No More Heroes | All Beam Katana, Wrestling Moves & Dark Side Mode Attacks [Skill Primer] 

Strawberry on the Shortcake and Strawberry Chocolate Sundae are the dopest power ups, wish they didn’t get rid of those!

Blueberry Cheese Brownie was the one I got the most across the two back-to-back playthroughs of this game I did 2 years ago. And now I know the names of all the wrestling moves, too. The low charge attack for the Tsubaki MK-III is beyond busted. It wasn’t until the end of my second playthrough that I finally learned how to perform it on command. It came really in handy for the Henry fight, and it’s extremely useful for countering his instakill.

The Deathblows are a very underrated feature of the No More Heroes series. Always loved the slight slow-motion before a deathblow connects. Makes it feel very heavy hitting, chunky and weighty whenever it lands. Especially on multiple enemies at the same time. The katanas even have their own flair to it: - The Blood Berry just have quick get get-er'-done type finishes. - The Tsubaki Mk-1 has a little bit of flair on them, with the Left Deathblow having the 'Samurai wicking the blood off his blade' finish and the Down Deathblow being one-handed. One handed attacks are always so much cooler. - Tsubaki Mk-2 starts getting more over-the-top, with the Samurai finish on the Up Deathblow, the Super Slugger Grand Slam on the Right and then the full on Super Mario on the Down. - And then we have the Tsubaki Mk-3, in which Travis goes full Moe. The whole moveset is just anime nonsense that just works, with the Harakiri in his Low Combo and the Roflcopter Decapitator 5000 on the Low Charge Attack. And then we have the Trunks Shining Sword Attack on the Down Deathblow and finally, my favorite: The Wind Up Here Comes The Pain Katana Bitch Slap of Doom on the Left Deathblow. It'd be cool if more games could do this. I know that Godhand has something similar with the Roulette and Let It Die with their Finishers.

Blood Berry actually has an 8 attack combo if you do all of the dumbell training.

Man watching this makes me wish they would port this game along with the second one to modern consoles.

are you planning on making one of these for No More Heroes 2 if there's not one already, It'd be nice to have a video that shows off all the beam katanas and move-sets of that game as well since it's annoying how hard it is to find any videos that showcase them aside from having to search through full playthroughs. with how good this skill primer is it'd work wonderfully. especially with the possibility of the switch version.
