Hundreds of unlicensed handguns have been legally brought into the UK and sold to criminals due to a loophole in the law, an investigation by BBC Panorama reveals.
The guns are exempt from legislation because they’re classified as antique weapons.

It's also expensive and prone to failure unless you buy 44 Russian casings which are gonna cost you a lot. For example, one Martini-Henry 577/450 casing will cost you £10 in some places.

Scary that an obselete gun was sold?! The whole world is so soft these days. Us Texans are the only tough state left in the world. We have real men here who dont flinch at the sight of a weapon. Got an AR, .40 Gloc for my personal carry, n my wife has a 9mm at home for her use. The AR is to keep my gov in check and end burglars lives. Already used my .40 to stop one break in at my home. No shots meeded to be fired, just pointing it can be a deterent.

Why is this a problem exactly? This guy is wowed by a "lethal weapon" when all weapons can be lethal, even a rock, spoon, or handkerchief. It's almost like they don't understand that everyone has the capability to kill other people with their bare hands and it's them choosing not to murder others that actually keeps you safe, not these laws.

How would someone shoot someone with it considering they don't even make ammunition for it anymore 😂 There are instructions on line to build a simple submachine gun that fires 9mm ammo. @AMG BOYZ you're overestimating how common ammunition is for obsolete calibre weapons. I'm a cartridge collector and I'm telling you now you'll be paying £20+ for an EMPTY and INERT cartridge, purchasing primers etc to fit is illegal so if gun laws are working then it should be impossible. Making ammunition is do-able yes, but it's not as simple as people like to make out, certainly not any more simple than just making an illegal gun anyway for a fraction of the cost.
@Kav.
@Kav. 4 года назад
@AMG BOYZ care to tell me where you find inert primers, I've never heard of these in my many years of cartridge collecting. 3F Black powder requires an explosives licence (iirc) and appropriate storage so it's not something you can just buy but I'll give you a pass on that because it's not hard to make low quality BP. I'm sceptical about your match stick method, the red phosphorous (iirc) used in match sticks is sensitive yes but I don't know if it's that sensitive to impacts. Finding 44 Russian cases is not as easy as you'd think, I've never seen a single inert .44 Russian for sale (not that I've been looking) so I doubt cases would be so easy to find.
@punishedgloyperstormtroope8098
@@Kav. nail gun blanks for example contain smokeless powder along with live priming powder for example and they aren’t regulated or licenced in the uk or Europe. And most inert ammo has used inert primers. The laws in Europe are people silly. They dont stop criminals. Austria is much better Austria has very nice gun laws where you dont need a license for rifles etc while simultaneously having low crime rates and low gun crime rates. Austria is something Germans and Brits should look up to to replicate gun law wise.
@keithwhisman
@keithwhisman 4 года назад
You can buy empty cartridges for .44 Russian and reload them with a press. Pretty easy.
@baroque4daysanti-gasequipm225
@baroque4daysanti-gasequipm225 3 года назад

@punishedgloyperstormtroope8098
@@baroque4daysanti-gasequipm225 yeah but powder is readily available without licenses in the form of blanks and so on, so licensing of powder makes no sense if it’d allowed if its inside blanks
