The difference in quality between Messmer and Radahn is abysmal. Messmer is such an enjoyable fight all-in-all, even when you get beaten by him is kind of satisfactory. A very high point of the dlc indeed. And well done indeed, already mastering it like this is awesome, very nice watch.
Bayle is the best dragon fight iof all souls games. Midir in DS3 was so abysmally bad because his onyl weak spit was his head and almost impossible to hit because he held it too high most of the time
@@Kenji-117 Midir is weak af. He has very little and easy-dodgable moveset and accuracy of a drunk truck driver. I fought him a dozen times, I still don't know how much damage his laser does😅 And Placidusax flies and teleports way too much. Bayle exceeds both by a large margin.
I never thought I would be one of the ppl hoping for nerfs but it's sad how the radahn fight honestly feels rly satisfying to learn but then you just have one attack that is basically impossible
I wish they make Miquella's hair more transparent or something. There are so many instances where I got hit by attacks that I usually always dodge because Miquella's hair was hiding radahn's telegraphs.
@@DRNOval The weird obscurity happens equally on phase 1 in my opinion I was using the deflect tear to deal with the first swing of that attack but since he can just track you 180 degrees I couldn't even see it coming half the time because his own body was in the way
The radahn double swing is the bane of every single attempt i have put in so far. The only times i have dodged it, is when he was just straight up not looking at me when he did it.
Scott Jund even just revealed that bullshit attack used to be even worse where if you got tagged by that first hit you get full combo-ed instead of being able to roll out of the second and cross slash lol
You are correct. I noticed this as well when I was fighting Radagon and got pretty frustrated by his relentless golden attacks. At one time I was like, "fk it, Ima just hit him with a dagger and keep circling around him." And it worked, it's crazy man. This game will punish you IF YOU PANIC. Another thing I found that light roll also work best on most PvE bosses and strong enemies. I will be impressed if there are players posting hitless boss fights but with med and heavy load, doing only rolling or parry run. Now that's skills and luck. Light roll is OP.
Regarding the final boss attack mentioned in the beginning of the video: The double slash into cross slash can only be avoided by using the deflect hardtear to perfectly block the first swipe and then you can either perfect block or dodge the subsequent slash into cross slash. That being said, the first swing attack animation is like, half a second so it's brutally tough regardless.
The only thing I would change in the radahn fight is slightly reducing the amount of light beams on attacks, tbh it’s my second favourite boss in the dlc
That radahn attack requires convenient perfect position which means that dodging into his right legs means you just avoid the 2nd slash, but if you’re too close his frame actually pushes you back into the attack💀💀💀💀💀💀💀, anywhere but this one sort of mid range position on his left side means you are getting clipped. The thing is, this attack is actually a reactionary attack so when you react late you get clipped by the first attack but even stranger is if you react late early( if you get what I mean) then the 2nd attack roll catches you and in the 2nd phase coupled the the light rays this is actually a true combo one shot because of the X follow up into light rays, a literal stun lock. But if you react Late ‘Late’ then you end up avoiding the 2nd slash for some reason. If you are so unlucky that he does this after you’ve tried to punish one of his 2 opening in the entire fight you get caught in the animation of the attack, which means you have to play ultra passive against him. This all in tandem with radahn constantly breaking combat with you means that he is nigh impossible to stance break him unless you are using a cragblade set up with a weapon that has access to a high poise dmg move. I actually think this attack is more egregious than waterfowl on Elden ring release. Sry for the rant on radahn on a messmer vid but the attack was mentioned so I had to rant.
I've been learning how to no hit bosses and I got malenia and radagon down, nearly radahn using your guide and im going to learn messmer second phase with this, thanks man
Lmao that was your clip! I saw that and wished I had taken more time to practice Mesmer before I have to go back through on ng+. His fight was so fun, like a dance, and I want to learn him as my first no hit boss.
phase 2 was mostly easier than phase 1 for me, because in phase 1 he obscures a lot of his animations with fire, and his attacks look pretty similar im addition
Came here to see some "fancy pants bullshit" and was rewarded with a banger boss break down, thanks for the vid! XD Hope to see more stuff from you on youtube mate.
ok so that spear dig attack can you strafe it on med equipment? I’ve tried without luck, also his circle sweep is easily strafed as the hit box is only right in front of him
to dodge radahns double swipe you have to KNOW he is gonna do it, that's the hard part, but you can do it, the animation is very specific, now how to dodge it: you will basicall playwith your position, if the boss is on your left, you'll wanna dodge sharp to the right diagonal, and if the boss is on your right, you'll wanna dodge sharp to the left diagonal, basically you will endup almost behind him and the second attack won't hit you, then just dodge the third ,I actually got this right a lot of times on my practice, but it's kinda hardd to understand when he'll do the attack
@@oolohKeep it in mind…. also can you make a rellana no hit guide mate ive beat her already but i feel bad getting shat on and ending the fight with a sliver of health and no health flasks. I need your guidance for the future mate
When I fought Messmer he seemed strong but 100% fair. Not a single bullshit or "what the hell I'm even supposed to do here" move. I knew how to counter every move after 2-3 times of seeing it. Same shit for Rellana. Bayle was the best dragon fight in all fromsoft history and an owner of my new favorite ER soundtrack. Radahn was straight up bullshit, learning him was not fun at all and my eyes were hurting so much during this fight.
