7:45 Honestly this delivery is just priceless. Travis has fought things on a human, spiritual, virtual, and now galactic level, to the point of his fight with Fu just being another kill for him, and he's living it up.
I feel like FU’s voice actor doesn’t get enough appreciation. Dude gave an incredible range perfect for the combination of a snobby douchebag and psychotic killer. By the end of it he was one of my favorite characters in the story
Yeah, he was good and he's on RU-vid! Tbf, there's not that many plot changing characters in this game anyways. Really FU and Travis can be focused on those two, the rest is flourishes from previous games
Sometimes i cant tell if this game is a passionate love letter of several forms of media or the most expensive high quality shit post ever made Maybe its both.
In a sense, psychopathic assassin killers became heroes that saved the Earth and the Galaxy, and found some sorta empathy for life and each other along the way. This story from NMH 1 up to now is really a great piece of storytelling and very damn fun to play, the characters all start off as unlikable killers who only enjoy killing and bloodlust, but become something else entirely that makes them see that there is more to life and that ends up making us all root for them in the end. The many styles that Suda uses is so damn great, from vintage to modern day and also with western and anime troupes. So many genres and it’s amazing.
I love how the fights with Damon are basically a victory lap, the guy's barely a threat. He's not an assassin, he's not a superhero - he's just an angry pissbaby
Metal Gear, Daemon X Machina, Gundam, Smash, Akira, and however many more I missed, this finale had it all. And with the major teasers at the end, it doesn't look Suda51 is done messing with us yet.
Fu said "Fuck this shit, I'm ou- *Blows up*" Edit: Yeah, this game seriously has a ton of charm and a lot to admire. Now I'm really curious if this game will be ported to Steam like the other NMH games were.
It reminds me of how Sol tried to hid the secret that Justice/Aria was his girlfriend, Dizzy along with Ramlethal and El were his daughter, Ky is his son in law, and Sin is his grandson.
the ending such a massive tease, also the DXM Arsenal popping out of nowhere to SSBU fight with daemon this game just doesn't cease to amaze, hopefully that family war arc will be in another NMH Spin-off lol
This game has felt like one big fever dream from start to finish. You try to wrap ypur head around it but then it takes a left turn completely out of nowhere
"The Mech from Daemon x Machina, from the Japanese publisher Marvelous, an Arsenal?" That's when I knew this isn't a game from Suda 51. This is a high quality shitpost from Suda 51. THUNDER BREAK!
Man seeing this ending after going through a butt-ton of craziness. Fu, Super Smash Brothers with Damon, and then the true ending. It gives me so many questions to ask..but I know I'll never get the answers to. Though I think people won't notice when Travis keeps saying Snap or Snippity-Snap. I think that's a callback to when Gold Joe said all of that in their encounter.
"Not even my dad has ever hit me!" JESUS FUCK A GUNDAM REFERENCE IN NMH?!?! This game is goated. Edit: And when the Arsenal shows up it pulls a Turn A/Turn X Moonlight Butterfly????? What the fuck IS this game? I love it.
Too... Many... References... I don't even know which one to make a joke on. 1) Suda making his own Smash and now if we get a "No More Heroes" spinoff like what we saw with Shovel Knight, I'd be all for it. 2) Cashing in on that crossover to get some Daemon x Machina goodness while also actually making it relevant to the plot. 3) All this happening because... Travis hit Damon. 4) I still enjoyed the Rocky, who doesn't? And so many more that probably would cause some to bash their head against their sleepy friend's head until it caved in due to playing more than 10 hours of video games every day.
I never played the game, but looking at this now. I can't fuckin' believe what my eyes are witnessing. This is so beyond unbelievable to a point that makes me think Suda51 (Might as well be called Suda69) is literally a god, like wtf?
Maybe both. It could be that FU was using Damon since he was a child with that um..."shiny finger thingy" to give Damon the knowlegde and some sort of special power that allow Damon to become a big shot that can serve FU's plan later on. However as time goes by, Damon has also become a bigger asshole and started to manipulate FU since his second arrival.
Shes the woman who invented the death drive in TSA. Back then Damon worked with her and wanted to make a video game he envisioned but juvenile scraped it from him. He wanted to work on a game of his own but ended up force to do the shadows of the damned sequel. So basically they had a falling out, damon beat the crap out of her physically for not getting what he wanted and tells all about it to travis as travis was collecting the death balls. So travis kicks his ass saying hes not worth killing and hes trash so damon wants to get his revenge in TSA.
