Hi I was doing knee straightening exercises for three months but your massage and knee mobilisation techniques made the difference in one day .. thanks a lot from bottom of my heart
not many videos out there with 0 BS and just value! Loved your video, cheers mate! especially the massage for patella, I’m going to practice this often now.
Me too, at school I see all my friends playing football and I was like "I wish I had good knees" while I sat down :/. Just know that you're not alone bruh
I have chondromalacia in my left knee. I was told that I actually had no sporting future but I used a patellar strap and did a tonne of strengthening exercise for my knee and tendon and I was able to play in the division 1 college soccer league. I wore a patellar strap for 2 years until I didn't have to anymore. I feel some slight pain in the same knee now and again. So I'm gonna try these exercises
Thank you so much for this video, my knee feels so much better after just one day. The perpendicular massage alleviates my pain within minutes, it's amazing! Because of coronavirus, I cannot visit my wonderful physical therapist at the moment. This video is a life saver
Thank you for posting. It already feels much better. I've had the condition for 5 years, but usually only 1 or 2 times a year. Now it's coming around more often, longer and more painful. Finally I looked to RU-vid, and thank God I found this video. It already feels much better and I will be doing these exercises as part of my daily routine going forward.
How mine started: I was walking around in the the water and nailed my left knee on a rock. Huge bruise been having problems with my left knee. So glad I found this video time to do the right stretches.
You’re videos are so informative and spot on, you’ve helped me fix a few problems and I’m very grateful I found your RU-vid channel! Keep doing what you’re doing cause you’re great at it.
You guys are really great and are a great couple. You really have inspirered me with all of your great amazing videos of exercises. Thanks a lot for this video too and for the advice, information and tips. 😊😊👍👍👍👍
Woooow!! I experienced knee pain for almost 2 weeks or more, then I found this, after I tried it for just one session the pain was gone!! Thank you so much 🙏🏻
So I’m doing this.. and front of knee hurts during all of it. I’m 35 I’m not sure if it’s normal to have that much pain there. I do weightlifting but have always struggled with squats, probably not using the best form.
You have to allow it to rest for a bit. I would start off with the ice, massage and stretching for a week or 2 then progress to adding the exercises for a few weeks. I wouldn't even do the squats or lunges for about 4-6 weeks
@@kittykat632thanks for the response. This was an old post and in the last year I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t think it’s tendinitis. Doc said I have little to no cartilage in that knee but I think it’s more of a muscular imbalance. Left hip is really tight (side of knee pain) and pretty weak leg muscles. Still trying to figure it out..
I havent run for a year because of this pain but finally got some physio and with doing my exercises for the last 3 months I am finally pain free and looking at a return to running program. I thought I'd never run again, so I am very very happy. I'm.making a gym at home now.
Thank you. Really benefitted me. I play tennis and the knee pain was bothering me for a while. Just 3 days of your exercises and it's already reduced by half . Thanks again
I've got a peroneal tendonitis for almost two years, it's limiting my life, I can only walk with pain :( could you make a video to treat peroneal tendonitis? Thank you!
I have pain right there from Squats and lunges and teaching fitness classes, I find Leg extensions in the gym in the machine really give me a lot of relief setting it to a really light weight and just holding for 10-20 seconds.
I watched a few videos because I had a knee pain from skating and I wanted to get rid of it now this video actually summarized all the other videos I watched and gave me more informations thanks a lot 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I will start doing this I pray it will work again thanks so much
I believe split squats are what started my issue, now I'm struggling to squat more than 405 and feel like I'm relying heavily on my "good leg" to make it happen.
I'm at the initial stage of this. Where after 3-5 hours of basketball I feel some patellar tendon inflammation on the part on the tibia. I only feel it at the end of the exercise and it goes away within 8-16 hours. But it doesn't seem to be getting better. My doctor told me to just stop doing all exercise for 3-6 weeks. This just sounds like a good way to get weaker and prone to reinjury down the road and lacking the proper balance of healing but getting stronger. This video convinced me to consult a physical therapist and or sports medicine specialist to get this treated before it gets worse and get the proper balance and exercises so this doesn't become a life long chronic issue. While 3-5 hours of basketball 7 days a week probably isn't helping. This convinces me some balance other then doing nothing probably is best but only an expert like the person in this Video can properly guide me through this. Look forward to scheduling a visit with physical therapist tomorrow.
