No Prep Streetrod? Scaling Dad's 27 Ford thinking about no prep streetracing this streetrod as the weight bias is ideal, but I need to make shock changes and 4 link changes. This could be so much fun!!! Of course a 200 shot of nitrous would be on tap!!! Can a streetrod convert to noprep?? Stay tuned to watch this streetrod go street racing! Considering the power to weight, with some N2O helping on the top, it may even be a tad competitive.

My dad is also 78 and still winning races in the Vega. Car runs 5.40s and we've built everything ourselves. Weve been racing the car for 31yrs.

I'd totally take it to a street / no prep event. Most of the kids nowadays would laugh at it and assume it's a slow old man streetrod.. Looks like a lotta fun.

Put a converter in it and it will fly no prep.should be quick enough for a 78 year old. Thx for sharing kevin

Yes lot more work to do with cage and seat belts and motor freshen up transmission would like to have Kevin’s motor from his T bucket 10:45

Needs roll cage and seatbelt straps! And in that thing, probably should have arm retention devices! lol I know I ain't tellin' you nothin' Kevin, you're smarter than me when it comes to setting up a racecar for safety. Have fun guys!! P.S. I sure hope you're not always getting "the law" called on you by your "neighbors" for doing a little burp burp from time to time.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Cool little T-Bucket. He would like no prep and it'd probably take him back in time. I appreciate seeing the old times out doing their thing. That was my grandfather and now my dad. The thing my grandfather and dad like about the no prep is it's just drag racing back to it roots where it started before track surface prep with vht and everything got involved. My grandfather started street racing in 1955 and then did some track and street.

Thanks so much! I have never drag raced a FWD car... ever. My 2005 Honda Accord V6 doesn't really count, but that little thing has embarrassed many cars on the streets light to light and on the interstate!! 🤣 I actually am not aware of anyone to even recommend. I am sure someone out there has that as some experience on this though. Having said all of that, I am not afraid to try to help. I will tell you how to get rid of the bump steer he has. The pitman arm pivot needs to be in line with the radius rod pivot. this way the tires won't be turning L and R when the front axle goes up and down.( different radius lengths have different arcs of course)

You need a LOT more motor if you are going to small tire no prep.

It is about the fun for us... it will have a 200 shot on it with a button for dad to progress in for sure... at 78 yrs old I would pay money to watch him out there regardless if we ever win. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!

I've looked through your videos and havnt seen what I'm looking for. I have a 1970 c10 shortbed with the factory trailing arm suspension. Do you have any videos on this type if suspension? Is it worth pursuing as a drag type suspension? Any upgrades needed for this type of setup? Thanks

@@KevinWilsonSBCat the moment the 406 im putting in it is a solid roller build ported heads, pretty stout. Around 500hp unsure of torque. But I plan to give it 150 to 200 shot aswell. At some point I plan to probably put a 5.3 or 6.0 turbo LS setup in it. What im running in my chevelle is a turbo 5.3 making roughly 700hp according to track times. I will appreciate a video on the c10 stuff for sure being its my next on the todo list.
