It's crazy they gave Shinobu 2 full levels (with awful bosses) and then Henry gets the best moveset and only boss fight. And then they have the gall to taunt us saying "well there were other fights, but we didn't allocate budget to it, so here are some pictures lol."

​ @NebulouScholar Absolutely. We were robbed of the King. His moveset was OP too (much akin to Vergil, which is no coincidence). I know that 50 boss fights, let alone each one being individually unique, is asking for a bit much: but no way that they couldn't have allocated at least some to Henry. Shinobu also was pretty fun to play as too, minus the platforming in her levels. It truly is a shame that her bosses drew a focus on platforming. Her moveset is very cool and her Downed and Air Deathblow are absolutely GOATed. Reminds me of Hakumen's Overdrive on BBCF. QOL changes are usually a luxury, but man; a freeplay mode with a character select, sort of like the Boss Mode but you can play the whole level, would have been cool. We could of gotten a little more mileage out of Henry and Shinobu's brief appearances. Shinobu's levels, given the platforming, would be a little wonky to work with but it could be feasibly done. Rumor has it that Suda51 took a backseat and wasn't all that involved in the development of NMH2, which explains why it feels a little different (especially in some aspects like visually, thematically, etc) and is often seen as the black sheep of the franchise. NMH2 is still a cool game for me at least. #2, behind NMH1.

They should just added both characters to the full campaign. Also I'm surprised nobody's made a mod to the steam version so we could use shinobu and henry

Blood Berry has the worst battery life and It has the slowest recharge of all the weapons however, it has the highest damage output of Travis' weapons and good swing speed. Just try not to do much blocking with this weapon and especially against range attacks. The second hardest to master, but the best one once you know how to manage your battery. Camellia Mk.III is the most balanced weapon of the roster. it has short Range and does Less Damage than Blood Berry but it swing Speed is more faster and has more battery life than Blood Berry. Can knock enemies Airborne and continue damaging them when the Ecstasy Gauge is maxed. Can Inst-Kill anyone with in range daring death blow. (I think) Peony Its has good battery life and has the average damage. However, it has the slowest swing speed in the game. This weapon does have a unique gimmick however. The reach of this weapon extends the higher Travis' ecstasy gauge is, giving it the longest reach of his beam katanas. Combined with the stun locking capability and you'll be able to stop them from playing the game. Use this for mobs and Just make sure you don't get hit. Rose Nasty is debatably the worse one by far, it's Camellia with worse damage but has the fastest swing speed, longest combos and the best battery life. The only downside to this weapon is its low damage output but makes up for it with it combo potential. Use this for mashing those fukn buttons. By far the hardest beam katana to master. I hope this helps.

Nmh 2 is a game of hidden mechanics. And i found that Rose Nasty has a punish move. (that looks kind off like dark step) And all the parry(on any weapon, any character) activate instant max charge attack.

It'd be cool if you unlocked Henry's Katana as like an endgame award and travis' fighting style would be more like fencer

I'm surprised they never let us use Henry's Cross Saber, it would be so cool to use. I mean, I guess it was usable in Heroes' Paradise, but I think it just used the Tsubaki Mk-III moveset.

Very nice. A really unappreciated game with a combat system way more in-depth than it seems on first glance. Adding on, something I never see used by anyone that plays this are the beat mixed combo attacks (or whatever they're called) If you throw a punch/kick in the middle of a sword combo, it has a different attack depending on how far you are in the combo. An good example is if you low slash 3 times with any sword, then throw a kick, Travis throws a spinning heel kick that has massive knockback and usually causes a knockdown on most enemies. The most useful one to know is if you finish a combo and throw a punch/kick (punch for high combo/kick for low combo) just before the last hit lands, the screen will darken and the enemy will instantly be dazed and Travis will automatically perform a wrestling move on them. It is essentially a free on-demand insta-kill on any enemy, no matter how much health they have. It doesn't work on bosses, however.

While the moveset feels faster and expanded, I don't particularly think it's improved over the first game, primarily with beat attacks not being guard breaks anymore. I think the beat finisher stun is only guaranteed when your meter is maxed, so combat feels more mashy in general. Either way, it was still fun to play.

Thank you. So much for this. This game feels sooooooo much lighter, almost slippery coming from NMH1, and with no training room getting used to the kits was HARD

Yeah, the combat feels much faster than the first game. It took some figuring out to find how some mechanics and things changed over.

Perfect this is a great showcase so glad to finally get to see you finish this one up, all the different styles are so much easier to see like this. All that’s left now is no more heroes Travis strikes again Which is mostly gonna be all the death glove chips the 4 characters with their 2 unique chips, 2 characters combo chip Standard attack, jump attack light/heavy, And Three shirt Easter egg moves. Then no more heroes 3

I'll definitely have to get around to playing those. Unlike NMH and 2, I really know nothing about TSA and 3. I just know TSA plays totally differently, so I wasn't sure if I could even do a Skill Primer for it. With your heads up, I now know I can look forward to playing it and planning it out!

@@NebulouScholar No problem glad to give you some insight, Yea TSA does play quite differently personally I enjoyed the varied level styles (Solo and Co-up style) and since the game it self isn't very long you'll mostly spend time reading about Travis's journey in between levels which if you enjoy a semi-visual novel experience it'll be a nice break between the levels.

But the Peony I don't like that Katana why 1. Is an Expensive Katana (300,000LB$ Rlly) 2. It's a Heavy and Long Beam Katana (I Preferr Fast, Close Range or Dual Wield Katana)
