I have 300h+ on Psyker and I didn't know PW went through walls. I learned something! As for everything else, I can only confirm. I frequently use it to pop specials in the middle of a horde, hordes fall down allowing you to target bombers, shotgunners, snipers etc inside or behind the horde.
Trauma staff also works through walls, and using it to kill pox bursters that spawn directly outside of airlocks before they can ruin your run is always clutch. Also, a deflector Force Sword is SUPER strong as the sword already lets you dodge left and right indefinitely, so you can use it both to travel quickly but also to crab walk your way out of dangerous situations with many shooters or other units. I used it a few times to kite entire hoards of shooters, crushers, bulwarks, etc. because myself and my team were caught out of position. Shooters couldn't damage me, and I was crabbing away fast enough that I wasn't hit by melee, either.
Use No.6 Unleash Warp Charges with the feat "Ascending Blaze" to kill entire hords and/or patroulling shooter (6 warp charges for everything non-elite on damnation). Especially helpful when fighting hords on 2 fronts. Kill the small one behind you with just pressing F and releasing your Stacks into the hord and turn around with your staff of choice/melee for the main hord. Edit: Just found out that it matters which weapon you have in hand to release the Ascending-Blaze-Soulblazes. +25% Flak Damage will have a new breakpoint on both Dreg and Scap Shotgunners being dead by 6 Charges/Stacks
With 6 charges you will basically melt everything apart from Crushers and bosses - especially if you have a Purgatus and keep blasting after your ult. Insane DoT values and feels so, so good.
Great vid. Gotta keep that pox hound push in mind. I've been a big advocate of the brain burst F feat for a while. Its the only final tier penance that doesn't remove all your warp charges and is great for destroying distant elites and hiding gunners.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed! Yea, Kinetic Barrage is really good if you want to have a balance of rapid target elimination while keeping warp resist up for general combat - by far the most versatile and flexible combination of feats!
I forgot quietude is peril quelled and worked with psykinetic wrath. Thank you for pointing this out as I had it stuck in my mind that it only regenerates toughness if you manually or passive quell with it. I'm gonna have to try this with psykinetic's aura now.
4:00 i also like the force swords for this exact reason. even the single target ones which arent the best for horde clearing still are useful because the instant like 20 to 25% (i dont remember the exact amount) peril combine with the toughness on peril quelling means that you can pop youself up to like 75% peril instantly with 3 special attack charges and than quell that for instant toughness healing.
I sometimes use kinetic barrage precisely as a lead in to the strike team assaulting a big group of enemies. Helps rapidly eliminate some of the bigger threats immediately and stack up warp charges for the coming fight. Having led with it often brings it back around to refresh and another use if the fight extends a bit.
The worst part about this ult is that it will NOT stagger anything if you slide while activating it or a few seconds after sliding. Its 100% a bug but always remember to NEVER slide and use this ult because it does not work.
Thanks a bunch. I'm trying to integrate all of these tips so I can bring more to the team - I used to have to keep it saved for preventing self directed brain burst before I started to get the hang of peril management. But that through wall hound rescue feels great every time I do it!
Is it to the benefit of everyone who has a Psyker on their team if they can fully use the tools they have to support and save others! Unfortunately, most other Psykers I'm on the team with don't know you can save others through walls - usually when I'm on the receiving end of being mauled by a dog...
for me I love the psykinetics wrath one that when you have more warp charges the more cd reduction occurs, so I usually just spam wrath for stuff like dogs or just gunners or for more memes with surge staff. since I mainly just use it and surge staff to keep big threats perma-stunned. Although the pop one is usually better, it's pretty nice just to continue since I tend to use wrath off cooldown (I use the 15% cd reduce as well for it)
I love that build to! The full suite of CC and Lockdown. Of course, this video was made before the Quicken changes! Back then all it did was just reduce your cool down - not bonus warp charge gain!
@@rykenxiv yeep, it's so nice, but snipers and gunners and stuff are best left to the professionals unfortunately... (veterans). Atleast they have a build to eat all the bullets :)
So I found a weird queitude thing, that's usually not useful, but maybe. You can rapidly build peril by charging your force sword, switch to a different weapon, and then charge it again. Dunno if it's useful, but it exists.
oh yea! I've seen that before - the one use I have read about is use can use that to rapid gain Peril without having to kill something to blow yourself up for the "Going Out With A Bang" Penance. I personally didn't use it to complete mine, but it was a suggestion on one of its uses!
@@greyfalconow9467 Rather wait until Warp Flurry is fixed. With additional 50% less charge time (lvl4bless) you can play your "gun" on a voidstrike staff without bug using / animation canceling.
1 thing i find kind of odd is, why cant an ogrin free himself of a dog, i mean shuldn´t they be strong enogh to just trow the dog off them selfes, i mean i don´t know if it wuld be to strong, but i think ogrin shuld be able to free themself after a while