My knees hurt due to squats and my knees hurt everytime i do squat. I just did 1 round of the above exercises and surprisingly the squats and lunges does not hurt at all!! I'm super amazed and so glad I found this video. Really appreciate it!!!!❤
Trained since my teens and now i'm 55. I am still in good shape but the knee pain is depressing. Gonna give these a go. Thank you to you and you wife for this video. Steve from the UK.
Thanks for this video. Top of my left patellar tendon is a little swollen and tender and hurts to squat, although tolerable. It still causes me grief. So stating today I’m doing your routine, and adding some more glute activations.
@@toneandtighten Wouldn't happen to have any videos on heel bursitis or spurs? Could be plantar fascia issues too.. came on suddenly after doing some running. Inner heel. Same leg as the knee interestingly.
I’m 16 years old, in early 2020 I was running the mile for my p.e class and halfway through my right knee popped and I stopped for a second and when I tried to run again my knee kept popping and it was painful, ever since I wake up with a stiff knee and i sort of have to pop back it in. I really hate it and I’ve been to physical therapy and it hasn’t really fixed the problem and I’m still too young and I loved running so much
Yeah, the wobbly part I just don't understand what is going on internally. That said, I had an earlier bout, and the physical therapist had me do some of the exercises that are shown in the video. They do work, over time.
I have been dealing with this pain for the past year. 2 weeks ago, I pulled it while doing wind sprints. I'm 49 and just can't do what I used to be able to do for exercising. Pushing it too hard sometimes. I am going to physio. I will try your exercises. It's a very frustrating injury that isn't going away. Thank you so much for your video and I hope it helps 😭
I was watching your video about the knee and I have varicose vein. I started doing some leg exercise and could feel it. what a difference. thank you. stupendous day. much better. awesome videos.
Question a physical Theraphist had me dynamic exercises for my knee pain such as hop scotch and skipping. I’m no doctor I thought was not being treated properly and my doctor was incompetent. So this is this why I’d like to say thank you because I’ve been subscribed to your channel and doing your exercises and they been helping me out
I think mine started with increased weight on my belly, thighs and buttocks !! LOL. Got Xrays and for a 60 year old, Dr. said i have some mild arthritis under my kneecap. Sent me to "therapy" for stretching and such. I've incorporated some of your work into this as well.
No video or article says WHEN to start these exercises. I took cipro (antibiotic) and a couple months ago my knee was clicking very slightly sore, but back of my knees both hurt. A couple months went by and the pain died down and was back to normal. Went indoor climbing and than also hit my knee at work once it already hurt, and now my knee has been hurting quite bad to where there is sharp pain. Zero inflammation. Pain in definitely below, definitely behind kneecap, both also on the interior side of my knee close To kneecap. Am I ok to work out with these types of stretches? I read articles stating stretching can make it worse and cause damage. I feel as if Ice does nothing for me except make my knee feel creaky afterwards. Heat feels nice. But yes again I have zero idea of when to actually start stretches and how to know if it’s too early
The issue which I have is that I can do all range of motions even I have been playing football ever since I have got the injury and probably 5-6 months or more time has passed . But I don't feel pain even while playing and doing all types of motion even I can lock and straighten my knee without any pain or issue but the only issue is that when I'm standing straight at that time I can't completely straighten my right knee like I ca do with my left knee. And whenever I do so while standing straight I feel like my knee is rushing back but at that time also I don't feel much pain it's like almost nil it just gives an unusual feeling with a little little pain which doesn't affect at all. But it's clear that there's a issue but I'm unable to understand what to do as I'm not feeling pain in any part of knee it just feels that it'll go back and locks a bit when I straighten it up that also when I stand straight it doesn't happen when I straighten it up at any other angle. And there is no popping sound and no swelling but I do have knocked knee and and flat foot. SO WHAT SHALL I DO PLEASE TELL? If u can atleast tell which part of my knee has been most probably been injured it will be a great help.
