looks OK until I do the next row of double crochet and indent one more stitch - than it stands out.

Really struggling to get this loop because I naturally hold my yarn over that finger but the opposite way. Also because of the fern can’t see where the hook is going

A 5mm hook is recommended but this depends on your tension.

Is it definitely meant to be around 18cm. I can't get it anywhere near without getting cramp and not being able to get my hook in the foundation row 😣 I've done it 5 times now 😭

If you keep your tension consistent throughout each square/panel of your blanket, you will be fine. You will just end up with a bigger blanket than Helen's. 😊

Carrying the yarn is not a good option for this pattern, the colours are too stark and shows thru. I made little balls from the yarn and just start each new colour with the new ball. Ut does mean more threads to weave in, but not that many. Far better than carrying the yarn.
