🎉 thank you yeah I need to do this with every pass for headlights. Haven't seen a good sale in pad washers yet

They don’t go on sale very often, we have basically no margin on them we just carry them cause they work so well and we want to meet your needs when you shop on the website :)

Rumour has it that Nick once got his polisher too close to the water, and the resulting shock knocked his mustach and mullet clean off! 🤣

Good tip. Can you use dish soap to wash it in the sink?

Yes you can!

When you’re totally done with the detail, is that when you should use an actual pad cleaner?
@diydetailofficial
@diydetailofficial 6 месяцев назад
No, during the detail. Never put clean polish on a dirty pad.

Do I need more than one pad for the whole car? And also when I use the gold standard is it safe to ceramic coat after?
@dubu12
@dubu12 6 месяцев назад
make sure to wipe with isopropyl alcohol after you polish if you are going to ceramic coat after
@diydetailofficial
@diydetailofficial 6 месяцев назад
One pad if kept clean is all you need. Yes you can coat after using DIY Detail Panel Prep.

“256 to 1” might as well be Greek to me. I know that a ratio for mixing but hey in the real world we don’t speak like that, trust me.

For a gallon of water, just a capful to make it easy
@diydetailofficial
@diydetailofficial 6 месяцев назад
256/1 is admittedly a little obscure, but it’s a common ratio in detailing ( as is 128/1 and 512/1). A gallons contains 128oz, and we suggest 1/2 oz per gallon, or if you prefer 1 oz for 2 gallons of water. To be more accurate the ratio is actually 250/1 or 4ml per litre.

Being from EU helps me so much understand this. Just 2ml in a (what it looks like) 500ml bucket 😂

There is no space in your rinse less wash 😂 of course you need another of their product. Maybe you can use it instead of milk with cereal. Get that lucky charms shine while you eat
@diydetailofficial
@diydetailofficial 28 дней назад
Its actually one less product to have, no need for a dedicated pad cleaner

I’m a diesel mechanic but never buffed a car. For now shoukd I just use my orbital sander with a pad and then eventually get a duel action? Also dual action means it’s random orbital and has forced rotation like a rotary right?
@diydetailofficial
@diydetailofficial 5 месяцев назад
Yes use your sander, eventually you can choose another tool if you need