So informative, thank you! Runner here, diagnosed with “condromalacia” over 3 years ago. It still bothers me, despite rest, stretching, & strengthening. I tried the cross friction massage, and it was VERY tender! Maybe I was too aggressive, as I’m a little bruised. Is tenderness to the touch normal? I’m thinking another visit to the doctor is in order.
Hey lovely couple! 😍😍Not even sure if you are going to read this but I was liking your most recent videos, since I've been a bit MIA lately, when.. surprise! I clicked on this one, happy to see Camille in it (yaay!!) and it describes perfectly my current predicament. I've been having a pain in my right knee for several days now and the diagnose was a tendinitis. Everything you mention up until the glute bridge is what the doctor advised. Well, actually, you are way much more accurate and helpful as usual!! 😃😃. They are fantastic tips although right now I can't do any of the exercises described from that part on, because the pain is still there.😞 Thank you so much for the great variety of topics you touch and offer, Jared!! You guys are quickly approaching the 1M subscribers!!! 👋👋👋👋 Respect 🙌🙌. Best and kindest regards to my favorite RU-vid fitness' role models🤩🤩🤩
Runner here, just getting back to a running routine after a 2 year break. I am using a walk run program to ease back into it and I'm noticing mild pain. Should I stop running while I focus on these exercises and if so for how long?
My son plays soccer he has lots of pain. He will begin these excercises now. Should he break from soccer/sports for some weeks ? Or continue his sports ?
I’ve been suffering from knee (patellar) pain for 4 months . No pain walking or during the day but pain wakes me up from a deep sleep. I only get 4-5 hours of sleep a day. I just started PT and they are mainly strengthening exercises which hurt my knee. I love your program but sadly at my age 80 but a very active one would not be able to do the exercises your young lady did. Any recommendations for me. Docs are about to prescribe pain meds so I can sleep 😢
Awesome, thank you very much ! I just did 3x20 of the wall sits, OMG my legs were shaking like jelly, and I thought I was quite fit ! LOL. OMG I just watched it again and you said to hold it for 60 seconds, 24 seconds was my max, this will be my new fitness goal, 1 minute wall sits, amazing and thanks again, so glad I subscribed to your channel .
Oh god😅 i get sick looking at that knee wobbling around and i also dislike that feeling massaging there... but i will try this, cause til now, every exercise i got from you, was very helpfull💙
Hi, thank you so much for this video, very helpful 😊 Don you recommend to use a knee compression sleeve to alleviate pain? I work standing up as a waitress for long hours. Thanks
I experience pain in the patellar when seated. With the leg in a bent position for a period of time. Such as when driving. Is this down to the same problem?
Icing this problem made the problem horrific for me because the pain is worse when it's cold, and the quads are cold. I'd ice it religiously at night and the kneecap remains frozen all night and cold in the morning. Even exercising in a 79F pool was painful. As soon as I stopped icing it drastically improved. What fixed it was just massive quad strenghtening for me, doing full stack weight knee extensions for 12 reps x 5 sets, and sprinting up the stairs.
The visual was better on your own leg with the over view that really helped! Every time your client is wearing a covering over the area you can’t really see the area or technique.
Needing another hip replaced born congenital hip dysplasia..I had right hip done in 2018 and after a guy fell on my left leg I can barely walk so need the left one done... do you have rehab videos for that
I just got a knee pain today and I've been stressing out and crying about it a lot. I'll try and do this. Day 1: It was kinda hard to do the last one because I was a bit scared that it would hurt my knee more but I did it. Ofc, nothing happened yet so I'll uptade tomorrow. Day 2: I've been feeling a little bit better

Hi I am 1 month and a half into my patella tendon sprain, I'm scared to do these although I called a therapist and he told me to bring a towel and roll it up and put it under my knee and start pressing on the quads and press on my toe muscles for the hamstrings, is this a good exercise?
I don't experience pain, rather it feels like a pressure as if someone was pressing their thumb on it. Almost has the sensation of being swollen without it looking swollen. Also currently recovering from IT band syndrome as a competitive distance runner.
