So far the best signing of free agency for me is Jake Bean. Coming into his prime, could easily be a solid 5/6+. Most importantly, he wants to be here and I'm sure he'll want to stay here! That equates to a guy that will give it all for the team, and put some positive vibes back into the team culture.

Honestly have to give Conroy an A grade for his work this year. I would have liked to see more returned in the Hanifin/Tanev/Zad deals but to me it clearly feels like GMs smartened up this year and stopped throwing around 1st rounders and top prospects. When you compare the deals to other trades this year he got fair value.

I still have faith in Huberdeau. Yeah, i get it. It took him a season and a half to really get going. But he was almost performing at a point per game for the last half of the season, and we were starting to see more flashes of why he is such a good player, and he was finding chemistry with the guys. Plus, he was finally playing more of a calgary style game. I think he will be just fine. Im predicting he will hit at least 70 points this season, especially now that we have sharky locked in

I think Vladar is going to play a lot more games than people are assuming. I just dont think Wolf is quite ready to dominate the goalie position.

Thank you for the update as always Mark 🙏 I wanted to ask now that we are getting into the new season soon... are you going to be showing any highlights? It would be so awesome if you could do a weekly or even monthly episode of dangits and hat picks (like Steve Dangles old show), but specifically for the flames and maybe even our AHL team too. I might have to make a full video on it! But I’ll tell you right now I think our top prospect is Parekh and his ceiling is the next Bobby Orr and his floor is a good Quinn Hughes on his day….. okay maybe I’m out to lunch on this one but I’m obsessed with the guy! 😂😂🔥🔥

It seems like the doldrums in signings, but Conroy’s also responsible for getting the Wranglers fully manned. They’ve lost a few players to other teams and need to get a few guys.

Treliving panicked and signed Hubie and Kadri to very rich long term contracts. Mistakes for sure but what's done is done. Kadri is still a tradable asset if he wants to be or maybe he stays. No big deal either way. You just make the best of it that you can. Hubie is different. Not likely tradeable but it isn't the end of the world. He is a good guy, good team player, good mentor, his 2 way play is improving, he is putting in the effort and he might catch some chemistry and catch fire once in a while too. Again, you just have to face the reality and stop whining about that contract and move on. Fill out a team with him as a good member amongst a cast of good characters. He is not the centerpiece. He is a member.

@@EsspressoMan1 I don't think anyone is expecting playoffs at this point. Getting a top 5 pick and seeing growth from the young players is the goal.
